About: Aside from my professional history as a wildlife biologist and former Oregon Zoo keeper I am a life long lover of dogs. There hasn't been a moment of my life without a dog being in my household (aside from field expeditions, sometimes tracking wolves). I am experienced in all ages of dog welfare from puppy training to administering senior dog medication and all the complications of taking care of our old dogs. I'm in shape to handle any sized dog in the event of aggressive leash pulling or needing to lift a dog in care of emergency. Recently laid off due to Government lay offs of research scientists I am currently available 24/7 if needed. I have my own animals at home I need to care for of course but between my wife and myself I have a flexible schedule and should be available whenever you need me. I'm experienced with all level of dog care at all ages, including training. I can do multiple feeding a day, administer medication, walk, play, crate train, etc. I have an enclosed backyard in a quiet neighborhood that is safe for dogs of all sizes.
“Great communication, great walk for Brahm! You can tell Claire is comfortable with dogs and Brahm was comfortable with her. He's pooped out from his great walk now on the floor :).”

About: **Last minute bookings considered -message me for details** As a pet sitter, I provide attentive and individualized care tailored to each pet's temperament and needs. NOTE: 10% of all earnings will be donated to a non-profit to assist humans, pets, and/or animal shelters! 😊 I prioritize a clean, safe, and peaceful environment, ensuring your pet feels secure and well-cared-for while you’re away. My goal is to give you peace of mind—and your pet the comfort of familiar, consistent care. I also love taking pet portraits too! See my pets pics! I can offer flexible pet care scheduling and dedicated attention to each pet I visit. My days revolve around providing consistent, quality care—ensuring your pet’s needs and routines are always my top priority. Will find a solution if I have multiple pet visits or clients in a day.
“Sydney is terrific: always on time, communicative, and otherwise professional. She handled our pup with care, and he always looked forward to his walks with her. He invariably came back with tail wagging. Couldn't recommend her enough.”

“Emily is amazing with my dogs, and no wonder, she is a professional dog trainer! She immediately formed a trusting bond with my dogs, who hang on her every word! She is the perfect mixture of gentle, calm, and firm, that my dogs thrive on, and she really understands dog psychology and behavior. She has already suggested and implemented several techniques during walks to help engage the dogs mentally, and it really tires them out!”

“Megan has been great and responds very quickly, even with short notices. My dog returns home happy after every walk. She is communicative regarding pick up/drop off times and updated availability. Hand offs have been easy breezy - I will recommend Megan to anyone.”

About: Hi, I’m Sheila, a lifelong animal lover with a calm, nurturing presence and years of hands-on experience across species, ages, temperaments, and needs. I grew up on a small poultry farm surrounded by dogs, cats, and feathered friends, and I’ve continued that care into adulthood. I’ve raised and loved a variety of animals, including dogs, and cats of my own and through pet sitting for friends and with TrustedHousesitters, I’ve also supported families with senior pets, rescue animals, and those with medical or behavioral needs. I’m comfortable administering medications (oral, topical, and injected), adapting to animals with anxiety or mobility challenges, and tuning into what each pet uniquely needs, whether that's active play, a gentle routine, or quiet companionship. I attend grad school mostly online through UW, so your pet will get plenty of attention and presence. I look forward to connecting with you all. Spending time with animals is grounding, joyful, and meaningful for my life. If you’d like to connect or hear more about my past experience, I’d love to chat. I’m happy to share references and photos (or just swap pet stories!). Your animals are family. And I’ll treat them as such. Pet care naturally fits into my daily rhythm. I attend grad school mostly online through UW and have a flexible schedule, so I can easily adjust my day around walks, playtime, and cuddle breaks. Spending time with pets is grounding and joyful for me, not an add-on or chore. It gives me purpose and balance, so I welcome the routine of feeding, walks, medication (if needed), and companionship as part of my everyday flow. I meet each pet exactly where they are. In your home, I follow the routine you’ve already established, so your pet feels safe and comfortable in their own environment. That means keeping consistent meal times, walking routes, play activities, or quiet company, whatever your pet is used to. I’m comfortable with administering medications, supporting anxious or shy animals with patience, and giving extra attention to senior pets. My goal is always to maintain stability, reduce stress, and provide genuine companionship so you come home to a happy, cared-for pet.
About: I’ve had dogs my entire life. As a stay at home mom, I have plenty of time to watch your loved ones while you’re away. We have an active but relaxed home. We currently have one extremely friendly, well socialized shepherd mix dog who gets along with every dog he meets. Over the years I’ve cared for friends’ and family’s dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. My kids love dogs and are able to let new dog friends acclimate without pestering. We walk the neighborhood every night and play in the backyard. I am a stay at home mom with elementary aged kids. Especially during the school year, I am almost always at home. My husband also works full time from home so there is always someone here to keep an eye on things. We have a great schedule in place for our dog in terms of potty breaks and feeding. We have a fully fenced back yard and a lovely neighborhood full of sidewalks to go on long evening walks. In our home, dogs are part of the family. They are allowed on the couch and sleep in our bedroom. Our dog has a nice schedule for feeding and going potty and he loves sunbathing on the back patio.
“YAY! So grateful I found Elaine. I twisted my ankle and she was there helping me every day for 7 days so that I could rest. Her energy, kindness, flexibility, communication, and love of animals is so evident. I would let Elaine take care of all of my animals at any moment. I will absolutely have her walk Ginger again. And also boarding!”

