“Jill and her family were awesome. She sent me pictures of Bailee everyday. They let her on the furniture and she got to sleep with the girls. I will definitely use Jill again”

“We had the most pleasant experience! This was our first time ever using Rover, and they made it such a positive one. They kept us updated throughout the day with pictures and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was obvious that our dogs were receiving lots of love and attention! We honestly felt like they were being spoiled the entire time! They truly went above and beyond for our pups and treated them as if they were their own. Their care, communication, and kindness made all the difference, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend them and would absolutely trust them with our dogs again. ❤️🐾”

“Roger was phenomenal! Would absolutely recommend him to watch your little one Was my first time using Rover and he made it an Excellent experience. Will certainly be booking again”

“Alexis did an amazing job watching my doggo for me over the weekend while I was out of town! She sent multiple updates daily which included pictures of my dog having a great time:) I never had any doubts as to his safety and wellbeing. If you need your dog boarded I cannot recommend Alexis enough!”

“Kristen and her boys were awesome, we started with shorter notice but she was flexible and super accommodating. Charli loved her time and she made new friends with Conner and others which is always a win. We will definitely book with her again.❤️”

“Our pups spent the weekend with this great family. They are apparently exhausted from all the play time, they came home and went straight to sleep. Thanks for taking such good care of them.”

“Highly recommended, my big boy (English mastiff) had a good time, they sent me pictures and videos and also they gave him his medication Of course he will comeback”

“Amanda did an amazing job carrying for our boy! He came home so tired from all the playing and she kept me well updated even said her kids didn’t want him to come home. Will definitely use again maybe even just for a day for him to visit and let some energy out!”

“Savannah is incredible! Our dog, Skye, stayed with her for 14 days, which was her first time staying with someone outside of our immediate family. Skye can be a bit anxious and gets very skittish around fireworks. Savannah took amazing care of her by providing care and support during the 4th of July fireworks celebrations, which meant so much to us and showed how much she truly cares. She gave Skye a structured routine and provided daily walks that Skye absolutely loved. Savannah also let us bring Skye's kennel, playpen, and large mat to her home so she could have a true "home away from home" setup. Her communication was wonderful—she sent us reassuring updates and pictures almost daily. When my daughters picked up Skye, you could see that she was a happy dog and was well taken care of by Savannah. We would absolutely choose Savannah to babysit Skye again in the future!”

“She was amazing! My dogs absolutely loved her. She sent me pictures and updates daily. She gave me a full run down when I went to pick them up. My heart was happy and I was at ease being so far away from them. I also had to change my days numerous times and add on another day last minute because of travel plans changing. And she was so great and flexible with all of it. Will definitely use her again in the future!”

“This was my first experience on Rover and Kathy made it a great one! I didn’t feel stressed at all about my dog being in her care. She sent photos and updates and was a great communicator. I highly recommend and will definitely request her again in the future! Thank you again! Finn loved his stay.”

About: We had our first family dog 10 years ago, and we had 5 more after that. When I moved out, I got my own wienee in 2025. I want my baby to socialize more with other doggies so I thought pet-sitting might help with that. He's such an energetic but shy puppy so it would be nice to see him play with dogs of his size. I mostly work day shift. I get home around 2PM so I am free after. That's also when I would usually take out my own dog, so if I pet-sit, I can take them together so they can run and play in the grass. I currently live with my boyfriend but he will be out at work on the times I'm available and I will take full responsibility on the dogs that I pet-sit. Food, play, and cuddles... LOTS OF CUDDLES. I am not trained to perform medication administration or CPR but I will do whatever it takes to save them when something unfortunate happens. I will treat all dogs I pet-sit as my own... I will love them with all my heart <3
“Our girl had such a good time with Aubrey! She sent us photos every day of our trip and helped us to feel at ease, knowing she was being loved on and well cared for while we were away!”

“Gabby and her family did an excellent job caring for and looking after Cooper for a night and day. They provided ample stimulation through backyard activities with other dogs and children. She sent nice videos/photos of Cooper letting me know he was doing okay and was timely in her communications. I would definitely go back again.”

“Emily was fantastic, and both of my dogs had a good time at her place. She was very flexible and responsive in coordinating the visit, and sent me pictures of the dogs every day while we were gone. If you are in need of a pet sitter, she is great!”

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
96% of sitters in Ascot can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Ascot home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Ascot.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
