“Nora is a very trustworthy and compassionate individual. When it comes to working, she tends to do whatever it takes to make sure she gets the full job done. She tends not to find ways out of a commitment once she has already committed. I’ve seen her interact with her family dog, Kota, and she always lets him cuddle up!”
“She took extra time to get to know my fur babies, and all their weird needs (trust me they’re weird) and was so kind and caring towards them. 10/10 recommendation :)”
“Morgaine trained the first dog I had and he had excellent manners. She is now working with my second dog who is just a year. My dog gets an energetic outdoor experience with consistent behavioral expectations and consistent reinforcement. Morgaine loves animals and has been walking my dogs for years. Carlee A.”
“Miranda has taken care of my dog Luna multiple times now, once for as long as 2 weeks. She is communicative, detail oriented, and extremely good with animals. Luna loves her and is always very excited to see her. Luna has some health conditions that make feeding a very involved process, and I rest easy knowing that she will be well cared for. Miranda never takes any shortcuts, and prioritizes the health and happiness of her charges. I can tell she truly cares about every animal she interacts with. I can't recommend her enough!”
About: I love caring for rescue dogs and interacting with pets of all backgrounds. I have lived with all types of dogs since I was young (puppies, seniors, rescues, purebreds, cripples, injured/sick pups). I also have experience with emergency treatment and successfully introducing cats and dogs! I would be thrilled to help you with your pet care responsibilities. I’m a graduate student enrolled in classes part-time with flexible working hours so I am able to check in daily for about 20-60 minutes on family member’s pets. In my home, I make sure my pets are entertained and my dogs have quality time outdoors in a fenced-in yard. I also stay consistent with meals, potty breaks, walks, and grooming.
“Jenna was a great communicator, on time, and respectful. She made sure to read through Ellie’s care instructions prior to coming. Ellie loved her walk with her. I would love to use Jenna again!”
“Esmerilda did a wonderful job watching our dog, Misty, who is anxious and full of energy and difficult to handle. She gave us very detailed reports of each of her visits with lots of pictures. She introduced some new methods for Misty’s diet and care, she brushed her and dried her off after every walk during a big rain storm, and even ran the vacuum cleaner before she left. We’d had a bad experience with our last sitter (not from Rover) and were anxious about leaving our dog and our home in someone else’s hands, but she totally allayed those fears. I felt comfortable on my trip knowing my dog was in such good hands. She is knowledgeable and passionate and responsible- I highly recommend her!”
“Kaelin has been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. She has cared for our cat and dog during vacations for many years. Both animals adore her and get very excited when they see her. Kaelin is very conscientious and reliable. Do not hesitate to hire her for your pet sitting needs.”
“Maddie came to meet my pet family (two dogs and two cats). She knew just what do with my senior dogs. They were drawn to her immediately. She did a great job with the walk, too. Looking forward to having her back soon!”
About: I am currently an Animal Science student at UC Davis and have over 7 years of working with over twenty species of animals including reptiles, amphibians, birds, and both exotic and domestic mammals. I currently work at the UC Davis Campus Veterinary Services and have previously worked at the UCD Veterinary Rehab Center, and San Francisco Zoo in their Animal Resource Center (where I have learned how to clean enclosures, prepare diets, properly handle, and train over twenty species of exotic animals). Last summer I worked as a PetsHotel associate in PetSmart where I was responsible for monitoring Doggy Day Camp with an average of 20 dogs per group, caring for boarding dogs, leading individual sessions with dogs, and caring for boarding cats. Not only do I have extensive first-hand experience with pet care, but I also have research experience involving animal behavior, training in raptor handling, and have been a dog owner my entire life. I currently have two cats of my own and 15 other pets (all insects, reptiles, and amphibians)! I am available on T/W/Thr before 11:30am and after 12:40pm, and M/F/Sat/Sun all day! I have a very flexible schedule so I can dedicate a lot of time to your pets. Safety and trust are two of the most important things to me when caring for pets. For a pet to feel safe, I always take my time when greeting them for the first time, getting down to their level, and not making any sudden sounds or movements that may come across as a threat to the pet. This ensures an initial formation of trust between me and the pet. Following pet parent instructions is also essential and I make sure to be aware of the pet's needs and their preferred routine so I can make them feel as comfortable as possible. Additionally, I am a very vigilant person and am always keeping an eye on the pet I am caring for, to ensure their environment is safe and free of any hazards and the pet continues to be healthy and happy.
About: I've taken care of dogs and cats for more than 20 years. When I was younger, I rescued abused and neglected dogs back in Ukraine. Since then, I have had cats and dogs in Ukraine until I escaped the war in April 2022. Now that I am in the US, I often take care of the dogs and cats of my host families. I hope to take care of your pets as well! I have a flexible schedule and can work on most days, including weekends and holidays. On weekdays, I may need to step out to drop off and pick up my daughter from school. Every day, I walk, feed and clean up after my host family's two cats and one dog. I will ensure that the client's pets are safe and will be attentive to any special needs. Since I have taken care of many pets before, I know what I need to be aware of. I will also make sure to leave the client's house in the same condition as it was when they have left.

“Kendall and I both foster with the same dog rescue. She is a great person and is wonderful with all animals. I have seen her do wonders bringing very sick dogs back to health. I would encourage anyone to use her services for their pet needs ...or their real estate needs!! She did a great job selling our home also!! Lol. I know they use all their extra time and money to save dogs, so you can feel good knowing your pet watching fee is going towards helping other dogs in need ;)”
“Sammie has been our dog sitter for 8yrs. She is warm and gentle and very attentive to our fur baby's needs. Our pup runs into her home when we visit. Highly recommended!”
“Noel did a great job dropping in to look after our pets while we were away. She was very kind, considerate, and organized, and she gave us frequent and generous updates through the Rover cards. Even at the risk of putting her in higher demand, I would highly recommend her!”
“She is very responsible and professional. I trust her with my cat all the time, and she’s raised many animals in her life. She’s a great mom to her little fur babies! She knows a lot about animals and their needs.”
“Hallie is a very attentive, helpful pet sitter. She is great at following our senior doggies feeding schedule, helps take them to her house for easier pet sitting& She is very responsive and always answers texts or calls within a Timely manner, she also is great at picking up the house for us, especially when she knows we have had a long or stressful day. She also helps get a jump start on our senior dogs’ schedules so That everything flows easier without her there! We highly recommend her for all pet needs”
“Karen is the best when it comes to being a loving pet caregiver she loves all animals and when she decided her career path was going to be with animals she went vegan because she didn’t want to eat what she was going to be saving. My pets love her they get excited when she sees her and I don’t think I’ve met anyone who loves and cares for animals they way Karen does.”
“Madison was wonderful! On-time, responsible, and caring. She asked thoughtful questions, followed through on any requests, and clearly had our pup’s best interests in mind. Our dog loved her. Would absolutely book with her again!”