“Alura was available for me in a pinch and was flexible and kind while we sorted out the weekly walk schedule. She followed the instructions I left without any issues. We, including our beloved Darwin, are so grateful for the love. Highly recommend her service!”

About: Ever since I was little I can remember always taking care of others - people, dogs, cats and many other little creatures along the way. Now as the new season approaches and spring welcomes us, I am now looking for new work and would love to care and connect with all the fur babies in our community here in Downtown Vancouver! I have open availability between 6am and 9pm everyday! More then enough to care for your fur babies and lend a helping hand:) Thank you! I have two sassy girl cats who love there floor to ceiling cat tree and many toys they go crazy for! With sassy being said, my services will be provided in home only as Indie and Luna are very particular with who they let into their home😅
“Zach and Janexis have been great. Frou is getting walked on a regular basis and is much happier. Great communication and they show up for every walk and have been flexible with the schedule. I greatly appreciate having people that I can trust with my dog and with my house. Highly recommend!”
About: Having a dog myself, I know how hard it is when you need to leave, so I treat that responsibility seriously! What sets me apart is the level of attention and presence I give to every dog. I don’t juggle a packed schedule or treat pet care as something to squeeze in. I’m genuinely attentive throughout the day and focused on each dog’s comfort, routine, and emotional well-being. I’m patient, observant, and quick to notice changes in behavior or needs. I’m comfortable following detailed instructions, caring for young puppies, and supporting them as they adjust to routines. My goal isn’t just to meet expectations, but to make both you and your dog feel completely at ease. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine and I structure my day around making sure dogs get consistent attention, bathroom breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of affection. I’m home enough to be present and attentive, and I enjoy building my schedule around a dog’s needs and routine. Whether your dog is more energetic or more laid-back, I will make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and never ignored. I live in a dog friendly apartment building with plenty of nearby parks and walking trails, which means lots of opportunities for walks, sniffing, and mental stimulation throughout the day. While I don’t have a private fenced yard, there is a large fenced dog park close by for safe, enclosed play and lots of fetch. I’m very mindful of each dog’s comfort level and tailor outdoor time to what helps them feel happiest. My goal is for you to leave knowing your dog is in caring, capable hands and to come back to a happy, relaxed pup.

