“Crosby came home exhausted, which was needed as we were tired from our trip! He had plenty of outside time and play time. Really appreciated that Jessica has a fence! Will book with her again!”

“I was very comfortable with Danielle and Chad. My dogs were well cared for, I didn't have a moment of concern. It was the first time leaving Lola, they were patient with her although she was rather skittish. I highly recommend them if you need care for your dogs.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all kinds since I was 10. I have always been an animal lover and have instilled that same love in my children. I would welcome your pet into my home and treat them like I would want someone to treat my family’s dogs - with lots of love and attention! You can trust me to take great care of your pet while you are away. I live on three acres so there is lots of room for your pet to safely walk, play and sniff around! :) I am also willing to do drop in visits in your home if you prefer, while you are away. I am available for pet sitting, walking and boarding mostly on evenings and weekends. I will also have availability over Christmas break and I am off over the summer, so my availability will open up quite a bit during those months. I have two friendly dogs and two friendly cats that are used to dogs. I would take your pet out on a leash since our yard is not fenced. I would let them out several times a day and feed them on a set schedule. They can sleep in a crate or possibly in a bed if that works out.
“John did incredible with our dog, Rowan! Plenty of walks, belly rubs, and a fully fenced in yard. The total dream for Rowan! He even combed him out daily which we really appreciated. We would not hesitate to recommend John for anyone looking for a dog sitter.”

“Monica did a wonderful job taking care of our dog while we were out of town. She kept us updated as to how things were going. We could really rest easy knowing he was being well taken care of. She cares for your pet as if they were her own.”

“Rozalyn is our new primary dog-sitter. We finally found out sitter who share the same vision! Rosalyn is wonderful and caring! She took really good care of Kit, our senior chihuahua mix and included her in the family. Kit comes home happy and content!”

“Alicja is amazing! She took super good care of my dog Loki and was really flexible when I had flight changes! I know Loki had fun playing because he’s so tired! She also sent photos and videos the entire weekend! Highly recommend!!”

“Mike did such a great job with our furbaby, Kenzy. We loved getting the picture updates, and came back to a happy, exhausted pup. We will definitely use Mike again.”

“Our dog was happy and tired after a weekend with Robert! He was flexible with our drop off and pick up times and sent cute photos and videos during her stay. Thank you Robert!!”

“McKayla and Dillon are the best! They treated our four year old yellow lab Lucy as if she was their own. Lucy seemed happy and co tent to be with them. We are blessed to have found them and will be rebooking with them for our next trip. Thanks, thanks, thanks!”

“Julie and Jesse were awesome pet sitters! I received updates and pictures daily. Both of my dogs seemed to really enjoy their time. I will be a repeat client for sure!! Highly recommended!”
“Katie and her pups were just what our Scout needed. We go away for weekends and he can’t go with us so it’s comforting to know he’s in good hands. Katie provides that, and updates with cute photos and comments”

“Russell and Linda took great care of our dog while we were gone for two weeks. We got pictures of him playing by the lake, running in the backyard and cuddling with them. He seemed to really enjoy his time there. Thank you for taking great care of Rocky!”

“Sunny had a great long weekend boarding with Gina, Wally and family. We were sent photos, videos and regular updates. We could tell Sunny was comfortable and having a fun time. Would love to find another time to have Sunny stay with her new bestie Wally!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Bayport
Abbie and her family were outstanding! We had a great meet and greet before booking and never hesitated. Suki was so well taken care of and we never stressed about her while we were away. Abbie sent lots of really great pictures of Suki and provided regular updates. We will absolutely reach out again :)
I first met Charles at the Stillwater dog park where he was exercising another client’s dog, and it was clear to me from the start that he was both capable with and kind to animals. When I told him we needed someone to stay with our two dogs in our home for three nights while we were away, he agreed to come by to meet my husband. After spending time with him and reading his existing reviews on Rover, we decided that we could trust him with both our dogs and our home and booked him for the weekend. We had a fantastic weekend away and came back to two very happy dogs who had clearly gotten a lot of exercise and a house that he left tidy and clean. Charles is caring, trustworthy, and detail oriented, and a fantastic dog uncle! Thank you, Charles!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
