About: I have both personal and professional experience taking care of animals. My experience has been primary with dogs and cats, however, I have looked out for turtles, fish and birds as well. I have a passion for learning and understanding animals. My experience also comes from volunteering with the Humane Society and a local shelter helping caring and socializing cats and dogs. I understand the stress that comes with getting good care for your beloved pet, therefore I take great pride in caring for them as if they are my own. Other hobbies include reading and watching reality TV with my pup. I currently work from home 4 out of the 5 days of the week. I can let your pup out as many times as they need. I don’t have a fenced in yard, so all potty breaks will be done on leash. I have the space to crate if needed, but will need to provide your own.
“Carolina was so nice! She was super flexible with me as I was in a rush dropping off my pup. I got plenty of updates and photos throughout the evening. I would definitely rebook with her again!”

About: Your Dog's Second Home :) With a 5-year-old Havanese of my own, I truly understand the love and attention your furry family member deserves. Your dog won't just be watched—they'll be welcomed into a home where snuggles, playtime, and a watchful eye are guaranteed. My Havanese provides a friendly, playful companion, ensuring your dog feels right at home, not just looked after. Currently I’m working from home and given that I have a 5-year-old Havanese, pet care is already deeply integrated into my daily routine. My Havanese enjoys a structured day with regular feeding times, multiple potty breaks, and dedicated playtime. This existing schedule seamlessly accommodates additional furry guests. Your dog can join me & my dog for morning walks around the neighborhood, participate in midday play sessions in the backyard, and benefit from consistent supervision throughout the day. Having my own Havanese means I'm constantly attuned to canine needs and behaviors, making it easy to spot and address any concerns, ensuring a comfortable and happy stay for your beloved pet.
“Magnolia was wiped out in the back seat before we got 10 minutes down the road! Exactly what she needs while mom and dad are at work. Brianna also sent pics and videos throughout the day, which was nice.”

“Erin is great! My dog has separation anxiety so I was nervous about leaving him for the full day, but he did wonderful with Erin. She texted me throghout the day to let me know he was doing well. He also had other dogs to play with, which is great to get his energy out and keep him socialized. My dog had a great time and slept great that night! :) I will definintely be booking more days with Erin.”

“Krishna was fantastic with Bailey. Bailey was immediately comfortable with her, which usually doesn't happen. Krishna sent lots of pictures and updates. Bailey even ate snacks during the visit, which is a first. I will definitely be sending Bailey again.”

About: Hi pet parents, I would be happy to care for your dog while you are away. Since I moved to an apartment, it's been a while since being on Rover. For many years, I enjoyed having different dogs and their many personalities in my home. My home became there "home away from home" for my regulars. Pet parents became very comfortable, and trusted me, knowing I was a second mom to their babies. I am a mom to a very sweet springer spaniel. Her name is DeeDee. She is nine years old, shy and very mild mannered. The two of us are settled here, no one else in our place, and would enjoy having a dog companion occasionally. As DeeDee would tell you, I give lots of lovies, hugs and kisses. With all of my attention, your pup would feel safe and secure. Hesitant parents of senior or special needs' dogs can feel comfortable knowing I am experienced with their extra care needs. My knowledge and experience come from living and caring for dogs all of my life, as well as being a long time member of the English Springer Spaniel Club of Michigan. My springer friends are a wealth of knowledge from their decades of experience raising pups. I have learned obedience, socialization, grooming, show conformation, and health care, as well as true-to-life tips from these pros. I am home most of the time, and will limit my time away if I have your dog. I always prefer a meet and greet before your scheduled visit. At that time I will get to know your dog, ask you about their likes and needs, and determine if they are a good fit. I would be happy to give you references. The care and safety of your 'baby', is my priority. Thank you for your consideration. Margaret First thing in the morning is a walk, usually a couple blocks. Then breakfast. Then, usually, is a nap. Short breaks outside a time or two during the day. Walk again between 5-6. Dinner. Out again before bed, 11-1. This is DeeDee's schedule. Changes to accommodate your dog are easily added. Watch them carefully for signs of anxiety. Talk and touch them to assure them they are ok, and I am their friend. Make them comfortable with something that reminds them of home. Sit, talk, hold and pet to give them comfort and the feeling of safety. My apartment is small so I don't lose track of a curious visitor. Though I live in Pontiac, I'm in a safe complex on the very northeast tip. Auburn Hills is on the other side of Walton. That saying, I am very conscious of what is going on around us.
“Our puppy Echo was so well taken care of by Eileen. We appreciated her great communication, willingness to help on short notice, and photos of Echo throughout the day. We would love to have echo stay with Eileen in the future!”

“I’m so happy I found Andrea and Tyler! They’re both so kind and welcoming, and it’s clear they really love dogs. They took the time to carefully introduce my 100-pound lab, Amos, to their two sweet, easygoing pups, which put me at ease since he hasn’t had a lot of experience around other dogs. I really appreciated how tuned in they were to his needs - making sure he got breaks and some solo time with them when he needed it. That kind of care means so much. I’m looking forward to having Amos spend time with them in the future - they’ve already been such a supportive part of his socialization journey!”

About: Pets are like family I will make sure to give your pet as much love as I would my own. I've always had animals and have much experience I will care for your fur baby as my own. I will make sure whatever they need I can accommodate. I will always provide a safe environment. I do currently work outside of the home but can always change my schedule last minute. I can be available same day for visits as well. In my home I always insure they feel comfortable. I allow them to lay on furniture. I always insure the animals are comfortable with one another if I have to families pets together at one time.
“2 very caring, professional people! My dog came home well loved and happy after romping in their beautiful, spacious yard. When I returned he was eager to greet them & happy to get back to their care! I will return to them many times!”

“Thank you Kelly & Ben C. for dogsitting Fluffy at the last minute. You guys are AWESOME! Sent a pic right away & that made myself & daughter very happy. Looking forward to Fluffys next visit ?”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Auburn Hills
My dog being with Carolina for a daycare was so much relief to me because she was sending me pictures often also text messages. My dog(border-collie) has more energy than other breeds but she has handled it by playing with toys almost all day. I’m so glad that I’ve found a good hand for my dog while I’m working. 10/10!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Auburn Hills commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
