âThis was my first time ever using Rover or hiring a dog walker and Nora was AMAZING!! She was so wonderful with my senior lab and flexible with her needs. Thank you for taking such great care of her while I was away!â

âShe is an amazing pet sitter! She is great with my dog, is very reliable, and I always know that my dog is safe with her and having fun! She walks my dog, throws the ball for her and lets her get energy out and use the bathroom while Iâm at work and I always know sheâs in good hands. Sheâs great at communication and is really flexible about what time she comes over. I highly recommend her!!â

About: When I was 9, I got my first dog, and that is how I started to be interested in being a vet and take care of dogs. Iâm a UCD Animal Science student. My class schedule is not very busy other than Thursdays for this quarter, so I will be home most of the time other than that. I have 3 roommates (2 are also Animal Science students) who also loves animals and knows how to take care of them and have experiences with pets. There will usually be at least 1-2 person at home always. We have plenty of space for your pet to run around in the house, and a yard which we can be taking the dog out for potty breaks.
âEsmerilda has been great. Sheâs one of my regulars and I would highly recommend her. Energetic, great personality and great w animals esp my âspecial needsâ Bow:)!â
About: I grew up on a farm and have been taking care of pets for family and friends for almost a decade! Including: dogs (big and small), and cats (old and young). I can feed and water your pets, administer medicine, clean up after them, and provide loving attention and play. I currently have 2 precious cats and would treat yours as if they were one of my own. I work part-time, and with advanced noticed I can choose my workdays/work from home, so I have plenty of time to care for your pets! I can care for your pets in your home/yard. Iâm comfortable with pets that free roam the house/yard as well as with those who need to be crated and let out or taken on walks.
About: I have taken care of dogs for neighbors and friends consistently for the last seven years ranging from feeding and taking them out once a day to staying at their house for multiple weeks caring for large and small dogs. I volunteered at a humane society for three years where I worked mostly with walking, entertaining, and caring for dogs. Because of this I have a lot of experience with dogs of different temperaments and have learned how to get dogs out of sketchy situations with other dogs in public. I am currently working part time from 10am - 2pm on Tue/Thur and have class most evenings. Anytime outside of these times can work with my schedule! I am comfortable walking large dogs in public, keeping an eye on them in a pool or enclosed yard, as well as crating them if required. I have a standard sedan and am comfortable taking dogs to parks for walks as well. If I were to transport dogs I would be willing to take whatever measures to assure the dogs safety in the car, which would be up to the owner.
About: I have been taking care of my two dogs since I was 15 years old, a small Yorkshire poodle and a medium-sized schnauzer mix. Neighbors in my hometown of Los Angeles have also relied on me to care for their dogs and cats when they are away for holiday vacations. My experience includes taking care of a 16-year-old dog named Pasha for several days, as well as caring for multiple cats in different households. This included looking after a pair of cats in one home and administering anxiety medication to another cat over a five-day period. I am a student at UC Davis and have a flexible schedule between classes and extracurricular activities, which allows me to spend plenty of time caring for pets. I am available throughout the day for walks, feeding, and check-ins, and I am also happy to help after classes, including longer visits or overnight stays if needed. I always ask clients for a list of responsibilities, so I know exactly what their pets need. I make sure to follow feeding schedules, spend time playing with and giving attention to the pets, and provide any care they require. Iâm also happy to help keep the home tidy, like sweeping up leftover kitty litter, to make things easier for the owners.
About: With over 20 years of dedicated pet experience, I have developed a deep understanding and profound love for animals of all kinds. My journey began with adopting my first dog, a lively mixed breed, which ignited my passion for animal welfare. Over the years, my home has been a sanctuary for a variety of pets including dogs, cats, rabbits and even reptiles (upon occasion). I work from home most of the week, so I have a flexible schedule to meet the needs of other working professionals that are looking for a reliable, passionate pet sitter to take their fur babies on walks (or runs) while keeping them within their familiar environment. Unfortunately, at this time, I am unable to welcome any pets in my house. I have fur babies of my own that I do not wish to upset their home life.

About: I have grown up with my own puppy who I have taken care of and trained myself for 11 years! I know how to read body language and how to take care of both young and elderly dogs! I am taking classes right now but I am free most days of the week to watch or visit dogs. I spend most of my time studying/doing homework so I can definitely fit in playing with some puppies! I have my own private room that I can keep dogs in and we have a walking area right behind my apartment for walks/bathroom/enrichment time!
About: I have taken care of my dog (standard poodle) for 10 years from a puppy to his elder years. I trained him. This past year he got sick due to incorrect medication prescription and I nursed him back to health, including tube feeding and administering oral medication. I am comfortable now taking care of sick dogs. I have taken care of various dog breeds from poodles to pit bulls. My dog lives back home with my parents in the Bay Area, so dont worry about any interaction if thatâs not what you want. Iâm currently a student and this is my only job so I have plenty of time to watch your pet. I also love to walk and try to get over 12k steps a day so I will be sure to exercise your pet enough. I understand that pets are family and will do my best to ensure safety at all times. I try not to overwhelm them, especially not before familiarizing myself with their temperament.

About: I am currently a PhD and most of time is spent reading and writing. I have a very flexible schedule. I took a break from Rover over the summer because I traveled extensively for my research so there wasnât much flexibility in my schedule. If you live over 15 miles away from my home, there will be a surcharge of $5 per day to accommodate for gas. I have cared for and grown up with large breeds of dogs, as well as breeds known to be aggressive. I was 18 when I first dog sat professionally, so I have ten years of experience. There has never been a point in my life where I havenât owned a dog and I have worked with several breeds. Iâll gladly walk, play with, brush and love your dog. Iâm also glad to work with dogs who may be more afraid of strangers and take the time with you, the owner, to build a relationship with your dog. Then once youâre comfortable, you can leave your dog alone in my care. I really enjoy bonding with more timid dogs. I graduated with a bachelors degree in Animal Biology and am now a PhD student at UC Davis studying entomology. Iâm more than happy to stay in your home and care for your dog (and any other animals or plants you may have ) while you are gone, and I will make the necessary changes to my schedule to make sure your dog is taken outside every four to six hours. Iâm also extremely comfortable working with reptiles, cats, horses and some other farm/livestock animals; so I can house sit any other pets you may have. Please contact me with if youâre interested in me as a sitter or walker, or with any questions or concerns! I am PhD student at UC Davis and I make my own schedule. I no longer take courses, but I am a teaching assistant. My schedule is generally very flexible. Sittings that are over 15 miles from house will have a $5 surcharge per day to compensate for gas. I care for pets by paying very close to their body language and other behaviors which I have significant experience with. By doing so, I am able to meet your pets needs while keeping them comfortable. I also strictly adhere to the routine set my the owner to keep your pet as relaxed as possible. I will also speak with owners regarding a petâs walking behavior/preferences and their behavior around other animals before taking the pet outside of the home. If a owner requests that I take their dog to the dog park, I will also pay very close attention to your dogâs behavior as well as the behavior of other dogâs at the park. I will do everything to the best of my ability to keep you pet safe.

âEmme was wonderful! Our heeler can be temperamental sometimes, but Emme came over a few days before and met her, and Piper loved her! She sent pictures and was very communicative! We will definitely be using her again!!â

âMichelle is fantastic! My dog Blu always has a great time on their walks and is nice and calm when I get home. I work often and my schedule is not always consistent and Michelle was very accommodating to that. It's nice knowing that Blu is out getting the attention he needs on my longer work days. And Michelle was great about leaving some snacks out to settle him for the rest of the day. Thank you Michelle!â
