About: I was fortunate enough to grow up with a mother who is a dog trainer and foster-fail enthusiast, so I’ve been gathering animal care experience my whole life. There have almost always been 10+ animals in my home at any given time, and I’ve pet sit the whole house more times than I can count. Growing up, I walked neighbors’ dogs and assisted my mom’s training classes, particularly for reactive dogs and proper handling. I taught my own dog, Jojen, tricks to perform in my school talent show in third grade. I’ve learned how to administer medication, bottle feed kittens, and confidently read an animal’s body language. I also worked in a professional setting both as an assistant dog groomer and a caretaker at PetSuites while I was in high-school. Currently, I’m a wildlife biology student at Lees-McRae College, with a focus in wildlife rehabilitation. My love of animals extends far beyond just cats and dogs, so if you have any other furry or non-furry friends, I would love to meet them too! Currently I’m in a theatre production at Lees McRae so between classes and rehearsal my weekdays are limited. Most weekends I will have full availability and after Feburary 16th my weekday evenings will open up! I love animals of all shapes and sizes. The preference and routines the pet parent has established will always take precidence in how I care for an animal, but always there will be copious amounts of love put into the work!

About: I have had and loved animals for all of my life. I own two dogs, a cat, and a few chickens. I also work as a dog groomer and sometimes at a dog boarding place. I am currently working part time three days a week so I have a lot of time to take your pets on a walk or check in on them! My animals are very spoiled and I would treat yours just like they were my very own! I have never called into a day of work in my life so just know I will always be there!

About: I'm a former US Marine, retired and I love taking dogs on walks. I've done house sitting on and off for years due to my freedom from any responsibilities like work or family. I love cats too! If you want your house and pets safe, secure and well lived while you're gone, I'm your man. I have full availability. I don't work and have no responsibilities. I'm available to walk your pets at your like and in the event of emergency, can use my vehicle to take the pet to a provider of your choice at no extra charge. I'm provide regular checkups via phone or email including pictures. I dont mind if you have active security and surveillance at your property. About: Hi I'm Amy! I've been caring for pets since I was young and started at the humane society! I'd love to care for your fur babies while you enjoy our town! I'm available short or long term so you can go on your human only excursions! I'm also a travel nurse and pet sit while I'm not on assignment! I provide walks, baths, feedings and medical care! My fur babies are on flea and tick prevention and I do require the same from my clients when boarding in my home. Animals are walked and given frequent potty breaks. I have 2 fur babies that range from 17 to 40 lbs so I can care for all shapes and sizes! But our dogs are use to big and small so all are welcome!

I'll even send you pictures of your pets during each visit for when you're missing your babies. I'm currently working towards a bachelor's of science degree, so I'll be pretty busy in the morning on weekdays (when in Banner elk, nc). My schedule usually calms down after 12pm, except Teusdays which are very busy. Please feel free to message me about what you're looking for and we can see if things will work out. I will not be able to stay at your house 24/7 due to my schedule. I will also have to go home for school breaks (winter/summer/spring). When I am at home (Newport News, VA), I will be available 24/7. Just message me and I'll let you know if my location has changed or will be changing before the date you need. But I will be doing my best to change my location on here in a timely manner. I'm a big advocate for playtime. I won't just stand around your house during the scheduled visits and let your dog be bored. We'll play with toys and run around and if you have a fenced in yard you can be sure I'll be out there throwing a tennis ball or playing tug of war with your pup until they're exhausted. I'll make sure our walks leave your dog well excersized and ready to nap for hours after we get home.

About: I have been pet sitting for roughly 10 years. It started when I was young just caring for my friends dogs and cats when they went out of town but has evolved into a small client base that I want to expand. I have cared for mostly senor dogs, providing them with medication as it was prescribed, ensuring they were safe when outside, and updating owners on any changes in behavior and physical condition. Recently I have gotten my own dog who is now three years old and that is the most experience I had with puppies but I do know quite a bit about training and am willing to care for young dogs as well. Because she is my own dog, she must be able to come with me to overnight stays, she is very friendly with dogs, cats, and even horses!. I love dogs with all my heart and grew up with them in the house. I don't have any cats in my family but I do know how important they are to their family and I love to take care of the cats I have taken care of in the past. I truly believe our pets are part of the family and deserve care and comfort when their humans are away. I am a full time student currently so I don't have the most time in the world but I am more than happy to take a break from school work to play and walk with pets and then maybe hang out together while I study before their dinnertime! I like to get a rough idea of the pets typical schedule and stick as close to that as possible, making sure everyone is fed on time, walked when walks are needed, and generally keeping them on the same schedule they are used to! I have found this to be the best option as it gives the pets a sense of normalcy in their routine while the family is away.

