“Julie did a great job of taking care of our two dogs while we were out of town. She was punctual every visit and the pictures she provided showed just how much Bailey and Petey enjoyed seeing her. We will definitely use her again when a situation arises that we have to leave them behind.”

“We have Jenni care for our dog and reptiles every time we go out of town. She is reliable, and goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is well cared for! It is so nice to know that we do not need to worry about the pets when we are away!”

“Harper was very good. She kept me updated and sent pictures. She even cleaned up the mess my dog made as she got out of her crate and loved her freedom. I highly recommend her.”

“Josh is amazing! We were so nervous to leave our dog (Jazz) with someone new, but Josh put our mind at ease by sending detailed updates and by being very responsive via text. He went above and beyond what was required, bringing Jazz treats on Christmas Day and stopping in for last minute walks when our travel plans changed. Our dog absolutely loves Josh, maybe more than she loves us!”

“My dog Lucy loved Jade. She came over 3-4 times a week, walked, and hung out with Lucy. Jade was great and Lucy looked forward to seeing her. I would still be using Jade if I didn’t move, but would use her again if I go back. Cannot say enough good things about Jade and how great she was with my dog.”

About: Our family would love to spend time with your dog! We had a Shitzu Llaso Apso for the last 15 yrs, but he passed away. We're not quite ready to adopt another dog but he left a serious hole. We'd be ever so grateful for you to lend us your pup to soak up our attention! Brenda has had dogs her whole life. From puppies to old buddies. We'll take your instructions seriously and make sure your dog is happy and loved. Dogs under 40 lbs are the best fit for our space and we limit our pup sitting capacity to two pets at a time. If your pet needs 1 on 1 care just let us know and we'll do our best to arrange it! We have two kids (12 & 14) who went to the"PET" (Pet Education Training) class at OMSI last summer and are serious about treating your dog well. We love to play at the park and go for neighborhood walks! Or just hang out in our fenced yard if that's your buddy’s speed. Reach out, we'd love to meet your pup fur-real! I work part-time from home and loves the energy that dogs bring to my workday. We have a fenced yard and love going for walks. We have experience with dogs of all ages, though we aren't taking puppies at the moment. If you have any questions just text/call us at anytime during your dogs stay.

About: I am COVID vaccinated and perfectly happy to mask up for meet and greets. I have 13+ years experience with a difficult and anxious dog. Im able to provide a calm presence for nervous/fearful dogs and I have years of experience with administering oral medications. I’ve had pets my whole life, ranging from cats to dogs to hamsters to rats. I work full time during the day, but I am able to do morning and evening check ins for your pets. I’m a daily cat box scooper in my own home. My weekend availability it higher for longer visits as needed. I am a big fan of maintaining as normal of a schedule as possible for your pets. I’m happy to indulge any quirks (I’ve wiped bottoms after potty breaks) that your pet may have so we can have the best experience together.

My cat warmed up to him right away and I could tell me cat was enjoying Blake’s company from the photos Blake provided. I would definitely recommend Blake to other pet owners. Thanks again.”

About: I’ve worked in veterinary medicine for the last 5 years and in a shelter environment for the last 6-7 years. I am very comfortable working with animals in varying conditions of health and behavior, even receiving my fear-free certification for animal handling in 2021-2022. I am always willing to work with you to make this the most comfortable experience for you and your pet and will always maintain open communication! I work T-F 7-5:30 so I am open any day after work and have open availability Saturday-Monday for the most part. Sometimes my schedule may change and if services are needed outside of these hours you can check in and we could work something out. I am willing to stay in the home with your pet to make it a more comfortable and less stressful experience for your pet as a change in environment can be stressful to animals. I am willing to do this during the week if your location works with my job location in NE Portland.

