Claire has been a night in shining armor, our dogs were not getting out due to our busy schedule. She has been very patient with our puppy and has gone above and beyond by helping train our dogs to wait, heel, and sit. They come home happy and exhausted after each walk. Claire is a joyful personality, responsible, honest and dependable. Highly recommend.

About: I have taken care of cats since I was young and for the past two years, I’ve taken care of my own puppy. I love all animals, providing for their needs, and giving them the love and attention they deserve. When I take care of them, I provide lots of photos and details of what went on during the visit to keep you updated. Your pets are safe with me! My schedule is currently very open, so I have plenty of room in my schedule to care for your fur baby and provide for their needs. If needed, I can crate your dog or keep them in a pen, whichever situation you have. I’m meticulous about making sure that there is nothing around that could harm your pet and I keep a vigilant eye.

YAY! So grateful I found Elaine. I twisted my ankle and she was there helping me every day for 7 days so that I could rest. Her energy, kindness, flexibility, communication, and love of animals is so evident. I would let Elaine take care of all of my animals at any moment. I will absolutely have her walk Ginger again. And also boarding!

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life. As a stay at home mom, I have plenty of time to watch your loved ones while you’re away. We have an active but relaxed home. We currently have one extremely friendly, well socialized shepherd mix dog who gets along with every dog he meets. Over the years I’ve cared for friends’ and family’s dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. My kids love dogs and are able to let new dog friends acclimate without pestering. We walk the neighborhood every night and play in the backyard. I am a stay at home mom with elementary aged kids. Especially during the school year, I am almost always at home. My husband also works full time from home so there is always someone here to keep an eye on things. We have a great schedule in place for our dog in terms of potty breaks and feeding. We have a fully fenced back yard and a lovely neighborhood full of sidewalks to go on long evening walks. In our home, dogs are part of the family. They are allowed on the couch and sleep in our bedroom. Our dog has a nice schedule for feeding and going potty and he loves sunbathing on the back patio.

About: I got my first dog, Jackie, back in January 2020 after growing up around animals through my formative years. Now I have 3 dogs whom I adore, and walking them is my happy place! I recently left my corporate job to get more connected to myself and what I love, and a major part of that has been spending time with animals. I respect each animals autonomy, and am particularly attuned to dog body language thanks to Jackie, who is very smart and sensitive. My number one goal is to keep the animals in my care safe and build up their confidence in the kindness of humans. I’m currently unemployed so for now my schedule is wide open, especially during typical office hours. I am hoping to fill that time with relief walks and socializing for your pups! I have a fully fenced in yard with a doggy door, so all animals have access to the outdoors when needed. I have 4 dogs in my house that are all friendly and welcoming to other dogs, but I can easily keep an unsure animal separate with baby gates or crating. In your home I follow your rules and schedule to keep you and your pet comfortable.

Lauren was such a treat! I went out of town to Seattle for the weekend, and she was able to take my little Teuta on walks and make sure she had water and food and was incredibly amazing! I was nervous because it was our first time leaving her in my home while being away (as opposed to daycare or boarding) and I was able to relax with Lauren, 100%. Plus, my little Uta is an energetic yet timid 2 year old dog with massive FOMO, but Lauren’s attentiveness and energy was exactly what she needed on our first weekend away. Not only did Lauren check in with the photos and comments, I could tell from the messages that she was really active and engaged with my dog. It wasn’t just the typical dog walk, they were best friends and I can’t believe how happy my dog was for someone new. Lauren is an eleven out of ten and would highly recommend her for anything!

About: The majority of my experience comes from caring for my family husky for over 8 years, but I have also helped pet sit for friends and family. I’ve had tasks like bottle feeding kittens, dog walking and daily pop ins for feeding/potty breaks. I’m available for anything that your pet may need! I’m currently working part time and am doing school online so I have a flexible schedule for pet sitting and can provide your pet with plenty of attention. Caring for your pet in home ensures they remain comfortable and stress-free in their familiar environment. I can provide feeding, fresh water, walks/playtime, litter box/waste cleanup, and any special care your pet may need. I maintain your pet’s routine, give them plenty of attention and affection, and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel at ease while you’re away.

