“We left our dog with Kaitlyn and her husband while away on vacation. We felt very comfortable leaving her with them and appreciated the daily feedback and videos. Our dog definitely took advantage of their large fenced in yard!”

“I was very comfortable with Danielle and Chad. My dogs were well cared for, I didn't have a moment of concern. It was the first time leaving Lola, they were patient with her although she was rather skittish. I highly recommend them if you need care for your dogs.”

“John did incredible with our dog, Rowan! Plenty of walks, belly rubs, and a fully fenced in yard. The total dream for Rowan! He even combed him out daily which we really appreciated. We would not hesitate to recommend John for anyone looking for a dog sitter.”

“Our dog Charlie has been with Mike for over 4 years. He is a smaller dog, but gets along with any other dogs that are there. I will never go back to a traditional border. Charlie gets more attention at Mike's house than he does sometimes at ours. I love the daily pictures and updates.”

“Alicja had our 3-month-old French bulldog for a week. He is a little monster but she had him doing very well with is potty training, and responding to "sit" and "drop it" by the end of the week. Exceeded my expectations!”

“We had Monica watch our Gus for the weekend and couldn't be happier! It was our first time using Rover and she was amazing! She sent us updates and pictures everyday. I would highly recommend Monica. She took him on lots of walks and he seemed so happy and worn out when we picked him up! I can't say enough great things about her.”

“We were very happy with our experience with Jenny. She did a great job communicating. From the beginning she was quick to respond and asked lots of questions to make sure she provided the best care for our pup. During his stay she sent detailed updates with pictures. Our dog got along great with her dog and they had a lot of fun playing together. She took good care of our dog while we were away. We would use her again.”

“Russell and Linda were very accommodating. They took care of my dogs for a long trip I had. They also have a fenced-in yard which is nice for my dogs to run. One of my dogs was having separation anxiety as it's the first time he's away from me for multiple days. He was barking a lot because of the anxiety, and they were understandable of him and consoled him. I'm really thankful for their help.”

“Katie was helpful and communicative from the start. When our plans changed she was able to accommodate those changes and work with us. The flexibility was appreciated. Would be happy to work with her again.”

“Julie and her family were great!! Super responsive, sent lots of updates/photos, and really friendly! Will absolutely be rebooking with her and her family!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all kinds since I was 10. I have always been an animal lover and have instilled that same love in my children. I would welcome your pet into my home and treat them like I would want someone to treat my family’s dogs - with lots of love and attention! You can trust me to take great care of your pet while you are away. I live on three acres so there is lots of room for your pet to safely walk, play and sniff around! :) I am also willing to do drop in visits in your home if you prefer, while you are away. I am available for pet sitting, walking and boarding mostly on evenings and weekends. I will also have availability over Christmas break and I am off over the summer, so my availability will open up quite a bit during those months. I have two friendly dogs and two friendly cats that are used to dogs. I would take your pet out on a leash since our yard is not fenced. I would let them out several times a day and feed them on a set schedule. They can sleep in a crate or possibly in a bed if that works out.
“Luke and Rachel were great, they let us come by a couple days before our booked time for us to meet them and they could meet us and Saydee. They were great at communicating with us and sending us pictures of our girl and letting us know how her day went!”

“Claire took such good care of our girl! She was super accommodating and sent photos throughout her stay. We will totally book with Claire again and can’t recommend her enough!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Bayport
Abbie was absolutely wonderful with our Golden girl. She sent regular photos and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind and made us feel like we knew how she was doing while we were away. We would definitely recommend her and would happily have her watch our dog again!

Leslie and her family were great with Luna! Leslie was very responsive and kept us updated throughout Luna’s stay with regular messages and pictures. She was also happy to help with Luna’s medication and a medical shirt she needed. We felt so comfortable knowing Luna was in such great hands. We would definitely use Leslie again!

I first met Charles at the Stillwater dog park where he was exercising another client’s dog, and it was clear to me from the start that he was both capable with and kind to animals. When I told him we needed someone to stay with our two dogs in our home for three nights while we were away, he agreed to come by to meet my husband. After spending time with him and reading his existing reviews on Rover, we decided that we could trust him with both our dogs and our home and booked him for the weekend. We had a fantastic weekend away and came back to two very happy dogs who had clearly gotten a lot of exercise and a house that he left tidy and clean. Charles is caring, trustworthy, and detail oriented, and a fantastic dog uncle! Thank you, Charles!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
