One of our dogs, from a rescue, is very suspicious of newcomers, but she became comfortable with Lissette quickly. While we were away, Lissette provided frequent updates, including many photos and videos. We would not hesitate to ask Lissette to take care of house and of our pups again -- the pups would probably be very happy to see her, their new friend.”

About: I have always had dogs in my life. My parents chose our first dog, a blue healer, after their honeymoon. I was three. Skeeter and I would tromp through the woods often. We moved to the Middle East when I was 9, and we had to give her to another family, but when we returned, we were contacted by the family: they were moving and wondered if we would like her back. It was a very happy reunion. She passed away when I was 18. In my third year of college, I decided to get a dog of my own. It was a dumb idea because I didn't have the forethought to think about how being a dogowner would limit my housing options over the next 10 years. Baloo was a German shepherd mix. He was a rescue from a Native American reservation in AZ, what we call a "res dog". He and I had several adventures over the decade I could call him mine. He passed away a little over two years ago, and I still miss him now. These days, I am mom to Benedict and Tigerlily. Benny is a sweet old rescue from California. He is likely part pitbull, and part sharpei. He's a sweetheart, super chill with my kids, and loves to walk the trails behind my house. Tigerlily Is a baby baby. The two of them are inseparable. I work from home and have my kids 3-5 nights / week. We love all the dogs and love to take them on walks through the woods and to the park. I provide a chill space where dogs feel like they can relax and trust that someone will come along soon to scritch their ears. I have a great neighborhood for walking and a large unfenced backyard.

About: My family had labradors from the time I was an infant. All of ours were raised as puppies, well behaved and successfully potty trained. I also had a French bulldog raised from a puppy as an adult. In recent years I have learned love cats through my wife, and we now have 4 lovely adult indoor cats who we rescued all as kittens. I work from home 9-5 Monday through Friday. I can be flexible for mid-day visits, although mornings and afternoons/evenings are more reliable. I am generally available at all times of day on weekends. I have my own transportation and I’m happy to accommodate your needs. My own pets mean the world to me, I strive to be the person they see me as. I treat all animals the same way: with kindness, respect, and love, especially for rescues who may not have had the easiest lives. I have a white collar job where I’m expected to have high professionalism and customer service standards, and I bring that ethos to my work with animals as well.

About: I’ve grown up around animals my entire life, with 2 dogs and 2 cats since I was 3 years old. Caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life, and I genuinely love getting to know each pet’s personality and needs. I’m patient, attentive, and comfortable with animals of different ages and temperaments. I’ve even dreamed of owning an animal shelter one day! I’ll treat your pets with the same care, attention, and affection I would give my own. Starting in mid-May, I’ll have a very flexible schedule and will be available for pet care throughout the week. About: I am a certified professional dog trainer with a degree in veterinary technology. I have been working with dogs for about 15 years now, including dog daycares, boarding facilities, in home dog sitting, and now a professional dog trainer. My training ranges from puppies to semi-aggressive dogs, and pretty much everything in between! About: I’ve always had several dogs in my household since I was a little girl that were all types of breeds and ages. Pets are definitely family to me. I have one dog and 2 cats. Peaches, Pepper, and Pumpernickel. I've also been a pet sitter to a few neighbors for 2 years. In summers I’ve also volunteered at SPCA as a dog walker. I'm excited to give love to as many furry friends as I can!
