“We recently moved to Omaha and have had some trouble finding a new walker for our pup. Jack was able to step in and take our pup on a last minute walk this week and overall it was a great experience. He was very communicative and professional and sent great pictures and updates. Our dog is sometimes standoffish with new people, but Jack was great with him. We have already rebooked and will be using Jack and Kate’s services regularly from now on. Highly recommend!”

“Ellie has been helping us out by walking our dog, Wally, a few days a week. She is reliable and sends me a picture of Wally on his walks every time! Wally is a high energy dog and he is visibly calmer on days he gets to walk with Ellie! We can tell that he loves his walks with her and can tell that she treats him with love and kindness! He now knows her name and gets excited every morning when I tell him that Ellie is coming to see him later! We’re grateful to have a trustworthy person to spend time with him when we’re busy working. We will continue to hire Ellie as often as we can! Thank you Ellie!”

About: I've grown up surrounded by animals and have never known a home without a dog or a cat. As a child in Ohio, we even had rabbits and a pet squirrel! My lifelong love of animals has always been a constant, even as I pursued a career as a professional ballerina and later, a dance teacher. Now retired from dance, I remain active and physically fit- and still deeply connected to animals. After moving to Omaha and starting a family, my husband and I introduced our two amazing children to the joy of pet companionship. Over the years, we've welcomed two wonderful dogs- a Wheaton Terrier and a Miniature Schnauzer- and currently have three beloved cats. I've also had the pleasure of helping our neighbors care for their dogs, including house sitting for a Portuguese Water Dog on multiple occasions. I truly enjoy getting to know each animal's unique personality and forming a connection to them. My daughter owns a lively Blue Heeler, and I love playing fetch with him in her back yard and taking him on walks. I firmly believe that life if better with animals. They bring joy, comfort, and a special kind of companionship that's hard to match. I would be honored to nurture and care for your pet as if they were my own. My schedule is currently open to care for your pet. My two kids are grown and living on their own so I would love to nurture and care for any fur babies! I am able and willing to house sit or make daily visits. I have a fenced back yard where dogs can play and roam freely. We also have a guest bedroom available to house our own cats if needed, along with plenty of space for an extra litter box or a place for a kennel. Our neighborhood is perfect for dog walking with several parks nearby. I clean the litter box daily and always provide fresh water. If your dog gets muddy, I'm more than happy to give them a bath it or clean up any messes. I also have experience grooming dogs and have groomed our own for years. I am trustworthy, honest and committed to caring for your pet, and your property as if they were my own. I want you to feel completely safe and secure when your pet is in my care. I value and respect people's pets, homes and privacy, and I promise to treat your animal with love and kindness.

About: I stay present with your pets to show them the attention and care they deserve. I am always ready to help out whenever you need someone! I do walks, drop ins, medications, whatever is needed for your pets to thrive and feel loved. I work a flexible schedule so I’m very often available to stop in and help out whenever you need. I can do anytime and overnights sometimes. I am passionate about animal support and care, and believe all animals should be treated with compassion and respect. My 2 year old cat Edgar agrees.

About: My style is playful, caring, and conscientious :) In addition to growing up with two silly sweet pugs and two cozy cuddly cats, I've spent the last two years as a nanny and pet sitter for a family with two fantastic dogs. They are part of the family and have become part of mine! I'm looking to find some more fur babies to give some love to which would also help me save up for grad school. Hoping to snuggle and care for some sweet kitties this summer and/or provide play breaks and walks for your pups! My schedule is widely flexible and I am eager to make myself available to your pets' needs and home! Your comfort is my highest priority. I cannot care for animals in my home, but I will treat yours with the utmost respect and care if I were to stay with your furry friends there. I think you'll find I am an incredibly dependable, neat, respectful, and caring individual. If you'd like to shoot a text or make a call to people I've worked for in the past, I'd be happy to provide phone numbers and references!

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.
Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Ascot. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Ascot.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ascot. On Rover:
- 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
