“She is an amazing pet sitter! She is great with my dog, is very reliable, and I always know that my dog is safe with her and having fun! She walks my dog, throws the ball for her and lets her get energy out and use the bathroom while I’m at work and I always know she’s in good hands. She’s great at communication and is really flexible about what time she comes over. I highly recommend her!!”

“This was my first time ever using Rover or hiring a dog walker and Nora was AMAZING!! She was so wonderful with my senior lab and flexible with her needs. Thank you for taking such great care of her while I was away!”

About: I have grown up with my own puppy who I have taken care of and trained myself for 11 years! I know how to read body language and how to take care of both young and elderly dogs! I am taking classes right now but I am free most days of the week to watch or visit dogs. I spend most of my time studying/doing homework so I can definitely fit in playing with some puppies! I have my own private room that I can keep dogs in and we have a walking area right behind my apartment for walks/bathroom/enrichment time!
About: Hi! I’m Michelle—a lifelong pet pawrent and experienced dog sitter. I’m currently between jobs and happily spending my time doing what I love most—caring for dogs. Welcome to my profile—feel free to browse my 5-star reviews, and I look forward to connecting with you and your furry friends! I'm currently between jobs and have flexible availability for you and your pets needs, whatever they may be. I am available both weekdays and weekends. Safety is my number one priority. I am cautious, responsible and follow care instructions to a tee. While staying in other people's homes, I am tidy and respectful of the space.
About: When I was 9, I got my first dog, and that is how I started to be interested in being a vet and take care of dogs. I’m a UCD Animal Science student. My class schedule is not very busy other than Thursdays for this quarter, so I will be home most of the time other than that. I have 3 roommates (2 are also Animal Science students) who also loves animals and knows how to take care of them and have experiences with pets. There will usually be at least 1-2 person at home always. We have plenty of space for your pet to run around in the house, and a yard which we can be taking the dog out for potty breaks.
About: I have taken care of dogs for neighbors and friends consistently for the last seven years ranging from feeding and taking them out once a day to staying at their house for multiple weeks caring for large and small dogs. I volunteered at a humane society for three years where I worked mostly with walking, entertaining, and caring for dogs. Because of this I have a lot of experience with dogs of different temperaments and have learned how to get dogs out of sketchy situations with other dogs in public. I am currently working part time from 10am - 2pm on Tue/Thur and have class most evenings. Anytime outside of these times can work with my schedule! I am comfortable walking large dogs in public, keeping an eye on them in a pool or enclosed yard, as well as crating them if required. I have a standard sedan and am comfortable taking dogs to parks for walks as well. If I were to transport dogs I would be willing to take whatever measures to assure the dogs safety in the car, which would be up to the owner.

I can give your pet(s) lots of love while you're gone and cater to all their needs; walking, playing, feeding, etc. I am a student but my schedule is very flexible! A lot of my work is done online too, so I can anytime to take care of your pet. If they're lazy I can always do my school work with them on my lap to keep them company! I will always cater to you and your pets needs as you wish. My upmost priority is to keep your pet and myself safe during their time in my care. As a veterinary student with lots of veterinary experience under my belt, your pet will be safe with me!
“Esmerilda took great care of Finn. Prompt and very good communication. She was very patient and caring. The feedback I received from Finns dog friend's were all positive. I would highly recommend Esmerilda on any dog services.”