About: I got my first dog, Jackie, back in January 2020 after growing up around animals through my formative years. Now I have 3 dogs whom I adore, and walking them is my happy place! I recently left my corporate job to get more connected to myself and what I love, and a major part of that has been spending time with animals. I respect each animals autonomy, and am particularly attuned to dog body language thanks to Jackie, who is very smart and sensitive. My number one goal is to keep the animals in my care safe and build up their confidence in the kindness of humans. I’m currently unemployed so for now my schedule is wide open, especially during typical office hours. I am hoping to fill that time with relief walks and socializing for your pups! I have a fully fenced in yard with a doggy door, so all animals have access to the outdoors when needed. I have 4 dogs in my house that are all friendly and welcoming to other dogs, but I can easily keep an unsure animal separate with baby gates or crating. In your home I follow your rules and schedule to keep you and your pet comfortable.
About: Hello! My name is Madelyn and I’ve been fostering animals with the humane society for the last 5 years. I have experience working with ringworm kittens, senior animals, administering medicine, stray cats/dogs, and post-surgery care. Fostering and boarding/pet-sitting has been really rewarding for me because I can spend time with animals and support their owners, but I can’t commit to my own pet at this time. I’ve also grown up with labradors and bulldogs so they have a special place in my heart. I work full time at home as an emergency preparedness and response coordinator, so I am home during the week each day. Outside of work I spend a lot of time at home and I live alone so the extra companionship is comforting for me. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment downtown near Esther Short Park & the Waterfront. I keep my home very clean and quiet, so it is a great vacation spot for cats and dogs alike. I also have treats and toys and a lot of love.
About: Hi! We're Gina and James and we're so excited to welcome your dog into our home! We have been dog sitting in our home for over 5 years but took a break from Rover as we were taking care of our senior corgi. After our dog crossed the rainbow bridge we decided to open our home back up to dogs again. We have 1 dog, Toby, and we're blessed to be able to both work from home full time. Our house has a large fully fenced backyard and dogs have furniture privilege. We consider ourselves pet parents and love to spoil our dogs with lots of walks and playtime. We care deeply about your dogs safety and will ensure they are looked after as if they are our own. We have a gate separating the kitchen from the rest of the home so we can ensure there is no counter surfing and provide separation during mealtimes. We look forward to meeting you and your dog! James works from home full time and I am waiting to start nursing school in January 2027 so I have free time to spend with dogs! James is up early so can give out breakfast and do potty breaks for dogs first thing in the morning. We usually take a 2 mile sniffy walk around 10am and an afternoon walk can be added if needed We have a fully fenced backyard with lots of room for dogs to play. In our home we have a gate separating the kitchen from the rest of the house.
About: I have had doggies all my life and wouldn’t have it any other way. Small, big, loving, lazy, reactive- they all deserve love & attention all the same. Hello! I’m currently a nursing student looking to gain a hobby for my sanity. The money isn’t really a factor for me, I just love spending time outdoors & sharing that love with mine & your dogs! My availability isn’t wide open since I juggle a full time job & being a full time student. However, message me and we can work something out! I want to stay within your comfort zone when your dogs are in my hands. Whatever instructions you provide of where & how to walk/care for your pups, i’ll follow!
Lincoln dog parents share their Rover experiences
Ashley did a great job walking Toby for us and we are looking forward to booking her again in the future! We especially appreciated her patience with Toby as he was nervous about putting his leash on for a new person and Ashely took extra time to sit with him and gain his trust which made us feel so much better about being away from him. We would definitely recommend Ashley to anyone else looking for a dog walker!

My dog Jasper really needed a friend for when his parents aren't around and Megan is a wonderful caring dog walker! She's is easy to book with, communicative and interested in everything Jasper! Jasper is so happy to see her and doesn't hesitate to spend time with her. Thank you Megan!

Kira was great! I’m pretty picky when it comes to who I will let in my home and care for my pet but she made it easy for me to go about my day knowing Pilot was happy and and well taken care of. I highly recommend her and I will definitely be rebooking with her for future walks and home stays when I’m on puppy free vacations.

When we first met Frances, we weren’t sure how our reactive Chihuahua, Benny, would do — but her calm, patient approach won him over almost instantly. She took the time to understand his triggers, worked with him gently, and now he greets her with a happy tail wag. Frances also accompanies our senior family member on walks with our other dog, Bucket, making sure both dogs (and human!) are safe, comfortable, and enjoying their time outside. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine love for animals have made her an absolute treasure to our family. ---
