“Carmen is the best. She took care of Nuomi so well followed all the instructions. (Oh and also did I mention that she takes awesome pics?) would ask her to take care of my pup again for sure!”

“Megan was fantastic with my cat Norman. Norman is a diabetic cat who can be aggressive with strangers when they try to give insulin, so it's often tough to find sitters who can manage him. I was so happy with how patient and compassionate Megan was with him. She was extremely reliable and a great communicator, and was able to make sure he got his insulin on time everyday. I would really highly recommend Megan, you can definitely trust her to take great care of your pet!”

“Audrey did an awesome job watching my cats, I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. My cats loved Audrey back, as evidenced by pics of them crawling all over Audrey, lol! The litter box was clean, and they were fed and happy when I got home too, just like I was hoping. Audrey was kind and pleasant to be in contact with.”

About: I’ve spent over 10 years caring for pets, including senior pets and those with special needs, including diabetes care. I’m always happy to tailor my approach so your pet gets the exact care, attention, and routine they’re used to. As someone with pets of my own, I have a good chunk of time carved out specifically for animal care. I would love to spend my spare time with other pets while their families are away. I am committed to providing personalized care tailored to each pet’s routine and needs. In a client’s home, I maintain your pet’s normal schedule with feedings, fresh water, walks or litter box cleaning, playtime, and companionship. My goal is to keep your pet comfortable and their routine consistent to minimize any stress while you're away.
“Jessica was absolutely amazing! My first time using Rover and she made the whole process go smoothly. She was communicative , on time and trustworthy. She took great care of my senior pug , making him feel comfortable and was attentive to his needs. Will definitely be using her again for dog sitting, Thanks Jessica for being you!”

“Jessie is wonderful to have as our pet sitter! She communicates well and was so great with Oslo. She is totally trustworthy and we will definitely be calling upon her again!”

About: When I was 9, I got my first dog, and that is how I started to be interested in being a vet and take care of dogs. I’m a UCD Animal Science student. My class schedule is not very busy other than Thursdays for this quarter, so I will be home most of the time other than that. I have 3 roommates (2 are also Animal Science students) who also loves animals and knows how to take care of them and have experiences with pets. There will usually be at least 1-2 person at home always. We have plenty of space for your pet to run around in the house, and a yard which we can be taking the dog out for potty breaks.
About: For nearly 20 years, I have owned and cared for pets. I've cared for everything from rats to bunnies, quails to chickens, dogs and cats. I love animals of every kind and would love to spend my summer caring for them. I'm currently on summer break from law school and therefore I have all the time in the world to care for your babies. I am an early riser so if pet care needs to start at 5AM, not a problem. I do a good job of making walks enjoyable for the pups while also being vigilant about their safety. In my home, your dog will have my complete and utter attention. I live with two other very kind, animal-loving UC Davis students and there are no other animals in the house aside from two budgies that remain in my housemate's bedroom.
“Jenna took great care of our cat. She was considerate by giving notice before she came to the house, and sent many pictures in her update. I would book Jenna again and would recommend her as a pet sitter!”

With a strong understanding of dog psychology, my goal is to provide structure and enrichment to set them up for success. I can provide services for dog walking, pet sitting, and overnight sitting. Pet care is a part of my everyday life and I ensure that every dog under my care will get all the attention and care that they need. About: Are you a professional traveling for work or vacation? Do you need a house sitter who follows instructions with the same precision used in a lab? I am a PhD microbiologist and former UC Davis postdoctoral researcher, currently transitioning from academic research to state policy work. I have experience with taking care of my own pets, taking care of others' pets, and following precise protocols for taking safe, kind, and meticulous care of research animals as diverse as squid and cattle. While navigating the state hiring timeline, I am offering premium house/pet sitting services for clients who value maturity, reliability, and absolute adherence to their home routines. What do I offer? - The "Adult" Standard: I am a professional in my 30s. I do not throw parties. I do not invite guests. I do not treat your home like a dorm. It remains a sanctuary. - Protocol-Driven Care: My background is in the lab, not the clinic. I don't guess at animal psychology, but I follow your care protocols exactly. Medication schedules, dietary measurements, and security routines are executed precisely as written. - Cleanliness & Respect: I am trained to leave a workspace cleaner than I found it. Your home will be maintained to a high standard of order and hygiene. - Privacy Firewall: As a professional in transition, I offer a level of privacy that your students or subordinates cannot. Your personal life remains completely separate from your professional hierarchy. Logistics: - References: Current Landlord (vouching for impeccable property care) + Professional References. - Availability: I housesit a maximum of two weeks per month. - Animals I Will Sit: Adult and senior dogs, small non-venomous/poisonous animals (both mammals and reptiles - non-venomous snakes < 4 feet in length ok!), and aquatics only. For aquatics especially, please prepare a care sheet with the number and species (with scientific names if you know them) of all animals in the tank(s) and required physicochemical parameters for each tank, in addition to health information and feeding schedules. No cats may be present in the home (I am allergic). - Behavioral Requirements: Your dog must be fully housetrained and preferably also trained to follow some basic commands ("sit", "stay", "come"). I do not accept dogs with severe separation anxiety, constant barking, aggression towards humans, or destructive tendencies. I do not accept small animals/aquatics with aggression towards humans or destructive tendencies. - Other requirements: I am a working professional. Your home must have reliable high-speed Wi-Fi and a quiet place to sit and work while I housesit/watch your pet. If I am staying in your home, for my safety and security, I require that no other humans other than you come over for the duration. I work remotely full-time as a policy consultant, meaning my schedule is highly flexible and I can be present in the home for the majority of the day. I maintain a quiet, predictable, and focused daily routine. Because my work is entirely remote, your pets will have consistent companionship, and their specific feeding, walking, and medication schedules will be executed exactly as you prescribe them. My background as a laboratory scientist means I operate with an exacting standard of cleanliness, precision, and respect for established protocols. Your home is treated as a secure, private environment. I do not invite guests over, I maintain a strict privacy firewall, and I ensure all home security and maintenance routines are followed to the letter. My goal is to leave your home cleaner than I found it, providing clear, reliable updates (including photo and video) so you can travel with absolute peace of mind.

