“My dog enjoyed walking with Nikki!!”

“Esmerilda took great care of Finn. Prompt and very good communication. She was very patient and caring. The feedback I received from Finns dog friend's were all positive. I would highly recommend Esmerilda on any dog services.”

About: Hello! I have taken care of dogs since 2009 with various experiences with my personal pets and many other family members pets. My uncle used to be a K9 police dog trainer and has many personal pets. Through him, i've been exposed to various sizes, mentalities, and activity limits. My experiences with big dogs like Great Danes and intelligent dogs like Belgian Malinois give me the confidence to handle any pets! I also have experienced dogs that can be easily spooked and might produce scary looking body language, allowing me to handle de-escalation while respecting the pet. Overall, I have seen all types of dogs and am equipped to give your pets a fun experience! I am currently working a day shift on UC Davis campus but can be available after 4:30pm on weekdays and anytime works on the weekends! I can take care of pets in a clients home by providing treats if allowed and using the environment of the clients home to entertain their pet. I won't be able to care for pets in my own because I don't have proper space, but I can walk them around the neighborhood!

About: I’ve taken care of dog for with more than 5 years. I personally have two dogs in the house which are 10 lbs and 30 lbs. I’ve successfully trained 3 puppies in the past 5 years and also fostered before for a rescue. I’ve also been providing boarding service for my friends with at least 6 dogs, pictures are included in my profile. All the dogs will be separated when I’m out, and basic training can be provided if owner requests. I’ve successfully taking care of 5 dogs at one time including two puppies. I’m a recent graduate at UC Davis, and currently WFH all day. I will walk dogs twice a day and give them bathroom break at least 4-5 times every day. I have a fenced yard in the house. All the dogs will be separated when I’m not at home. For safety reasons, dogs will stay in the crate when humans are not around but they can be on furniture once humans are presented.

“Thank you, Jenna! Our spicy pup, Lou, was well taken care of on his walk today! We really appreciated Jenna’s thorough notes. We’ll definitely be reaching out to Jenna to walk Lou again :)”

“I can’t give her enough stars! Maddie was very professional, met me the night before, interacted with my dog and spent the full 30 min with him for both of the walks. I highly recommend her.”

About: Hi! My name is Tenaya and I'm currently a graduate student at UC Davis. I grew up around animals and now I have a cat named Gnocchi. I worked as a veterinary assistant for three years, so I'm comfortable with animals of all ages and I'm capable of administering medications. I also have experience taking care of a range of exotic animals from working at an animal sanctuary. As a student, I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule! I can usually create availability during the day, depending on your pet's needs. As someone who has worked with animals for several years, I understand that each pet is unique and may require special care and attention. I really love animals and will do my best to care for your pet as you would!

About: I've always been an animal lover and hope to pursue veterinary medicine as a career. I've spent a lot of time around dogs and cats, and consider myself very qualified to handle people's pets. I'm home from college from the summer and have ample time on my hands, which gives me plenty of flexibility to schedule time to take care of your pets! I have one small friendly dog that mostly stays inside (she's very lazy)and a large fenced in yard. I always watch my dog when I take her out to go to the bathroom just in case she somehow tries to escape or attempts to eat something she shouldn't be.

About: I grew up around dogs, and always knew I would want one of my own. I finally adopted my beagle rescue mix, Busy, three years ago! Being a dog mom has deepened my love for all creatures and I value any time I get to spend with all types of furry friends! I have experience with puppy training, administering medications, senior care, and more :) I am a graduate student at UCD currently on summer break! My research schedule is very flexible so I would love to come care for your puppy anytime of day :) I am happy to come take your dog for a mini adventure, hang out at your house, or anything in between! If your dog would enjoy a furry friend, my dog can tag along or she can stay at home. I have experience with crate training dogs, walking/playing with reactive dogs, puppies, and elderly dogs.

“Lucy was great! Super communicative and reliable and helpful took my dog for some nice long walks.”

About: There's something about cats and small dogs that just resonate. I have lived with cats, pigeons, parakeets, a pittie mix, and 2 small dogs in my home, and immediately adopted my own cat once I moved out. That being said, I vibe the strongest with cat energy (chihuahuas and other small dogs are cats, fight me). I've been pet sitting across multiple platforms since I was 15 (now 31). If your pet is looking for a friend with a cozy vibe, I'm their gal :) I spend most of my time writing and making art at home, so we will have have plenty of time to bond. I will make sure they feel like someone loving and safe is still around while you are on your trip away. Excepting the other Rover sits, I work on a contract and freelance schedule, so my schedule is relatively flexible. Shoot me a message and let's see if we can make it work. Even if I'm fully booked, go ahead and reach out and I'll see if I can squeeze you in. I tend to bond easily with animals since my priority is keeping each pet comfortable in their own routine and home. I'm really not in a rush to get myself on their good side, and they appreciate that. I follow their lead and it works!

About: I’ve helped friends with their dogs here and there—walking, pet-sitting, and just hanging out with them while their owners were away. One was an older Lab who needed a little extra care, and another was super high-energy and loved long walks. I’m not a pro, but I’m responsible, easygoing, and I really love being around animals. I try to make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and get plenty of attention. I’m home for the summer and have a pretty flexible schedule, so I’m able to fit pet care into my day easily. Whether it’s morning walks, afternoon check-ins, or evening visits, I can make it work! I can’t host pets at my place because a couple of my family members are allergic, but I’m more than happy to take care of them in their own home where they’re most comfortable. I know how important it is to keep their routine and space feeling normal while you’re away. I’ll make sure they’re safe, relaxed, and get lots of attention.

