About: Caring for dogs has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, and other pets, so understanding their personalities and needs comes naturally. I've walked and cared for rescue dogs with a wide range of temperaments and energy levels at the dog shelter I've volunteered in. I've also dog sat for friends and family over the years, and have even helped care for Rover clients' dogs on behalf of friends who were sitters. These experiences have taught me how important it is to provide not just basic care, but patience, consistency, and lots of affection. I treat every dog as if they were my own, whether they love long walks, energetic playtime, or simply relaxing with good company. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving owners complete peace of mind through reliable care and regular updates. I'm employed full-time, but I have a flexible hybrid work schedule and can work from home when needed to provide attentive care for your pup. Pet care is a priority in my daily routine, and I intend to make time for walks, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention. An added bonus is that my wife, who's an even bigger dog lover than I am and has owned dogs throughout her life, is home during the day. That means your pup will have extra companionship, supervision, and lots of affection while staying with us. On weekends, we're both home and can dedicate our full attention to keeping your dog active, happy, and comfortable. The best care comes from keeping pets comfortable by following the routine they're already familiar with. I'll stick to your feeding schedule, walking routine, potty breaks, playtime, bedtime, and any special instructions you provide. If your dog has medications, dietary restrictions, or favorite toys and activities, I'll make sure those needs are met. I enjoy playing with dogs, going on walks, and making sure they get both physical activity and time to relax. I also know how reassuring updates can be, so I'll send regular photos and messages so you can see how your pet is doing while you're away.

“Iris & Tomas helped watch our dog while we attended a pet first aid/CPR class nearby. This was our first time having anyone watch her, so we were a little nervous. They were able to squeeze us in last minute and do a meet and greet. They sent us many photos and played with her and kept her occupied until we could pick her up. About: Erica and I have always loved & had dogs in our homes ever since we were kids. They were family, & we look forward to treating yours like family too. We have a very flexible with my schedule. We enjoy playing nerf dog, frisbie and fetch with the dogs during the day, and spending restful quiet time with them during the evenings. We have a nice sized fenced in backyard for them to play in, as well as a nice indoor sunroom that I have turned into a doggy indoor play area.

About: I've owned four dogs in the past 42 years and also cared for neighbors' and relatives' dogs. I miss our last dog so much, but are not ready to em"bark" on a new puppy journey just yet. I am retired and in great physical shape. You can rest assured your dog will be loved and given lots of attention! I normally go to the gym in the mornings, but it's an open schedule so can be home all day every weekday. If your pet is comfortable alone (if I must go out), there is a crate, blankets, a dog bed, toys etc. The home is two stories and a basement, but there are gates to block stairs if necessary. I live on a court in a quiet neighborhood. Although we do not have fences, your doggie would not be outside without a leash and would be accompanied by me on potty breaks.

About: I have over 6 years of experience working in kennels caring for both dogs and cats of all ages. Along with several family friends and people in my community that I have sat for many many times. I have special training in providing medications in any form (Pills, ear/eye drops, topical medications, insulin injections, etc) and training/experience working with dogs of all temperaments (anxious, aggressive, energetic, reactive, etc.) I have a true passion and love for working with cat and dogs but am at not a point in my life where I can get on of my own, so I would love nothing more to spend some time with your fur baby! I am currently finishing up at school at Michigan State University but am commuting from my hometown for this semester. Fortunately I only have to be up in East Lansing for a couple of hours 2 days a week, and I am investing the rest of my time into my online classes. This has left my schedule pretty open for the upcoming months and I will be spending majority of my time with your pet during their stay! For those interested in boarding, I do live with my parents and a sibling, but they all love to have furry visitors and your pet is guaranteed to get an abundance of attention! When I care for someone else's pet I truly treat them as my own. I have great relationship with all of the clients I currently sit for and their pets. My main goal when sitting is to make sure that both the owner and the pet are entirely comfortable while they are in my care.
