I worked as a veterinary assistant for three years, so I'm comfortable with animals of all ages and I'm capable of administering medications. I also have experience taking care of a range of exotic animals from working at an animal sanctuary. As someone who works from home, I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule! About: Animals have been at the heart of my life for as long as I can remember. Raised on a farm and on a pre-vet track from a young age, I’ve spent decades caring for animals of all kinds—from house pets to livestock to wildlife. Starting at 14, I volunteered in local vet clinics and wildlife rehab centers, gaining hands-on experience with everything from cats and dogs to peacocks, horses, goats, snakes, fish, birds, and cattle. At UC Davis, I deepened my care skills while working at the world-renowned Vet Hospital, tending to cats and dogs during the swing shift. I also worked with campus goats, pigs, sheep, fish, cattle, and horses—and even fostered cats for the hospital. Now in my 30s, I’m an education professional and dedicated pet mom to both cats and dogs. I continue to care for friends’ and neighbors’ pets with the same compassion, attention, and responsibility that’s guided me my whole life. I’m certified in Cat & Dog CPR & First Aid, and Infant, Child, and Adult CPR/AED/First Aid, and have emergency care experience with animals large and small. Please note that at this time, we are seeking families whose pets are comfortable around toddlers and babies. I have a fully fenced yard, and a park just around the corner from my house for those whose furry friends enjoy a stretch, walk, or playtime! I am comfortable using a crate, and we have plenty of floor room in the house (carpet and laminate) for them to lay down if they're not crate trained. We do not allow dogs on the furniture. Cats are allowed to wander the house. We are more than happy to put up child gates to keep your furry family member in certain areas of the house if they're prone to getting into things (such as stuffed animals for the kiddos... I mean really, a lot of doggie toys these days look so similar! I'd understand the misconception. lol) We're not afraid to be firm but kind if your family member needs set boundaries.

About: Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read my profile! Now a little bit about me and the care I provide for my clients. I come from a long line of dog lovers. I was raised with pups in the home, and they were a beloved part of our family. Like myself, many family members are in the business of caring for pups in one way or another. I have been professionally taking care of pups on a full-time basis since I retired from teaching in 2020. I have worked with many breeds and specialize in small to medium dogs. I have worked with many pups who are elderly, have anxiety or need medication. Many of my clients are regulars and their pups’ become friends and have fun socializing here. Occasionally, some of my clients prefer to keep their pups separated, particularly if they are elderly, anxious and not social. I have plenty of space and can create secure sections, each with quiet den areas where pups can have their space, yet still be near me and feel safe. In addition, I use soft music to help calm and sooth pups throughout the day. For active dogs that love to play I have a long corridor which is great for indoor fetch! I also have a beautiful path behind my home where we go for long walks. The park is only a short ten-minute walk and I utilize it often. Sometimes I take my pups out for a field trip, and we get a “pup cup” at Starbucks and/or walk around the UCD Arboretum. Safety is my first priority! I work with clients to maintain routnines and make our guests feel safe and at home. Dogs are out and about but are crated during transition times or when I need to run out to the store to keep them safe. We take plenty of pics and videos. Communication is key.

About: **I don't charge for additional pets!! I’ve always been an animal enthusiast growing up in the country I did whatever I could to be around animals constantly. In our home we had four dogs, two hamsters, a corn snake, a half-blind horse, countless hermit crabs, and a parakeet. There is truly no animal I don't love and won't do my best to care for. Growing up with these animals I've had the privilege to be there when they were puppies/kittens/babies all the way through the end of their life, so I have extensive experience with care in every life stage. I've carried that love and passion with me into adulthood. As an adult I've worked for a year as a kennel technician at a humane society enriching, socializing, training, and advocating for dogs, cats, and small animals. I also regularly volunteer time at humane societies when I can and regularly foster cats, to date I've successfully fostered over 10 cats who are now all in happy homes. Through fostering I've experienced some harder care cases. Including fostering 3 week old sick kittens requiring syringe feedings, multiple medications, and detailed weight tracking. I've also had the privilege of fostering a hospice case who required food, liquid, and medication administration through an e-tube along with extensive monitoring. No matter what kind of care your pet needs I will do my best to ensure they receive the love, respect, and attention they deserve. I look forward to helping you and your furry (and maybe scaly) family members! I'm avaliable for drop-ins, boarding, and walking M-F after 2:30 PM! I can also do breakfast drop-ins during the week between 5:00-5:30 AM, or earlier if need be. I'm open and available most weekends for all pet care, I keep my schedule updated 3 months out! If you want to book further than 3 months just send me a message and I'm happy to work with you! My top priority is making sure your pet feels comfortable and safe. Each visit, walk, or stay is individual and entirely customizable for your pet. To ensure your pet receives the best care I require an initial meet and greet, or phone call so we can discuss what the ideal care looks like. I prioritize customizable care, communication, and enrichment to make sure your pet has the best 'staycation' ever!

Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and love there fur babies.I worked with dogs that need medical care and strict diets and love to work with every kind. I'll have plenty of time to play love and care for your fur babies! I'm available from Monday through Friday from 8am to 10pm sometimes the weekends I have a fenced yard and plenty of room to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your dog if it is very necessary.
