About: When I was 9, I got my first dog, and that is how I started to be interested in being a vet and take care of dogs. I’m a UCD Animal Science student. My class schedule is not very busy other than Thursdays for this quarter, so I will be home most of the time other than that. I have 3 roommates (2 are also Animal Science students) who also loves animals and knows how to take care of them and have experiences with pets. There will usually be at least 1-2 person at home always. We have plenty of space for your pet to run around in the house, and a yard which we can be taking the dog out for potty breaks.

About: UC Davis Agriculture Environmental Education Major, Animal Science Coursework, Livestock Show Projects, UC Davis Hen and Goat Kid Intern, Veterinary, Handling and Care Volunteer Experience, I am currently a full-time student and intern. Both my schedules are very flexible and easy to adjust leaving lots of availability especially over weekends. My living area requires ID to enter and also has security available 24/7 with cameras. Most walking will be done on campus with large areas.

About: I have been caring for dogs for seven years and have three years of experience in fostering and rehabilitating shelter dogs. I am experienced with handling large and small breeds, including Pit Bulls, Mastiffs, and Cane Corsos. About: I have been taking care of my two dogs since I was 15 years old, a small Yorkshire poodle and a medium-sized schnauzer mix. Neighbors in my hometown of Los Angeles have also relied on me to care for their dogs and cats when they are away for holiday vacations. My experience includes taking care of a 16-year-old dog named Pasha for several days, as well as caring for multiple cats in different households. This included looking after a pair of cats in one home and administering anxiety medication to another cat over a five-day period. I am a student at UC Davis and have a flexible schedule between classes and extracurricular activities, which allows me to spend plenty of time caring for pets. I am available throughout the day for walks, feeding, and check-ins, and I am also happy to help after classes, including longer visits or overnight stays if needed. I always ask clients for a list of responsibilities, so I know exactly what their pets need. I make sure to follow feeding schedules, spend time playing with and giving attention to the pets, and provide any care they require. I’m also happy to help keep the home tidy, like sweeping up leftover kitty litter, to make things easier for the owners.

About: I’m currently a 4th year wildlife fish and conservation biology major at University California Davis, on the wildlife health tract. I am hoping to go to veterinary school and have a wide range of experience primarily in horses, dogs and cats, as well as some reptiles such as leopard geckos and chameleons! Ive done veterinary clinics with UC Davis which has given me more in depth knowledge on canine and feline behavior. I am also on their foal team. I have experience with giving injections to both reptiles, cats, and dogs so If your pet needs any extra care, I will happily do so. Im Outgoing and love going on new adventures with my cats and dogs. This past summer, I went to Africa for a zoological and veterinary medicine internship (without either of my pets) but it was an amazing experience. Besides school, I have grown up my whole life with multiple cats, reptiles, and small rodents; and recently in the past eight years have adopted two large dogs (a Berner and a maremma sheep dog). I’m looking forward to meeting your furry family :) I currently have wide gaps between my classes at school, which will allow me to spend a lot of extra time caring for your pet. I currently have a cat of my own who I dedicate all my money and time to. She’s my baby. I currently just have my cat at school who has many toys to keep her occupied when I’m not at home. About: Hi! My name is Tenaya! I grew up around animals and now I have a cat named Gnocchi. I worked as a veterinary assistant for three years, so I'm comfortable with animals of all ages and I'm capable of administering medications. I can also take care of aggressive or anxious dogs, and I’m happy to help reinforce good behavior for pets in training. I also have experience taking care of a range of exotic animals from working at an animal sanctuary. As someone who works from home, I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule! I can usually adjust my work hours to make time for your pet and their needs. I can also generally accept same-day bookings, especially for drop in visits or walks. As someone who has worked with animals for several years, I understand that each pet is unique and may require special care and attention. I really love animals and will do my best to care for your pet as you would!

About: I have a wide range of dog experience. Puppies, seniors, reactive, and medicated ones. I am fear free certified and have taken many animal classes and animal behavior classes for my animal science major. Outside of a classroom setting I have worked in a shelter where I was a medical volunteer. This required me to work with dogs that I had no insight to a lot of the dog’s background and always stayed aware of their behavior. A lot of the bigger dogs I worked with were abused, abandoned, or injured and having to work with animals that have trauma like that is heartbreaking but also can affect their behavior towards people. That being said I had to work with dogs that were more challenging and more often than not were labeled aggressive but were actually just scared. I have house sat friends and families before and always send an absurd amount of photos to owners of their fur baby (that’s at least what I prefer) and I have no problem communicating any uncertainties, questions, or concerns to an owner. I would rather be safe than sorry always. I do not have a lot of senior care experience but would love to learn. I took care of a few cases where there were medications twice daily but I know there are more extreme senior care situations I won’t pretend to know how to do but I am eager to do my research and learn from the owner! Fairly flexible. I am a student and barista. My barista job is part time with the average shift lasting around 4 hours and the absolute most I could be scheduled for is 7hrs but that rarely happens. It is also a flexible job where I can get easy covers if needed or swap shifts. I take the better safe than sorry approach when caring for any pet whether it is someone else’s or my own. I will do my research on something I am unsure about which is the reason I have learned so much about my own pet’s compromised immune system. This is why I will not be housing any pets myself but I have practiced many different bio security measures and feel confident all animals will be safe and happy. I am a big communicator and if I have concerns questions or uncertainties I will not hesitate to just ask.
