“Zema loves going to Bethany's house! They spend ample time together going for walks & playing in the yard (weather permitted) and snuggles on the couch. Zema always comes home happy and tired 🙂”

“Bill and Tristan were amazing! We left Duke there for 10 days and we could tell he was so happy once he settled in there. The house is clean and comfortable and our dog received plenty of attention. He almost didn't want to come home! HIGHLY recommend! We will definitely continue to use them”

“This is my second time using Anna on Rover. Anna was great with my dog. My dog gets along very well with her dogs. Anna sent over pictures daily along with communication. I feel comfortable with dropping my dog off to her. Mylo will be back soon.”

“Michelle was amazing with Arlo!! We got so many updates and she was very communicative. Our puppy is very energetic and she handled it like a pro. Even got him to start taking naps which we will be continuing! The whole family showed him love and we were so grateful to know he was safe and extremely cared for while we were gone. Absolutely recommend her!”

“I cannot emphasize enough how incredible Lisa and her sons are. I don’t even trust my neighbors with my dog but I would trust these guys any day. They had a great time and appreciated my dog in a way few do! I won’t think twice about going out of town again if Lisa will be available. I got multiple cute, sweet, funny pictures every day, and her house is spacious and clean and she let my dog have so much fun in it. Truly cannot say enough good things!”

“John and Teri were fantastic! They took amazing care of our quirky doodle, and we really appreciate their kindness, communication, pictures, and care! Would recommend them to any and all and will totally use them again! Thank you for giving us peace of mind while we were away! Bonus was a huge fenced in yard to let the 🐕 roam!”

“I could say a million positive things about Tracy but they all boil down to one thing: she is CONSIDERATE. Even before our stay, she asked me a number of questions about my Brooke than only an experienced, mindful, and compassionate dog lover would ask. Right off the bat, I knew she would care for my dog the way she deserved, and it only got better from there. From consistent picture and video updates to staying stocked with my pup's favorite treats, Tracy is truly 1 of 1 when it comes to dog sitters. Could not ask for anyone better!”

“Bandy and Chad have been fabulous with our dog Patty. She can be a nervous little dog when she's out of her normal environment and they've been so patient and loving to make her feel so at home. We are so relieved and thankful that we've found such reliable sitters with Brandy and Chad. Patty will definitely be going back and we know she'll look forward to it!”

“Kyle provided a comfortable stay for my dog Len's first Rover experience. Even though it was a pretty short stay it was so nice to get pictures and an update on how Len was doing. Will definitely be using Kyle again!”

“Jenna took such good care of my Max while we were away, he even got to sleep in her bed (which he loved)! He was spoiled with walks and lots of treats! We'll be looking to book Jenna again the next time we are out of town.”

“We were so happy with the care Claire took of our beagle, Lucy, while we were out of town for a week. She kept us well updated and it was clear that Lucy was being cared for and loved. Would definitely be comfortable leaving Lucy with her again in the future!”

“Anna was the most gracious and welcoming caregiver for Luna. We were on a 10 day trip abroad and her communication was stellar. Her home and backyard are comfortable and ideal for pups! We will definitely use Anna again!”

“Remy and Kevin were so thoughtful with our two dogs. We could tell our anxious dog was very comfortable and cared for. They took the time to make sure they got the attention they needed and had a great time playing in the backyard. Will definitely be using them in the future!”

“David & Nicole are awesome! Our 4-year old flat-coated retriever Kosmo stayed with them for 4 days, and it couldn't have gone better. We had a nice meet n' greet a few days in advance, and David was so thoughtful in how he introduced Kosmo to his dogs and made her feel comfortable. When we dropped her off two days later she was already excited to be there. While we were away, they sent daily updates with fun videos of her playing. And they were extremely accommodating and understanding when my return flight got delayed. David and Nicole clearly love dogs - we recommend them highly!”

“I was extremely happy with Louie’s Christmas stay with Jennifer and her family. She took the best care of him and he felt right at home. I was completely at ease my whole trip. She also communicated really well and sent photos the whole time!”

“Monica was fantastic! Daily updates with pictures. We dropped our corgi off to her for a whole week and we were worry free our whole vacation! Also let us add an extra day to our reservation at the last minute. Would highly recommend! Very friendly as well ?”

“We were first timers on Rover and Patti and Patrick were the first match that came up... and I never looked for another option. Best decision I made! Our 13-year-old AmStaff, Jackson, had surgery the Friday before his stay and by Monday night, drop-off night, we were in the doggy ER. I texted Patti from the waiting room, explained everything, and without hesitation she said bring him... we want to care for him. We showed up at 11p with a loopy, post-ER dog, a bland diet we'd just cooked up, a pile of medications, and a whole lot of apology. They took him in like he was their own. What followed was a week of daily photo updates, warm compresses on his incision, anxiety meds crushed into peanut butter, small-batch feedings, middle-of-the-night potty runs, and more love than I could have asked for. Patti was his constant and his nurse. Patrick became his cuddle buddy. They even scored him a Dairy Queen pup cup. I cried every single day from the updates they sent out of pure joy, appreciation and knowing our special Jackson was being unconditionally loved and doted on non-stop. They even checked in on him after we got home. They missed him. That's not the job... that's just who they are, and it says everything about the care and love they pour into what they do. If you have a senior dog with special needs and you're terrified to leave them — choose Patti and Patrick! We will never use anyone else.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