About: I’ve had two cats for a few years now, and I’ve been cat sitting and dog sitting for friends for a couple of years. I absolutely love dogs and cats and I love spending time with them. I’ve had some experience with older cats. I also have a lot of experience with cats who try to escape. I’ll make sure your indoor kitties stay inside and are well cared for. I love taking dogs on walks, and jogs if they like that, and adventures so they can sniff and explore and lead the way! I work from my laptop, so I’m pretty flexible about when and where I can pet sit or dog walk. I have a lot of weekends free to stay at people’s homes. I can make sure that your pets are well cared for. I’ll make sure to follow their feeding schedule and walk and play with them. I’m very flexible about pets’ needs and I’m really good at following instructions.

About: Hi, I’m Sheila, a lifelong animal lover with a calm, nurturing presence and years of hands-on experience across species, ages, temperaments, and needs. I grew up on a small poultry farm surrounded by dogs, cats, and feathered friends, and I’ve continued that care into adulthood. I’ve raised and loved a variety of animals, including dogs, and cats of my own and through pet sitting for friends and with TrustedHousesitters, I’ve also supported families with senior pets, rescue animals, and those with medical or behavioral needs. I’m comfortable administering medications (oral, topical, and injected), adapting to animals with anxiety or mobility challenges, and tuning into what each pet uniquely needs, whether that's active play, a gentle routine, or quiet companionship. I attend grad school mostly online through UW, so your pet will get plenty of attention and presence. I look forward to connecting with you all. Spending time with animals is grounding, joyful, and meaningful for my life. If you’d like to connect or hear more about my past experience, I’d love to chat. I’m happy to share references and photos (or just swap pet stories!). Your animals are family. And I’ll treat them as such. Pet care naturally fits into my daily rhythm. I attend grad school mostly online through UW and have a flexible schedule, so I can easily adjust my day around walks, playtime, and cuddle breaks. Spending time with pets is grounding and joyful for me, not an add-on or chore. It gives me purpose and balance, so I welcome the routine of feeding, walks, medication (if needed), and companionship as part of my everyday flow. I meet each pet exactly where they are. In your home, I follow the routine you’ve already established, so your pet feels safe and comfortable in their own environment. That means keeping consistent meal times, walking routes, play activities, or quiet company, whatever your pet is used to. I’m comfortable with administering medications, supporting anxious or shy animals with patience, and giving extra attention to senior pets. My goal is always to maintain stability, reduce stress, and provide genuine companionship so you come home to a happy, cared-for pet.

And as someone who’s personally used services like Rover, I know it can be nerve-wracking to entrust your family member with someone else - that’s why it is my goal to build trust and provide satisfaction for you and your family member with every single interaction, no matter how long or short our time together! I have experience caring for a variety of species young and old, healthy and in need of extra TLC - including humans, as a Registered Nurse :) Therefore I’m very comfortable with tasks such as medication administration, incontinence care, preparing special diets, injury prevention and care, and more. When we first met Frances, we weren’t sure how our reactive Chihuahua, Benny, would do — but her calm, patient approach won him over almost instantly. She took the time to understand his triggers, worked with him gently, and now he greets her with a happy tail wag. Frances also accompanies our senior family member on walks with our other dog, Bucket, making sure both dogs (and human!) are safe, comfortable, and enjoying their time outside. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine love for animals have made her an absolute treasure to our family. ---

Our family went on a 19 day overseas trip and our 2-year-old Boxer (Falco) stayed with my elderly parents. Stephanie and her teen daughter took our pup on lengthy walks and runs so he could exercise the Boxer energy that my parents can’t physically manage. Falco was excited every time they arrived for his walks. and it was clear he had a great time. Stephanie communicated closely with my mother and me to flexibly coordinate times. Thanks to Stephanie for ensuring our dog was well cared for so we could relax and enjoy our vacation.
