“So glad I found Brooks! He has experience with Boxers and knows what they can be like as young adolescents. Emma adored him, and he became her best friend immediately. Brooks was prompt and on time and the communication was outstanding!”

About: Before I could speak my first standard language, I would speak with animals. This led me to care for neighbors', friends', family's, fosters and stray animals beginning in elementary school. Every shape, size, breed. I find peace & ability to converse with all, threading genuine connection with any and all animals. I currently make my own schedule, and always seek to spend time with a friend or family's animals. A key thing to note is that my fiancé & I share a vehicle, so we are a package deal. She is also an (inactive) Rover provider and can share her info upon request. I am very physically active and enjoy a pup to run / hike with as well. I travel throughout the metro area for business and meetings as well, so I am willing to go anywhere to be a blessing. Transparency and communication is key, always reaching out to the client to ensure I am following proper procedures. I provide the service of package / mail collection, taking the trash out on trash day, pup-poo yard clean up, and as a skilled trade handyman - can provide assistance / service upon discussion. I strive to leave your home as clean or better than when I arrived.
“Breanna proved to be flexible with my instructions and is a genuine pup lover. My dog was super happy upon her arrival and even more happy after they went for a walk! Breanna even refilled the water bowl knowing I wouldn’t be home for a few more hours. Thanks for taking care of the Miabear Breanna!”

“Roger was terrific to work with. My pup immediately warmed to him. He is personable, explained to e process very well, and made sure we felt comfortable. I will definitely book again.”

“Erica took such good care of Barney that I think he hardly knew I had left for two days! I will absolutely book Erika again in the future, and I highly recommend that you do the same. This was the first time I’ve left Barney alone in the house for more than a few hours. I was pretty nervous about him freaking out with nobody home. I didn’t need to be. :)”

“I’ve hired Victoria a handful of time over the last couple months for dog walking, and she’s been great! She’s extremely flexible to my changing, military schedule, and always gives Nala extra love. She is very communicative and I look forward to the photos she sends me! Will continue to book with Victoria!”

About: I grew up with a dog, who became my biggest inspiration for working with animals for a living. Currently, I have 3 cats and work as a kennel attendant in my college town. I have worked with many disabled animals, helping them go outside or get comfortable. I have also worked with very young animals who need a little extra patience sometimes. I always pay attention to the animal's individual needs and do my absolute best to accommodate for them. In the past I interned with a groomer who taught me many behavioral signs of dogs and tricks to make them more comfortable if need be. I have also done a lot of research of my own for the behaviors of cats in order to understand my own. I'm currently home for the summer from college and am needing a job that's flexible, but also something that I still love. Since I'm home I will have all the time for all the pets' needs. When I care for an animal I start by giving them lovings, if they are willing to be pet. I will then pick up after them, walk them or scoop their litter, feed them, and of course before I can leave, play with them. Most of all before I do anything else, I double and triple check to see their instructions. Especially if they have any special instructions, I will switch my routine accordingly.
“It was a hot ? first week, but our dog had a fun time with Nichole! He definitely enjoyed the company and being out of his crate for a while. We are looking forward to continuing daily walks! ?”