About: I have been taking care of my two dogs since I was 15 years old, a small Yorkshire poodle and a medium-sized schnauzer mix. Neighbors in my hometown of Los Angeles have also relied on me to care for their dogs and cats when they are away for holiday vacations. My experience includes taking care of a 16-year-old dog named Pasha for several days, as well as caring for multiple cats in different households. This included looking after a pair of cats in one home and administering anxiety medication to another cat over a five-day period. I am a student at UC Davis and have a flexible schedule between classes and extracurricular activities, which allows me to spend plenty of time caring for pets. I am available throughout the day for walks, feeding, and check-ins, and I am also happy to help after classes, including longer visits or overnight stays if needed. I always ask clients for a list of responsibilities, so I know exactly what their pets need. I make sure to follow feeding schedules, spend time playing with and giving attention to the pets, and provide any care they require. I’m also happy to help keep the home tidy, like sweeping up leftover kitty litter, to make things easier for the owners.
About: With over 20 years of dedicated pet experience, I have developed a deep understanding and profound love for animals of all kinds. My journey began with adopting my first dog, a lively mixed breed, which ignited my passion for animal welfare. Over the years, my home has been a sanctuary for a variety of pets including dogs, cats, rabbits and even reptiles (upon occasion). I work from home most of the week, so I have a flexible schedule to meet the needs of other working professionals that are looking for a reliable, passionate pet sitter to take their fur babies on walks (or runs) while keeping them within their familiar environment. Unfortunately, at this time, I am unable to welcome any pets in my house. I have fur babies of my own that I do not wish to upset their home life.
About: I grew up on a farm and have been taking care of pets for family and friends for almost a decade! Including: dogs (big and small), and cats (old and young). I can feed and water your pets, administer medicine, clean up after them, and provide loving attention and play. I currently have 2 precious cats and would treat yours as if they were one of my own. I work part-time, and with advanced noticed I can choose my workdays/work from home, so I have plenty of time to care for your pets! I can care for your pets in your home/yard. I’m comfortable with pets that free roam the house/yard as well as with those who need to be crated and let out or taken on walks.
About: I have taken care of my family's pets over the years they are are away. I have volunteered at Homeward Bound Animal Rescue in the past that has given me the opportunity to walk and interact with animals. I am a retired veteran and UC Davis undergrad who has extensive time on his hands and able to check in on your pets the majority of time to include when students are out of session in the Winter and Summer breaks I have an attentive eye and demeanor to all types of pets who are in need of feeding, walking, brushing, loving and playing. My cat and I go outside for short walks. This is the type of trust that I have set up with animals.
About: Hi, my name is Harper, I am an animal lover and want to thank you for checking out my Rover profile! I have had dogs/service dogs as part of my life since I was a child and I’m comfortable handling all types of dogs. I started pet sitting in college and continued with pet care and dog walking through grad school and beyond! I have cared for dogs and cats in my client’s homes or in my own home, and I have a lot of experience hiking and going on fun adventures with dogs in my care. I have pet sat and worked with dogs of all breeds, such as my neighbors husky-wolf dog, rescues, and chihuahuas! Currently I walk a handful of wonderful pups throughout the week and am excited to meet new dogs and cats through Rover! I only take one dog/cat at a time in my home and only walk one dog at a time. I am interested in getting to know your pet, giving them my full attention, working on any training if needed, and being a positive part of their day! Currently, much of my life is dedicated to pet-care as my long term career goals are aligned in dog training, daycare, and starting a rescue one day! I have regular dogs i care for and walk in the neighborhood, and am still accepting new clients for both weekly walks and any last minute requests! I am a writer, I work from home and set my own hours so I am very available for pets and focused on their well-being during doggy daycare. I have a young neutered cat named Beluga. He is shy at first but then very friendly towards guests 🐶🐈⬛🙆 My apartment is a two bedroom and I have one bedroom I use exclusively for pet-care, so I can also ensure Beluga stays in my room while your pet is in my care, if need be. However, I cannot care for any dogs that are aggressive towards cats.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and I appreciate every minute I have with them and all animals. I’ve created my own dog walking business several years ago and gained lots of experience working with and observing the ways dogs function. I am currently an Undergrad studying animal biology with a focus on veterinary medicine. These days, I am working hard at school but appreciate the time I have with any animal! Besides the occasional study session or family vacation, I am free! I am comfortable crating, feeding, watering or walking any pets! I am happy to help take care of other household chores like watering plants or taking in mail!
About: My family and I have had various pets since I was little, so any pet you may have won’t be an issue for me! I am most experienced in caring for adult cats and dogs. I am currently a full-time psychology student at UC Davis, but my schedule is open Friday-Sunday! I only ask for one day’s notice for house sitting. At the moment, I live in a college apartment with no backyard, and no pets allowed. So I am unable to care for your pet in my home, but I am willing to travel to you for care!
About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was very young, and I've had a dog in my family for as long as I can remember. I began taking care of dogs through dog rescue organizations, which I really enjoyed. I am a fulltime UC Davis student & while home for my summer break I would love to care for your furry family member. I hope to be a person you trust with your fluffy family members! My schedule works well on weekends, as that's when I visit my family. My routine during the weekend is quite flexible, and I have time for doing physical activities (such as dog walking), or things such as dog sitting. In my own home, I have two dogs (one elderly dog, and a 4 year old dog). When I visit them I take them on daily walks, and provide stimulation through playing with toys, teaching them new tricks, and creating a positive and safe environment for them to enjoy. I really enjoy taking care of dogs, especially, while being able to give them the benefit of exercise and comfort. I am very flexible with the services needed of me, I can walk, or babysit dogs (overnight as well if my schedule allows it).
“Michelle was flexible and available to “meet-and-greet” then walk our dogs on pretty short notice. She helped care for our pups on a day when our schedules meant a mid-day walk was needed…THANK YOU!”
About: I have taken care of my dog (standard poodle) for 10 years from a puppy to his elder years. I trained him. This past year he got sick due to incorrect medication prescription and I nursed him back to health, including tube feeding and administering oral medication. I am comfortable now taking care of sick dogs. I have taken care of various dog breeds from poodles to pit bulls. My dog lives back home with my parents in the Bay Area, so dont worry about any interaction if that’s not what you want. I’m currently a student and this is my only job so I have plenty of time to watch your pet. I also love to walk and try to get over 12k steps a day so I will be sure to exercise your pet enough. I understand that pets are family and will do my best to ensure safety at all times. I try not to overwhelm them, especially not before familiarizing myself with their temperament.
About: I have a wide range of dog experience. Puppies, seniors, reactive, and medicated ones. I am fear free certified and have taken many animal classes and animal behavior classes for my animal science major. Outside of a classroom setting I have worked in a shelter where I was a medical volunteer. This required me to work with dogs that I had no insight to a lot of the dog’s background and always stayed aware of their behavior. A lot of the bigger dogs I worked with were abused, abandoned, or injured and having to work with animals that have trauma like that is heartbreaking but also can affect their behavior towards people. That being said I had to work with dogs that were more challenging and more often than not were labeled aggressive but were actually just scared. I have house sat friends and families before and always send an absurd amount of photos to owners of their fur baby (that’s at least what I prefer) and I have no problem communicating any uncertainties, questions, or concerns to an owner. I would rather be safe than sorry always. I do not have a lot of senior care experience but would love to learn. I took care of a few cases where there were medications twice daily but I know there are more extreme senior care situations I won’t pretend to know how to do but I am eager to do my research and learn from the owner! Fairly flexible. I am a student and barista. My barista job is part time with the average shift lasting around 4 hours and the absolute most I could be scheduled for is 7hrs but that rarely happens. It is also a flexible job where I can get easy covers if needed or swap shifts. I take the better safe than sorry approach when caring for any pet whether it is someone else’s or my own. I will do my research on something I am unsure about which is the reason I have learned so much about my own pet’s compromised immune system. This is why I will not be housing any pets myself but I have practiced many different bio security measures and feel confident all animals will be safe and happy. I am a big communicator and if I have concerns questions or uncertainties I will not hesitate to just ask.
