About: I have lots of personal experience with cats, dogs, birds, and lizards. I have fostered kittens last summer and help raise puppies with my aunt. I treat all animals with the respect they deserve and am well with directions. I often have as much energy to burn as the pets i watch so it’s perfect for playtime. About: Traveling to Arcata for 10 weeks and happy to cat sit! There's something about cats and small dogs that just resonate. I have lived with cats, pigeons, parakeets, a pittie mix, and 2 small dogs in my home, and immediately adopted my own cat once I moved out. That being said, I vibe the strongest with cat energy (chihuahuas and other small dogs are also cats, believe me). I've been pet sitting across multiple platforms since I was 15 (now 31). If your pet is looking for a friend with a cozy vibe, I'm their gal :) I spend most of my time writing and making art at home, so we will have have plenty of time to bond. I will make sure they feel like someone loving and safe is still around while you are on your trip away. Excepting the other Rover sits, I work on a contract and freelance schedule, so my schedule is relatively flexible. Shoot me a message and let's see if we can make it work. I’ve lived with Dobermans my whole life and am capable of care for any dog of any size! About: I own a 7 acre property that is a short drive up Fickle Hill Rd in Arcata! It includes a private trail with access to the community forest and a very large fenced in yard. I have a 1 year old female German Shepherd (Sabine) who is very well trained and LOVES to play with other dogs. I’ve been working with animals my entire life but started officially dog sitting and walking about 10 years ago! I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes and personalities and feel comfortable and confident in my care abilities. Locally I have done in home care both long term and short term. Now that I have this large property I would like to do more of a doggy day care! I am capable of providing training, grooming, as well as daily exercise and enrichment activities! I am free Monday - Thursday every week as I work from home as a ceramic artist. On the weekends (Friday - Sunday) I work as a waitress. I offer care from my home where I have a very large fenced in yard with plenty of space to run around and enjoy the outdoors. As well as a large dog friendly home for those rainy days. All plants and trees on the property are dog safe! I also have a private trail that is connected to the community forest trails where I take Sabine (my dog) for daily walks. Sabine also loves the beach so we do take weekly trips out to the dunes in Samoa! I’m a dog lover and feel that I am very attuned to understanding the way they communicate. About: I’ve taken care of family and friend’s pets since middle school. I’ve pet sat for them while they are on vacation or dropped in when their pets need some extra care and they are busy at work. I have had many critters of my own including cats, dogs, and bearded dragons. I have experience feeding, walking, grooming, and bathing cats and dogs. I am a full time college student leaving me without much time for a traditional job. I have school in-person Monday-Friday. Though my classes are over 4 hours apart and mostly only an hour long with lots of time to check in on your pets or take them out for a walk. I don’t have another job at the moment, so my weekends are also free for pet care and pet sitting works great for me since in between walks and meals I can usually catch up on some schoolwork while still looking after your furry loved ones. I am available for stop by check-ins/feedings, house-sitting, and frequent walks. My top priority is always your pets safety and comfort. I will always treat your pets, homes, and your own wishes with the most respect. I have multiple roommates with their own pets and am unable to board your pets in my own home. Though I am available for pet care in your home as well as available to take them out for walks around your neighborhood or on adventures like to the beach, or on a hike depending on your preference and what you are comfortable with.

Whether you need me to be quiet and calm or loud and hyper, I will match your pet’s energy. I’m currently job hunting, and looking to make a side income that isn’t taxing on the mind. I have taken care of pets for family and friends throughout my life (more frequently in the past 4 years). I want to hyper-focus on job hunting Monday through Wednesday, but I am flexible the rest of the week. I make sure there is an emergency contact list (including vet), confirm house rules (such as whether or not the client allows pets on their couch), frequently check water bowl levels, set alarms for the pet’s meals, provide enough play and exercise for the pet (multiple walks, fetch, etc.).