I make sure they are well cared for and receive plenty of love and attention. I approach every dog with a calm demeanor, moving at a pace that feels comfortable for them so they can feel safe, relaxed, and at ease in my care.
“Zoe is great! Our dog Jackson is high energy and can be difficult, but Zoe handles him confidently and with care. We feel comfortable going out of town knowing that Zoe will check on Jackson while we are away.”
“Sofia had great communication and updated me during every visit she had with my pug. Even though my dog can be stubborn when it comes to eating, she always made sure he ate and was taken care of.”

About: A former UC Davis graduate. I’ve taken care of dogs all my life. I’m a dependable and attentive pet sitter who focuses on creating a calm, low-stress experience tailored to each animal’s personality and routine. I’m especially skilled at reading behavior cues, helping shy or anxious pets feel comfortable, and maintaining consistency with feeding, cleaning, and enrichment. My background in structured, fast-paced environments has made me highly organized and reliable, so pet owners can trust that every detail will be handled with care and responsibility I’m currently free during the work week most times of the day. I also have availability on weekends on a need to need basis. I’m ready and willing to spend as much time as your pets need. About: Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read my profile! Now a little bit about me and the care I provide for my clients. I come from a long line of dog lovers. I was raised with pups in the home, and they were a beloved part of our family. Like myself, many family members are in the business of caring for pups in one way or another. I have been professionally taking care of pups on a full-time basis since I retired from teaching in 2020. I have worked with many breeds and specialize in small to medium dogs. I have worked with many pups who are elderly, have anxiety or need medication. Many of my clients are regulars and their pups’ become friends and have fun socializing here. Occasionally, some of my clients prefer to keep their pups separated, particularly if they are elderly, anxious and not social. I have plenty of space and can create secure sections, each with quiet den areas where pups can have their space, yet still be near me and feel safe. In addition, I use soft music to help calm and sooth pups throughout the day. For active dogs that love to play I have a long corridor which is great for indoor fetch! I also have a beautiful path behind my home where we go for long walks. The park is only a short ten-minute walk and I utilize it often. Sometimes I take my pups out for a field trip, and we get a “pup cup” at Starbucks and/or walk around the UCD Arboretum. Safety is my first priority! So, all dogs must be up to date with all their immunizations and flea/tic treatments! If you have any questions, please feel free to text me. I would be happy to set up a meet & greet with you and your fur baby to discuss your needs and any concerns. I have excellent reviews and references and am eager to serve you! Warmly, Ann *** Please note: For whichever Rover sitter, boarder, or walker you select, Rover takes out 20% of their income and 100% of the booking fees. I board pups and other pets full-time. I work/school from home so I have plenty of time to walk, play and snuggle. Sometimes we do doggy field trips. We get pup cups and then go to the arboretum or parks. I work with clients to maintain routnines and make our guests feel safe and at home. Dogs are out and about but are crated during transition times or when I need to run out to keep them safe. We take plenty of pics and videos. Communication is key.
“Wenchi did a great job walking Rio for the first time. He isn't used to strangers or being left alone for a long time. Wenchi was very patient and kind in coaxing him out of the house for his walk. I loved the communication with her and the photos which gave me assurance that he wasn't unusually stressed with this situation. I would definitely use her again to walk Rio.”
