About: Aside from my professional history as a wildlife biologist and former Oregon Zoo keeper I am a life long lover of dogs. There hasn't been a moment of my life without a dog being in my household (aside from field expeditions, sometimes tracking wolves). I am experienced in all ages of dog welfare from puppy training to administering senior dog medication and all the complications of taking care of our old dogs. I'm in shape to handle any sized dog in the event of aggressive leash pulling or needing to lift a dog in care of emergency. Recently laid off due to Government lay offs of research scientists I am currently available 24/7 if needed. I have my own animals at home I need to care for of course but between my wife and myself I have a flexible schedule and should be available whenever you need me. I'm experienced with all level of dog care at all ages, including training. I can do multiple feeding a day, administer medication, walk, play, crate train, etc. I have an enclosed backyard in a quiet neighborhood that is safe for dogs of all sizes.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life. As a stay at home mom, I have plenty of time to watch your loved ones while you’re away. We have an active but relaxed home. We currently have one extremely friendly, well socialized shepherd mix dog who gets along with every dog he meets. Over the years I’ve cared for friends’ and family’s dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. My kids love dogs and are able to let new dog friends acclimate without pestering. We walk the neighborhood every night and play in the backyard. I am a stay at home mom with elementary aged kids. Especially during the school year, I am almost always at home. My husband also works full time from home so there is always someone here to keep an eye on things. We have a great schedule in place for our dog in terms of potty breaks and feeding. We have a fully fenced back yard and a lovely neighborhood full of sidewalks to go on long evening walks. In our home, dogs are part of the family. They are allowed on the couch and sleep in our bedroom. Our dog has a nice schedule for feeding and going potty and he loves sunbathing on the back patio.

About: I got my first dog, Jackie, back in January 2020 after growing up around animals through my formative years. Now I have 3 dogs whom I adore, and walking them is my happy place! I recently left my corporate job to get more connected to myself and what I love, and a major part of that has been spending time with animals. I respect each animals autonomy, and am particularly attuned to dog body language thanks to Jackie, who is very smart and sensitive. My number one goal is to keep the animals in my care safe and build up their confidence in the kindness of humans. I’m currently unemployed so for now my schedule is wide open, especially during typical office hours. I am hoping to fill that time with relief walks and socializing for your pups! I have a fully fenced in yard with a doggy door, so all animals have access to the outdoors when needed. I have 4 dogs in my house that are all friendly and welcoming to other dogs, but I can easily keep an unsure animal separate with baby gates or crating. In your home I follow your rules and schedule to keep you and your pet comfortable.

About: Hello! My name is Madelyn and I’ve been fostering animals with the humane society for the last 5 years. I have experience working with ringworm kittens, senior animals, administering medicine, stray cats/dogs, and post-surgery care. Fostering and boarding/pet-sitting has been really rewarding for me because I can spend time with animals and support their owners, but I can’t commit to my own pet at this time. I’ve also grown up with labradors and bulldogs so they have a special place in my heart. I work full time at home as an emergency preparedness and response coordinator, so I am home during the week each day. Outside of work I spend a lot of time at home and I live alone so the extra companionship is comforting for me. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment downtown near Esther Short Park & the Waterfront. I keep my home very clean and quiet, so it is a great vacation spot for cats and dogs alike. I also have treats and toys and a lot of love.

About: Hi! We're Gina and James and we're so excited to welcome your dog into our home! We have been dog sitting in our home for over 5 years but took a break from Rover as we were taking care of our senior corgi. After our dog crossed the rainbow bridge we decided to open our home back up to dogs again. We have 1 dog, Toby, and we're blessed to be able to both work from home full time. Our house has a large fully fenced backyard and dogs have furniture privilege. We consider ourselves pet parents and love to spoil our dogs with lots of walks and playtime. We care deeply about your dogs safety and will ensure they are looked after as if they are our own. We have a gate separating the kitchen from the rest of the home so we can ensure there is no counter surfing and provide separation during mealtimes. We look forward to meeting you and your dog! James works from home full time and I am waiting to start nursing school in January 2027 so I have free time to spend with dogs! James is up early so can give out breakfast and do potty breaks for dogs first thing in the morning. We usually take a 2 mile sniffy walk around 10am and an afternoon walk can be added if needed We have a fully fenced backyard with lots of room for dogs to play. In our home we have a gate separating the kitchen from the rest of the house.
