“Dogs really enjoy themselves here! It’s an open, welcoming atmosphere where dogs can play and socialize with the other pups. I love a good environment that’s comfortable for both dogs and children, and this place fits right in. They have a big backyard for the dogs to run and burn off energy, and overall it seemed like a perfect fit for ours. They’re also very communicative and send pictures, which I really appreciate. Highly recommend! 🐾💛”

“Lan, Lucy and family were wonderful with Mochi! Lan is a kind and experienced dog caregiver. We were gone for about a week. Mochi came home happy, tired, and clean! Thank you so very much.”

“Jennifer did a great job with our pup. We enjoyed the photos updates. She doesn’t have a fenced yard but she is not anywhere near a main road and had a nice space for him to go out. She also took him for walks often. Our dog was in good spirits when we picked him up. Would highly recommend using her!”

“Mike took care of our two dogs for an extended weekend. We could not have been happier with the care our beloved pets received. Mike was very communicative and we enjoyed the pictures and updates he sent us while we were away. We would highly recommend Mike and intend to use his dog boarding services again.”

“Wonderful dog loving care. Secure back yard. Julie was in communication with my anxious elderly dog, Which eased my fears and allowed me to relax and enjoy my getaway. Thank you.”

“John and Teri were the best!! Truly, we couldn’t have imagined better. We knew immediately at the meet and greet that our dog would be comfortable and well cared for, and the pictures and video they sent showed we were exactly right. He was having a blast and feeling right at home! We love that they really enjoy his company and care about him. He will be going back in a couple weeks and we are so grateful to know we don’t need to worry about him when we are out of town. Thank you so much, John and Teri!!”

“Jenny and Mark were great with Wall-e! He came home happy and healthy. They sent pictures during the day and even sent us home with some! Would book with them again in the future.”

“Alicja had our 3-month-old French bulldog for a week. He is a little monster but she had him doing very well with is potty training, and responding to "sit" and "drop it" by the end of the week. Exceeded my expectations!”

“McKayla and Dillon did a fantastic job taking care of Talia!! They provided daily photo updates, took her on walks around the neighborhood, and made sure she was comfortable and happy throughout her visit. It was clear that Talia had a great time staying with them. We will definitely be booking with them again soon!”

“Carman was a delight and we felt very comfortable leaving our two dogs with her. She sent pictures and took them outside to play and they seemed very comfortable and at ease when we picked them up. Carman stayed up late for us to pick them up at 11pm which we also greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend Carman, and will definitely ask her to take care of our pups in the future.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Oak Park Heights
Brea did a great job hosting our dog, Nala. She treated her as if she were her own. She sent daily updates and photos and was quick to respond to communications. She provided lots of attention, snuggles, and exercise for my fur baby while I was away. I would definitely book with Brea again!

I first met Charles at the Stillwater dog park where he was exercising another client’s dog, and it was clear to me from the start that he was both capable with and kind to animals. When I told him we needed someone to stay with our two dogs in our home for three nights while we were away, he agreed to come by to meet my husband. After spending time with him and reading his existing reviews on Rover, we decided that we could trust him with both our dogs and our home and booked him for the weekend. We had a fantastic weekend away and came back to two very happy dogs who had clearly gotten a lot of exercise and a house that he left tidy and clean. Charles is caring, trustworthy, and detail oriented, and a fantastic dog uncle! Thank you, Charles!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