About: I have my own senior dog at home that doesn't do well with children or big dogs, so I know how important it is to pay attention when caring for a reactive dog. Currently, I'm a PhD candidate in ecology working with lizards and other wildlife. I got my BS in Animal Science at Cal Poly and completed all of the pre-veterinary requirements, although I ultimately fell in love with the research path instead. I've always been very observant and good at anticipating what my own pets need to be comfortable and happy and I'd love to help your pet feel more relaxed while you're gone. I'm currently a graduate student with a fairly flexible schedule, since I work from home when I'm not teaching to spend time with my own needy dog. I won't be offering boarding, as my own dog isn't the most social with other dogs. I'm happy to visit your home or take your dog on walks around the neighborhood.

“Hannah is easy to communicate, punctual, and friendly. My dog enjoyed the walk with her!”

“Rebekah was great with Nialls and Charlie. She walked them for me weekdays while I was house sitting (rain or shine). I wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again.”

“Zoe does a great job walking Beth. Beth is a very high energy Blue Heeler that is Deaf. Zoe is responsive to my requests with the areas that Beth needs to work on to help her navigate without the ability to hear.”

“She's amazing and professional. I had to stay one more day in Peru , and TATE was there to help. I cannot put into words how great she is. ”

About: I have been pet sitting and dog walking for 5 years now. I also fostered and trained shelter dogs throughout college. I offer traditional dog walking, training walks for dogs who need to start or build consistency with training (this helps your dog make steady progress learning loose leash walking, settling, reactivity, recall, etc). I also offer adventure walks where I take the dog to local trails and parks for some new scents and views! When I adopted my own dog two years ago, finding care for him was very difficult with his behavioral issues. He’s made huge progress, and I’d love to help other pet owners in their journey! I have an extremely flexible weekday schedule, I do not have very many obligations so I am available quite often. Message me for more details! I am versed in pet dog training, and place an emphasis on safety for everyone, including consistent reading of canine body language, proactive safety measures, and attention to detail. I’ve cared for many dogs with varying needs, so I am easily adaptable but safety always remains a priority.

“Job is a kind, patient person and he truly does love animals.”

About: I have babysat my family member’s pets for years now. I love animals, I have 2 dogs of my own who I love dearly. Unfortunately they do not live with me at the moment since I moved to Davis from school. So i find comfort in all the pets that I take care of :) My Chihuahua is 12 years olds and my Pomeranian mix is 3 years old. I had taken in my Pomeranian mix puppy from someone I know because they couldn’t care for her like she should be and have had her for a year now. Animals have a special place in my heart and I would love to care and love all of them like I’ve known them for years. We can workout a schedule and I could go around what your schedule is like. I do have another job, but I will always be willing to figure things out to helps with both our schedules. I take my pets on walks or adventure to the lake or the park. I feed them 3 times a day and play with them whenever they want to. Right now they currently don’t live with me because I moved down here for school, but that is their usually routine at home. For my clients I do pop in and out to feed and take out their pets and babysit them whenever they are out of town or busy. I make sure the pets are happy and healthy when I check up on them.

“Elise would be a great sitter. She is playful with our dogs and is always welcomed by them when she visits. Their wagging tails and excitement to "go for a walk" is always a fun time. She brushes their fur and plays catch with them for long periods of time in-between cuddling and walks. Elise is great with dogs. She's been a friend to our fur-babies for.over almost 15 years. We have two dogs (Sequoia who turned 15 & Juniper who is 5 years old) who have benefited from the care and Love Elise has shown them. Thanks for your time. Woof! -Jaime”

South Cape dog parents share their Rover experiences
Esmiralda was fantastic. She is very professional, reliable, and certainly was liked by Chloe. I would highly recommend her.

Nora is so great! Really responsive and cares a lot about the dog she’s walking. Takes cute pictures too!

My dog is very anxious and was super nervous to have a stranger in his house, but Joon went above and beyond to make sure he felt comfortable ❤️

Emma was amazing with my dog, Molly! She was reliable, kind, and clearly loves animals. Molly warmed up to her right away, and I loved getting photos and updates after each walk. Emma went above and beyond to make sure Molly was happy and well cared for. I highly recommend her!

Michaelle was so great with our pups. She was very communicative and responsive. She was prompt and thorough in her messages. Would absolutely use her again to walk our pups while we are out of town.

Rachel arrived on time and took the dogs on a nice walk through the neighborhood parks, stopped at water fountains so they could hydrate and made sure they got a good walk in. She was kind and courteous and we look forward to more dog walks with Rachel

Orin was great with Lily - came on time, was generous with the playtime, and Lily was very happy. We’d gladly recommend her as a dog walker!

I have a dog that is leash reactive to other dogs and Kira was very understanding and willing to do a walk together first to learn the commands and management tricks I use with my dog. Kira clearly loves dogs and is very tuned into every aspect of dog care. Kira asked lots of questions and was dedicated to learning everything possible to best care for my pup!