About: Retired from workforce, former military, active person, daily walks with our dogs—neighborhood, parks, trails. Worked with certified dog trainer for our two dogs. Time on my hands. I am retired and have plenty of time when not playing with our own two dogs and exercising. They are the center of our lives. We have a fenced in back yard for our dogs. Since I am retired, and my wife works part time, I spend most of my time with our dogs. We will not bring client’s pets to our home nor will my wife be a caretaker.

About: Ever since my family got a collie as a pet when I was a kid, I have been in love with dogs. That has only enhanced as I’ve grown older and cared for my own. I am currently working remotely from home with a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time to care for and love on your pets. Prior to walking your pets or stopping by for feedings or playtime, I would like to meet you and your pets first, if possible. That way we can make sure we all feel comfortable! It will also give us a chance to talk through instructions and expectations. I know this isn't always feasible and that's ok.

About: Animals just relax around me. I’ve worked with many pet owners who are apprehensive to leave their pets with anyone due to the pet’s nervous temperaments, and other various quirks, and every single time the animals have surprised their owners by completely settling in with me. I prioritize play, love, and connecting with each individual pet I watch however they specifically need. I’ve looked after animals of all breeds, ages, & temperaments- from anxious & fussy older pets to energetic young puppies. I have experience administering medications to sick animals, hand feeding injured puppies, walking several pets at once, and managing dogs & cats that are a bit wild. I’ve even cared for lizards, turtles, fish, plants (haha), hamsters, birds, & rabbits. Whatever their needs, I will make sure they feel safe, loved, & at home while they’re with me. I am a potter who works from my home studio, and I make my own schedule- so I can generally be flexible and accommodate your pets needs. I love having pets in my home, and breaking away from my studio to get some fresh air and puppy/kitty love too! If I’m working on a big project, it’s nice to have to flexibility to come and go from my studio when possible, or have your pet there with me- but I have worked out all kinds of house sit/drop in/boarding arrangements according to the needs of clients and their pets. About: I’ve been trusted with the animals of many friend, family, coworker pets over the last 20 years. Prepared to feed, play with and care for your pets! I currently work full time at Appalachian State university but willing to travel during the day, before and after work in order to support family pets in need! When meeting new animals it is important to lay a foundation of trust. I have had pets my entire life and know that each animal has different routines and needs. About: I have grown up taking care of many different dogs in all shapes and sizes! I used to walk my neighbors’ dogs when I was a kid, and the past couple years I have loved going to the Watauga Humane Society to take some shelter dogs on walks. I have my own dog that has very specific needs so I am also accustomed to more high maintenance pups. I love meeting new friendly dogs and have experience caring for young puppies, more senior dogs, and everything in between! I currently work part time and am available four days of the week! I can do mid-morning through evenings Sunday-Wednesday. I can do drop-in visits as well as dog walks! I have one dog and two cats at home! All my animals have free rein of the house, and one of my cats is an escape artist so I am always watchful of doors in case he decides to make a run for it. All of the animals are indoor only, with my dog going outside to play and use the bathroom regularly.

About: I have taken care of animals ever since I was young. I would get paid to walk dogs and to check on cats and fish. I love hanging out with all animals! Being in college, it makes it hard to have one of my own, but this will allow me to opportunity to be around all the animals that I love! I just graduated from Wake Forest University, where I played volleyball. Volleyball taught me a lot about discipline and also shows that I am a very reliable person when it comes to scheduling and time management. I am a current graduate student in the SLP (speech-language pathology) program at App State and am available most evenings and all weekends! At school there is plenty of grass for the dogs to run around and I am able to bring the crate and everything into my apartment if needed. Cats, I am also available to do whatever is helpful and needed! I have my own space with no other animals!

About: I grew up on a small farm in North Carolina with a veterinarian mom, so I’ve always been surrounded by animals of every age along with special needs animals. I started working as a tech assistant when I was 14 on my summer breaks and pet sat throughout the school year. I can administer medications, handle special needs animals, and animals of any age. I have a very flexible schedule, and am available all day Monday, Friday and weekends as well as late morning and afternoons on Tuesday and Wednesday. I currently do not have a fenced in backyard and have made the adjustment to getting my 3 year old pitty enough exercise with strictly leash walking! I take her on walks through the neighborhood every day, and take her on hikes as often as I can.
