“Lan did a great job caring for Martha and Susan! The picture update was appreciated, but girls looked very happy. Lan’s dog, Lucy, was adorable and friendly.”

“It was our first time booking with Monica and she was so wondeful! She kept us up to date with our dog. She was prepared and read our care plan before we dropped off our dog, which I dont find that common with other sitters. She was also very accommodating with our drop-off and pick-up time. And best part is that our Aussie was happy from all the pictures Monica sent to us. She's on our top to book for future sitter! Highly recommended!”

“Wonderful dog loving care. Secure back yard. Julie was in communication with my anxious elderly dog, Which eased my fears and allowed me to relax and enjoy my getaway. Thank you.”

“John and Teri did a fantastic job caring for our dog. They are great communicators and we know our dog was well loved while he was staying with them. We would not hesitate to book again and highly recommend to anyone considering!”

“Dogs really enjoy themselves here! It’s an open, welcoming atmosphere where dogs can play and socialize with the other pups. I love a good environment that’s comfortable for both dogs and children, and this place fits right in. They have a big backyard for the dogs to run and burn off energy, and overall it seemed like a perfect fit for ours. They’re also very communicative and send pictures, which I really appreciate. Highly recommend! 🐾💛”

“Alicja was very sweet and communicative. She helped us as soon as we needed it. We learned a lot about our dogs as they stayed with her and received pictures every day! I highly, highly recommend her!”
“Orlando and Nicki were great! They cared for Daisy like she was their own. Great communication and sent lots of photos of our pup having a wonderful time while we were away! We will use them again for sure! 100%!!!”

“I cannot emphasize enough how incredible Lisa and her sons are. I don’t even trust my neighbors with my dog but I would trust these guys any day. They had a great time and appreciated my dog in a way few do! I won’t think twice about going out of town again if Lisa will be available. I got multiple cute, sweet, funny pictures every day, and her house is spacious and clean and she let my dog have so much fun in it. Truly cannot say enough good things!”

“Julie and family were great caretakers and communicators. My dog hadn’t been away from us for a while and arrived with his quirks. Julie was patient with him and helped him feel at home. A great Rover family!”

“A friend of mine told me about Rover.com when I talked to him about our predicament with finding a dog sitting solution during our daughters wedding with an over night stay. We also had another daughter with two dogs coming into town who also needed to find care for their dogs. So, after a few minutes on rover.com, I found Mike and felt this could be a nice fit for us. Our quick feedback regarding the entire experience and Mike as a care provider for our dogs is this: Fantastic! Exceeded expectations! Highly recommended! Now the reasons we say that... Mike and his family are very peaceful and relaxed people yet thoughtful and cautious with caring for a number of dogs. In our case we brought two Labradors and two lab/mix size dogs. Mike was very easy to work with and made us feel very comfortable as first timers with Rover and his family and his home. Our pets stayed with Mike for 24 hrs. From the time we dropped our dogs off, it want long and we had a photo of the dogs just relaxing and feedback from Mike that all is well. Several more pics came through during evening and next morning. Mike helped us totally focus on our daughters special day without any worry about our dogs. When we picked them up, one of our dogs looked so content standing behind Mike as if to say; "I like my new pack, I think I'll stay here a while longer"! Lol! I would highly recommend Mike in the future and we will definitely book with Mike again when the need arises. Thanks again Mike! Jeff”

“As per, Katie & Co. made Laney one of the family & loved her up while we were gone. Frequent photos & check-ins kept us updated & comforted, knowing Laney was right at home. ;)”
“Thanks to McKayla and Dillon, I could enjoy my trip without a single worry. I came home to a tail wagging pup who was calm, rested, and obviously loved.”

“Anna was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Tony B, over a long weekend. We had never left Tony before, so we were a little nervous, but Anna made the whole experience so easy and reassuring. She sent tons of pictures and updates, communicated promptly, and was very clear about expectations and anything Tony might need. Her home is perfectly set up for overnight pet guests, and the yard is ideal. Tony got plenty of individual attention, got along great with Anna’s dogs, and clearly had a fantastic time. He was happy to see us when we picked him up, but it was obvious he had been comfortable, safe, and well cared for the whole weekend. Anna clearly has a ton of experience and asked thoughtful questions that we would not have even thought of. We could not recommend her more highly and will absolutely have Tony stay with Anna again the next time we are out of town.”

“Rachel was a great sitter for our terrier, Pepper. We got updates and photos throughout the stay, which we appreciated. You can tell Rachel loves dogs and has multiple dog beds for her furry guests. Would def book again.”

“Rozalyn was a wonderful caretaker of our dog. Her dog and our dog got a long really well. She did everything that I asked her to do. She also sent us a lot of pictures! We would highly recommend her.”

“Robert took great care of our two dogs when we left them For A full week! He sent us updates and photos daily so we had no worries and could rest easy. Our boys came home Happy and relaxed! Highly recommend! We will be using Robert again!”

Abbie and her family were outstanding! We had a great meet and greet before booking and never hesitated. Suki was so well taken care of and we never stressed about her while we were away. Abbie sent lots of really great pictures of Suki and provided regular updates. We will absolutely reach out again :)
Brea did a great job hosting our dog, Nala. She treated her as if she were her own. She sent daily updates and photos and was quick to respond to communications. She provided lots of attention, snuggles, and exercise for my fur baby while I was away. I would definitely book with Brea again!

I first met Charles at the Stillwater dog park where he was exercising another client’s dog, and it was clear to me from the start that he was both capable with and kind to animals. When I told him we needed someone to stay with our two dogs in our home for three nights while we were away, he agreed to come by to meet my husband. After spending time with him and reading his existing reviews on Rover, we decided that we could trust him with both our dogs and our home and booked him for the weekend. We had a fantastic weekend away and came back to two very happy dogs who had clearly gotten a lot of exercise and a house that he left tidy and clean. Charles is caring, trustworthy, and detail oriented, and a fantastic dog uncle! Thank you, Charles!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
