About: As a lifelong dog lover, owner, and certified dog trainer, I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog in my care. I combine patience, attentive care, and professional knowledge of dog behavior to make sure your dog feels safe, understood, and happy while they're with me. **I prioritize your dog's well-being and want you to feel confident knowing they're genuinely cared for.** I keep a consistent schedule of recurring dog-walking and training appointments, while reserving time for boarding, daycare, and other care needs. I plan my schedule around confirmed bookings so that each dog in my care has their well-being prioritized. I'm happy to discuss your dog's needs and see what works with my availability. **Walks & drop-ins: 9 AM–7 PM **Boarding & daycare drop-off/pick-up: 8 AM–8 PM I pay close attention to each dog's body language, communication, and individual temperament so I can respond appropriately and help them feel safe and comfortable. Good care means more than keeping a dog fed and exercised. I provide structure, reinforce good manners, and make sure nuisance behaviors aren't allowed to become habits while your dog is in my care. I build trust through patience, consistency, and clear communication, while adapting my approach to each individual dog.
“Llewyn is simply the best. They are kind and patient with my shy kitties and even managed to get a close up photo of my little feral kitty! They were flexible and responsive and this kept me confident the cats were well cared for while I was away. I will rebook with them for sure!”

About: I'm a lover of all pets, young and old, big and small. I grew up on a farm in New Jersey around horses and a variety of other animals. I’ve got experience with it all! For dogs specifically, I like to do walks, hikes, swimming, even to a play day at the park. I’ve also administered medication to dogs of all ages and sizes. My Schedule is flexible so I can be available for your pup as long as needed and they get the care and attention they need when they are in an unfamiliar environment. Feel free to reach out to me at anytime for pictures/updates or FaceTime calls. I know I always worry when leaving my little one so I will do everything I can so you won’t have to. I love dogs that are not mine as if they were my own! I have many years of caring for dogs and other animals. I am good at taking care of multiple pets and different types of pets. I have taken care of dogs who need meds, older dogs, puppies, etc. I will always provide support, patience, and most importantly playtime hours for every kind of dog. I also respect the boundaries and environment of every and any home I walk into.
“Just had Maya for two weeks worth of drop-ins on my kitties while I was gone for a work training, and she was amazing!! I just got home and was so happy to see my boys happy with clean litter, food, and water upon my return. She sends great check-ins with lots of pictures and it’s obvious she dedicates quality time to your pets. She played with my boys and gave treats on every visit. I like to peek in on the cats via my cameras when I’m gone and they disconnected one day due to a WiFi outage, and she even came over an extra day to reset my WiFi so I could see them. On top of that, she is so polite, responsive, and easy to work with. Highly recommend her!”

About: Hi! My name is Chelsea and I have loved dogs my whole life. My family had a bichon frisé when I was growing up, and I have adopted two of my own dogs in the last few years. One was a senior rescue and the other is a 3 year old rescue. Because of this, I do have experience working with senior dogs and administering medication to dogs. I have 15 years of experience caring for both dogs and cats. I primarily conduct my pet sitting services through another pet care app (not sure if I can list the name on here since it might be a competitor of Rover!) and I have nearly 200 5-star reviews on that app. At the moment, I am between full-time jobs, so pet care has become my full-time role for the time being! I primarily conduct my pet care services through another app (I am not sure if I can list the name here since it might be a competitor of Rover!) and I have nearly 200 5-star reviews on that app. There are several dogs that I walk on a weekly basis, but I still have room in my schedule to take on additional walks and sittings! When offering boarding, I make sure to keep my dog separate from the dog(s) I am boarding. She is super friendly but I like to be safe just in case and make sure everyone has their own space!

I will always take the upmost care with every pet entrusted to me. I follow instructions precisely and always prioritize each animal's safety. About: I helped raise our family dog, a golden doodle for his 10 years so far with us. We also just brought in a stray puppy in January, so I am familiar with the puppy stage. He was probably 3 months when we got him and he’s now a year old at least. I am currently free all day everyday during the summer. However when the year starts when I will be free after school on weekdays, because I plan to substitute teach. I will still be available weekends though. I love all animals and I promise to do my best to keep your animals safe. I am organized and will follow the directions I am given to keep your animals safe.

Kendra was incredible! My original sitter had to cancel last minute and she saved the Dave. I can always tell when my cat has been well cared for because he acts like I was never gone. Seriously, excellent service and care and I will not hesitate to book her again next time.

Rosa is a wonderful cat sitter! She’s really taken the time to understand my cat, her personality, emotional cues, and boundaries. My cat generally hides from strangers but now comes running to Rosa for pets when she comes over. Rosa has also been very accommodating and will continue to be my first choice for future bookings. I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for an excellent sitter!

I have had Jeanie take care of my pets for years and she does a wonderful job! She is responsible and caring! She has great communication - sending me pictures and updates. It is such a good feeling to know that my pets are being taken good care of while I am away.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