About: It's no secret that I love animals more than people (no offense). There is something so pure and uncomplicated about the bonds we form with our pets, and leaving them behind is never easy, no matter the reason. When your bestie needs a buddy, you'll want a sitter who is not only present in the room, but present in the moment; someone you can trust to be just as attentive to their emotional needs as their physical ones. As a member of your pet's care team, I consider myself to be an extension of their family. My priority is to foster a comfortable, engaging, and loving environment that feels as close to their normal routine as possible. I strive to be the next best thing to having you there, and to provide consistent communication and trustworthy service that enables you to travel stress-free. I have been pet sitting and dog walking professionally since 2017 through Rover, and work part time as a Pet Care Professional with Hot Diggity Dog Walking. With nearly 60 rave reviews and over 20 repeat clients, I am proud to have been among the first to achieve Rover's "Star Sitter" status, a distinction which "highlights sitters with a track record of highly rated care for pets and responsible, reliable service for pet parents." I am certified in first aid and CPR via ProTrainings, and have over 30 years of pet ownership experience with a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, fish, and horses. I have experience working with different ages and temperaments, including those anxious, hesitant, young, elderly, and/or injured pets who may benefit from having some extra care and thoughtfulness built into their routine. I am comfortable administering medications, and I'm happy to work with your pet on any specific training regimens you have in place, to maintain consistency in their education and environment. If this feels like a good fit for you, please reach out with a bit about your pet and their specific needs, and we can compare calendars to schedule a meet-and-greet. I look forward to meeting you and getting to know your furry family member(s)! I am a full-time pet care provider, and intentionally spend as much of my time at home with your pet as I can, to minimize anxiety while their people are gone. I will occasionally need to leave for a couple of hours here and there to visit my regular dog walking clients during the day, or to attend band practices or other commitments in the evenings, but I do my best to prioritize quality time with the animals in my care. I like to maintain your pet's typical routine as closely as possible, as I find the familiarity and consistency keeps them feeling calm. Depending on their needs and energy levels, we'll have a balance of indoor play time, walks around the neighborhood, and cuddle time. Rest assured I will be loving on them as if they are my own pets! This is how I meet my own needs as an animal-obsessed touring musician whose travel schedule doesn't allow for personal pet ownership. :)

Ashley K.
“If you are looking for someone to watch your animals, who is a proven responsible pet owner, then Ashley is who you want! Many years ago Ashley took in a stray border collie mix, who at first glance appeared to be a perfect dog. It didn't take long to figure out that he was far from perfect, as he suffered greatly from separation anxiety, not to mention fear of thunder, fireworks, and yes - even the noise garbage trucks make. Over the course of his lifetime she had to "remodel" 3 bathrooms (because he tried to hide and locked himself in), and repair a leather couch that he tore up trying to find a good hiding place. While most people may have given up and surrendered him to a shelter, she did not. As he aged he developed Cushing's Disease, went blind and deaf, and had difficulty navigating stairs. Where many people may have decided it was time to say goodbye, she instead sought treatment for the disease, and bought a harness that he wore 24/7 - so that she could assist him going up and down stairs. It wasn't until she felt he was no longer enjoying life that she finally decided it was time to say goodbye. That dog was deeply devoted to Ashley - just as she was to him. Ashley's view on pet ownership is simple: You aquired the pet - so you signed up for the job of providing for them and caring for them - whether it's convenient or not. Trust in Ashley - your pets will thank you for it!”

Ruby P.
“I've known Ruby for over ten years. When I first met her she was volunteering as a dog walker at our local shelter. There she adopted Maya, one of the harder-to-place dogs. Ruby lovingly cared for Maya for several years, through a cancer diagnosis and extensive treatment. She is a gentle, compassionate, and skilled caretaker. I trust Ruby without hesitation and would wholeheartedly recommend her.”

Margaret W.
“A dog mom herself, Margaret loves spending time with her pup, Ellie. She lovingly trains her pup with positive reinforcement and takes her on walks around our neighborhood and (pup-permitted) trails! She also has experience pet/house-sitting (for both cats and dogs)!”

Brigit S.Star Sitter

“She went above and beyond as before. Would definitely recommend and will hire again!”
Argay pet parents share their Rover experiences
I get great communication from Jade! She sends cute pics and is super aware of my dog and the environment. She even noticed when there was some torn paper on the ground and made sure to tell me incase my dog ate it. Marli seems to adore Jade from what I can see on the dog camera.

Lindsey is a fantastic cat sitter! She quickly connected with our shy kitties and looked after them for a full week. She stayed on schedule, sent us pictures of a clean letterbox and full food dishes, and even dealt with an ant eruption. I wouldn't hesitate to book her again.

Brandi is phenomenal! We were a little bit nervous leaving our pup at home but Brandi put us at ease. She treated our pup like he was her own. We got daily updates (every single time she swung by actually) which was amazing. Chuck can’t wait to hang with her and her family again!!!

Micaela never fails to make our vacations even better with amazing action shots and hilarious report cards. We’ve never felt so comfortable having someone look after our fur babies and she is always our first choice when planning trips. Her Reputation🐍 is unmatched and in our Wildest Dreams (TV😉) we couldn’t imagine a better sitter.

Anastasia is hands down the best person to leave your furry babies with. Our cat, George is a particular and crotchety old man cat who nibbles people. But not her. She was phenomenal with him. It’s often hard to trust someone to care for your pets the way you do, but Anastasia makes that easy to do. She followed all of George’s care instructions and made sure to give him all the love and treats and pets. I would book her a million times for every pet I’ve ever (and will ever) own. She’s fantastic. If you’re looking for someone you can entrust your babies to, look no further. Thank you again Anastasia for taking such excellent care of George for me.
