About: I’ve had dogs my entire life. As a stay at home mom, I have plenty of time to watch your loved ones while you’re away. We have an active but relaxed home. We currently have one extremely friendly, well socialized shepherd mix dog who gets along with every dog he meets. Over the years I’ve cared for friends’ and family’s dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. My kids love dogs and are able to let new dog friends acclimate without pestering. We walk the neighborhood every night and play in the backyard. I am a stay at home mom with elementary aged kids. Especially during the school year, I am almost always at home. My husband also works full time from home so there is always someone here to keep an eye on things. We have a great schedule in place for our dog in terms of potty breaks and feeding. We have a fully fenced back yard and a lovely neighborhood full of sidewalks to go on long evening walks. In our home, dogs are part of the family. They are allowed on the couch and sleep in our bedroom. Our dog has a nice schedule for feeding and going potty and he loves sunbathing on the back patio.

I pay attention to your pet, notice when something feels off, and treat your home with the same respect I'd want for my own. One thing worth mentioning: I only take bookings in non-smoking homes, and I appreciate your understanding on that. My schedule is flexible right now, so I can work around yours. Whether it's consistent weekly visits or the occasional last-minute request, I can usually make it work as long as I'm not already booked. First, I'd like to meet you and your pet in person. It helps me get familiar with their personality and routine, and makes sure they know who I am before I show up solo. The last thing I want is for your pet to see me as a stranger who isn't supposed to be there. We'll go over their feeding schedule, medications, leash behavior, training, and emergency vet info, including the nearest location. I'll ask you to put it all in writing before I get started so we're both on the same page, and nothing gets missed. I'll also want to know how they do around other animals on walks, since some dogs are social butterflies and some aren't, and I'd rather know upfront than find out mid-walk. When I'm in your home, I treat it with care, keep things exactly as you'd want them, and make sure your pet stays comfortable and keeps their routine the whole time.

I grew up with both cats and dogs, and over the years I've pet sat for family and friends, as well as walked dogs while I was in college. One of my favorite experiences was fostering cats with my husband—we came incredibly close to "foster failing" and adopting them ourselves! The only reason we didn't was because we were preparing to move abroad. Now that we're back home, we miss having animals in our daily lives, and Rover is the perfect way for me to spend time with pets while helping their owners. I'm an active person who played Division II soccer in college, so I'm always happy to take energetic dogs on long walks, runs, or adventures outside. Whether your pet loves playing, exploring, or just curling up for some company, I'm happy to meet them where they're most comfortable. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I'll care for your pets as if they were my own. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while giving you complete peace of mind. My schedule is flexible since I work as a freelance Project Manager. Mondays and Fridays are typically my most open days, but with a little advance notice, I'm often able to accommodate visits throughout the rest of the week as well. I also work from home several days a week, which gives me the flexibility to stop by for drop-in visits, walks, or check-ins during the day if you're located in the Vancouver area. About: I got my first dog when I was five and haven’t not had a dog since. My oldest is 13 and is my whole world! I’ve been taking care of him since he was 8 weeks old and he is truly my best friend. I know how special a dog is and I know you only want the best for yours! My oldest lost his hearing a couple of years ago and since then I’ve learned to navigate communicating with hard of hearing pets! I’m currently raising a very rambunctious pitbull puppy, I’m confident I can handle whatever your pet throws at me! I’m currently a part time student at Clark college and work at a local restaurant on Friday and Saturday nights from 4:30pm-9:00pm. I’m available most mornings and afternoons with the exception of Monday and Wednesday 11:00am-12:20pm while I’m in class! While I don’t offer care in my home out of consideration for my family and my own pets I am more than capable of caring for your pets in your home!
