About: Hi, I’m Sheila, a lifelong animal lover with a calm, nurturing presence and years of hands-on experience across species, ages, temperaments, and needs. I grew up on a small poultry farm surrounded by dogs, cats, and feathered friends, and I’ve continued that care into adulthood. I’ve raised and loved a variety of animals, including dogs, and cats of my own and through pet sitting for friends and with TrustedHousesitters, I’ve also supported families with senior pets, rescue animals, and those with medical or behavioral needs. During the meet and greet, I may ask to interact with your dog briefly without you present to ensure they’re comfortable with me. If a dog is unable to be safely handled during the stay, the booking may need to be adjusted or ended early. If your dog has aggressive or very anxious behavior with new sitters or their space, I suggest you book a few dog walks to establish trust.

About: Ever since I was little I can remember always taking care of others - people, dogs, cats and many other little creatures along the way. Now as the new season approaches and spring welcomes us, I am now looking for new work and would love to care and connect with all the fur babies in our community here in Downtown Vancouver! About: Hello! My name is Madelyn and I’ve been fostering animals with the humane society for the last 5 years. I have experience working with ringworm kittens, senior animals, administering medicine, stray cats/dogs, and post-surgery care. Fostering and boarding/pet-sitting has been really rewarding for me because I can spend time with animals and support their owners, but I can’t commit to my own pet at this time. I’ve also grown up with labradors and bulldogs so they have a special place in my heart. I work full time at home as an emergency preparedness and response coordinator, so I am home during the week each day. Outside of work I spend a lot of time at home and I live alone so the extra companionship is comforting for me. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment downtown near Esther Short Park & the Waterfront. I keep my home very clean and quiet, so it is a great vacation spot for cats and dogs alike. I also have treats and toys and a lot of love.

But there’s a park less than 3 minutes away for walks. There are stairs to my place as I live on the second floor

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life. As a stay at home mom, I have plenty of time to watch your loved ones while you’re away. We have an active but relaxed home. We currently have one extremely friendly, well socialized shepherd mix dog who gets along with every dog he meets. Over the years I’ve cared for friends’ and family’s dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. My kids love dogs and are able to let new dog friends acclimate without pestering. We walk the neighborhood every night and play in the backyard. I am a stay at home mom with elementary aged kids. Especially during the school year, I am almost always at home. My husband also works full time from home so there is always someone here to keep an eye on things. We have a great schedule in place for our dog in terms of potty breaks and feeding. We have a fully fenced back yard and a lovely neighborhood full of sidewalks to go on long evening walks. In our home, dogs are part of the family. They are allowed on the couch and sleep in our bedroom. Our dog has a nice schedule for feeding and going potty and he loves sunbathing on the back patio.