About: I have been taking care of pets ever since I could remember. I would go help my parents when we they would watch family and friends pets. And I had all kind of animals growing up and I gave them all the love in the world. I am always the first person to volunteer when someone needs a pet sitter. I am so excited to be there for your pet and I will treat them just as my own! :) I am a school teacher so I am free Monday-Friday most of the day during the summer! During the school year I will be available after 4:30. At home at other people’s home I make sure all pets needs are meet. I make sure they are safe, happy, and comfortable. I make sure everything is clean and they are well fed. With my two cats I give them so much love and attention and I clean their litter box daily!
About: I have been taking care of dogs, cats, guinea pigs and lizards for friends, neighbors and family since I was 9. I was also the student therapy dog handler at Creighton University for Cocoa! I love animals and I am excited to be able to take care of them especially since I’m missing my own dog! I helped train my dog who is a German Puddle Pointer from a young age to help him with hunting in the field. I am currently working for Creighton university as an independent researcher on a research grant! I am in the field of cognitive psychology and hoping to become a therapist one day! One of the things that this has included for me is being a therapy dog handler on campus, so I love working with animals. I will have meetings for my summer research grant every Tuesday and some meetings in between that are still TBD. I live in Minnesota and I am here as a student so I may go home a weekend or two this summer! I have always taken care of my own dog at home and many family and neighbor dogs as well. I will be diligent with instructions and the personal background of each pet to give them individualized care. I have been a babysitter, I have worked at a children’s behavioral clinic as well as a childcare center so I am well versed in safety care and I have a background in training for taking care of the ones that mean most to us. Training certifications like that for CPR as well as daycare will translate in the way that I am always prepared and I am able to always stay alert when providing care to furry friends!
About: I have experience in the animal field and previously was an animal control officer and have pets of my own. I have 2 dogs 2 cats and 3 snakes. I have experience in some vet tech care such as restraint, pill giving and things like that. I would LOVE to do a drop in visit or stay at your home with your pet. I am flexible with the services I offer. I care for your pets in your home the way you would. With love, care and all the snuggles. For drop in visits I would take them on a longer walk and hangout with them.
“Jack continues to provide excellent service walking our dog Benson. It was bitter cold a couple mornings. We have him scheduled for early in the morning and he was always on time. He took Benson for the whole scheduled walk not cutting it short even on the really cold mornings. Thank you Jack!!!”

About: I have dog sat for many dogs and cats, including older dogs with medicine/other needs. I’m experienced with watching puppies, small dogs, and medium dogs. My summers are half days for my main job, so I’ll have lots of time in the early mornings, afternoons, and evenings!! Very flexible schedule, and I love to be outside and go on walks!!! I would love to go feed your dog or cat, and take them on walks around your area if wanted!! Will have lots of time to head over and check on them
“Rose was available to book last-minute and I’m so happy I did. The night before she was to walk and feed my dogs, she FaceTimed to discuss their needs and get to know the process and their feeding instructions. She cared for my dogs like they were her own and I’m so thankful for that. I’d recommend Rose to anyone I know looking for pet care while out of town!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets for 10+ years, from cats to giant dogs. I have two dogs of my own, and have had cats in the past, so I understand the individual needs of each animal. Senior dogs have a special place in my heart. I’m currently working part time, 3 days a week! My schedule changes week to week, but I am open and flexible to changing my schedule! I can easily crate or move your dogs if I need to! I am eager to earn their trust and am willing to bribe them with treats. I understand each pet has different needs and I am adaptable to them!
About: I’m a reliable and attentive dog lover based in Omaha, offering a safe, loving environment for your pets while you’re away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your fur baby, and I treat every dog like they’re my own. I have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and I’m comfortable with feeding routines, walks, playtime, and administering basic care. Whether your dog needs lots of activity or just a calm, cozy space, I adjust to their needs. I’m also very responsive and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you always feel at ease while you’re away. ✨ Flexible schedule ✨ Clean, safe environment ✨ Fast communication ✨ Lots of love and attention I’d love to meet you and your pup! I currently work from home remotely Monday through Friday with a lot of flexibility! I have my weekends open completely so maintaining my schedule will be easy to do! I currently take extra precautions with my dog (Kumo) now! Since he is an XL dog, he is always securely harnessed, and I own a muzzle (not that he needs it!) but it’s important to keep others feeling secure around such a large animal. I take him to the dog park as much as possible, when it’s not too cold! He has surgery on his leg when we first rescued him and I care for his long term disability by maintaining a healthy lifestyle for him!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Carter Lake
I was fortunate enough to meet my sisters dog walker, Brooks, on my trip to Bellevue last week. I got to see Don’s(175 pound Newfoundland) reaction to Brooks!! Did my heart good to see Don so filled with joy❤️My sister is just thrilled every time Brooks comes to the house to walk Don. Brooks has done wonderfully in building Dons endurance to over a mile. Brooks demonstrated the skills he uses with Don to prevent pulling. I walked Don for the next 2 days and could not believe the improvement and ease from when walking him before Brooks entered the scene!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
