“Dropping off my pup with John & Teri felt like leaving him with family. They are incredibly kind, and geniunely care for and love your dog like their own. It helps that they speak doodle, too. The one caution is if you leave your dog there for too many days, they might end up not wanting to come back home. If you have a doodle and need a sitter, you’re doing your dog a disservice if you choose anyone else! 11/10 recommend.”

“We have used Mike quite a few times to watch Lilo. I always worry about her because she is a small dog, but she does great. Mike sends pictures daily and Lilo comes home happy as can be. I highly recommend Mike!”

“Monica did an amazing job with our dog, Simon. He can be anxious in new places and she was great for him. She gave us daily updates and pictures. Definitely would recommend!”

“Kyle did a great job caring for our pup while we were out of town and was extremely prompt with all of our correspondence; including in our request to watch our pup, which really put us at ease! I definitely recommend him! :)”

“Such a great feeling to know your dog is actually loved & cared for like her own when you leave. Feeling like he actually misses Paula, her family & his new “friends”!! Great stay!! Wonderful communication during our vacation!!”
“My dog was well cared for - even pampered by being allowed to sleep on the humans' bed. She came home happy and a little tired after a weekend with Danielle's 2 much younger, more active, but very gentle dogs. Danielle has a very large, secure yard for the dogs to play in and explore. Between the outdoor space and the young dogs to play with, Flicka got lots of good exercise.”

“Julie took great care of Molly for me while I had to go out of town for about a week. Her dog, Gilbert, and cats were good companions, she has a great fenced-in backyard, and she kept me updated with pics and commentary about Molly's stay. Will definitely be back, thanks Julie!”

“Riley had a great time. Always looked content in the many pictures sent. Took a nap when he got home lol. Thanks for taking such good care of him. Sorry he barked. He hasn't made a peep since getting home. Maybe he was just talking to your pups :-)”

“Great stay as always! Suki runs into Ali's house like she owns the place and happily greets her family like they are old friends. This always make us feel comfortable leaving her and we never have to stress about her while we are away.”
“Lisa is amazing! This was my first time using Rover and I was nervous about who I would find. Lisa and her boys are dog lovers that do Rover to get their dog fix since they travel and no longer have their own dog. She is a runner and Lola came back exhausted from the walks. I feel so lucky to have found Lisa and cannot recommend her enough!”

“Thanks to McKayla and Dillon, I could enjoy my trip without a single worry. I came home to a tail wagging pup who was calm, rested, and obviously loved.”

“Katie’s great. The whole family took excellent care of Agnes, who’s a quirky beast for a mini-golden doodle. We got several updates about Agnes on our vacation, which helped ease or anxiety. We enjoyed lots of photos about Agnes and her adventures let us know she was well cared for during our vacation. All dogs are weird and unique and Katie was accommodating and patient. She understood Agnes, her boundaries and how to help her while she missed her family. We would recommend and endorse Katie and her family as caregiver to Agnes again.”

“Claire went above and beyond while taking care of my dog! I had to book with her last minute, and I’m so glad that I did and she was available. She walked my reactive dog, hand fed him because of his anxiety, and took great care of him for the whole day. She updated me every couple hours and sent pictures. I’ll be booking again!”

“Anna is an amazing dog sitter! She’s always super flexible even when our travel plans change last minute. I highly recommend her dog sitting service for anyone looking to leave their dog for an extended period of time! My dog loves staying with her and runs into her house every time we drop her off!”

“Julie and Jesse have been amazing with my senior dog, Etta. This was Etta’s fourth stay, and each time I appreciate receiving timely updates and know that Etta is well cared for and in a loving home when I am gone. I would recommend Julie and Jesse without reservation. They are great!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Oak Park Heights
This was our 1st time having Mango with a sitter and it exceeded our expectations. Mango was so happy when we picked him up! He passed out immediately from all the fun he had. Abby was very communicative and sent tons of pics to ease my worrying mind! We definitely will book with her and her lovely family again in the future!

Brea did a great job hosting our dog, Nala. She treated her as if she were her own. She sent daily updates and photos and was quick to respond to communications. She provided lots of attention, snuggles, and exercise for my fur baby while I was away. I would definitely book with Brea again!

I first met Charles at the Stillwater dog park where he was exercising another client’s dog, and it was clear to me from the start that he was both capable with and kind to animals. When I told him we needed someone to stay with our two dogs in our home for three nights while we were away, he agreed to come by to meet my husband. After spending time with him and reading his existing reviews on Rover, we decided that we could trust him with both our dogs and our home and booked him for the weekend. We had a fantastic weekend away and came back to two very happy dogs who had clearly gotten a lot of exercise and a house that he left tidy and clean. Charles is caring, trustworthy, and detail oriented, and a fantastic dog uncle! Thank you, Charles!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
