“We would like to thank Donna for taking such great care of our boy Mikey. It's wonderful to get pictures of him snuggled up and so content, just like at home. How lucky we were when we found Rover.com and Donna!!”

“Alexis did an amazing job watching my doggo for me over the weekend while I was out of town! She sent multiple updates daily which included pictures of my dog having a great time:) I never had any doubts as to his safety and wellbeing. If you need your dog boarded I cannot recommend Alexis enough!”

“We had a wonderful experience as always with Doyle and Mike! They took amazing care of our dog, Oakley, and showed genuine affection the entire time. Communication was excellent - updates were consistent and reassuring. It was clear Oakley was in good hands. Highly recommend!”

“My dog was so excited to see Roger again when we pulled up for another week of boarding and our new dog felt right at ease. With Roger I don’t have to worry about my dogs while we’re on vacation. They had a great time playing with other dogs that came for day care. Roger does such a good job introducing dogs to each other and I love that they have a place to meet new dogs without any of the risks that come with a dog park or big chain day care. I’ll be booking some play dates for my puppies this fall.”

“We had a wonderful experience with our dog sitter! She was attentive, caring, and sent regular updates and pictures, giving us peace of mind while we were away. Our pup felt right at home with her, and we couldn’t be happier with the care provided. Highly recommend if you’re looking for someone reliable and compassionate - just please don’t book her on dates that we need her 😂”

“We had the most pleasant experience! This was our first time ever using Rover, and they made it such a positive one. They kept us updated throughout the day with pictures and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was obvious that our dogs were receiving lots of love and attention! We honestly felt like they were being spoiled the entire time! They truly went above and beyond for our pups and treated them as if they were their own. Their care, communication, and kindness made all the difference, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend them and would absolutely trust them with our dogs again. ❤️🐾”

“Jill and her family took good care of Stella while we were gone for 2 weeks. This is the 2nd time Stella has stayed with Jill and her family. She was so excited to stay and play with the family. Jill sent pictures and told us how Stella was doing. We will use Jill and her loving family again.”
“Melody was great with Bucky! She was very flexor with our schedule and helped watch my dog while traveling for the holidays. Extremely friendly. Would let he watch Bucky anytime.”

“I highly recommend Amber! Amber and her husband Alex took excellent care of our 2 dogs! They both gave them a lot of attention and love. Amber texted me daily with photos and fun details that put a smile on my face allowing me to relax while on vacation. They only take care of one family at a time so that is nice! Our dogs were very comfortable there. Amber has a nice backyard too.”

“Amy was amazing! She took time to play and care for our dog during their stay. She kept me informed and sent some really amazing video and pictures. She is truly gifted with animals!”

About: I am a new dog owner, but I used to nanny for a family with a new puppy and became very familiar with animal care. I have always owned pets (cats) and always loved/wanted a dog and I am interested in helping others give their dogs the best life possible! I am working full time currently but leaving my job as I am moving out of the country in the last week of September for a working abroad opportunity and was wanting to do this until then. If the timeline and schedule works out for you I think it’d be a perfect fit. If I am not working I will be engaged at home with my dog and the others to make sure they have a great day I wake up and take my dog out for a 30 minute walk in the morning. Then we come home and it’s time for breakfast and meds (if needed). I brush my dog after the afternoon walk and give plenty of treats and reward positive behavior

About: My mom started fostering dogs when I was 2 years old, so I've been taking care of dogs my whole life! I would love to help you take care of your dog(s)! I also have experience using various no-pull harnesses and gentle leader head collars for larger dogs. I have no qualms about taking care of "controversial" breeds such as Rottweilers, Dobermans, or Pit Bulls. I'm available for morning, evening, and weekend check-ins. I'm perfectly comfortable and experienced at administering oral medications and/or taking care of senior dogs and cats. I have a fenced-in yard for frequent potty breaks and play time. Adult pets must be spayed/neutered to stay at my home. I try to keep my Rover calendar up to date so you can see when I'm available! Please reach out for any specific dates needed! Boarding: I treat your dogs like my own! They get to play outside and sleep on the furniture with my dog! I'll feed them per your schedule! Sitting: I'll try to keep the routine as normal as possible for your pets! I'll send pictures throughout the service!
“My dogs loved it at Elizabeth's! Every photo she sent they were either happily playing or totally relaxed(and the puppy can be a crazy demon at times). The older one has a bit of anxiety at times but she was at ease with Elizabeth. She was also responsive and accommodating. I would board with her again for sure!”

“Ricky was wonderful and made us feel at ease leaving our dog as a first time Rover user and exceeded our expectations! He kept us updated every day with pictures and treated our dog like his own and spoiled him! We will definitely be using him again 😊”

“Ashlee was phenomenal as a pet sitter for Nash! 10/10 experience for me and my dog. She is so kind, engaging, thoughtful, and kept Nash active and loved. Will definitely work with Ashlee again! Nash loves her!”

“Robert was quick to reply and willing to be very accommodating! We did have a meet and greet though and it went well! My plans changed last minute so ultimately we didn’t need a sitter, but when i need one in the future—i would not hesitate to use Robert. He is kind and it is very clear that he is an animal lover.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Carter Lake
Absolutely outstanding service above and beyond. Was traveling and needed last minute puppy sitter. She graciously agreed to help me out on extremely short notice. She has the sweetest little doggies of her own which kept my puppy company 💕 even though he had to stay in kennel (my requirement) he could still see and interact with them. Can not express enough how accommodating she was. Wonderful Doggy Mom. My puppy loved her immediately. Highly recommend and will Absolutely be using her again if ever needed. Awesome experience 10 stars !!!!!!!

Highly recommend! Ashley was great about being responsive and sending updates of how my pup was doing! I am positive my dog had a great time because she has been so tired and sleeping all day! I also had to pick her up a couple hours later than planned due to a flight delay, and Ashley was so flexible with us!

My dog looked so happy and well cared for when I picked her up! It’s clear she had a great time and felt comfortable. I really appreciate the love and attention she was given. I could tell she was in good hands the whole time. Definitely recommend and would book again!

Many sitters in IA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
