I work part time remotely and part time I will need to be in the field. What that means is a lot of the time, I will be in the home, hanging with your furry, feathered, or scaly baby, working on my laptop. During the times I need to work outside of the home, my 19 year old daughter (who has been doing Rover with me since she was 11) will give the best care in my place.

I have a thriving Airbnb business in my home for over a decade, so I have a ton of experience and mindset on home-care: I treat other folks' pets and homes as well as I treat my own. I make it point to keep my clients connected via photos and updates. If I am providing boarding in my home, our 4 year old German Shepherd will love to play with your pup. If I am providing sitting in your home, then my pup will stay home unless requested for a playmate in your home.

I like to know the pets' normal routine, if they have separation anxiety (and what has helped in the past), what rules you have for them (dietary, furniture, etc), and their favorite things.

I always take my cue from the pet parent and the habits of their animals. Typically, I will take dogs on 2 walks in the neighborhood, and 1 big playtime at a dog park or enclosed field (depending if they are fine with other dogs or not). When we are at home, we will snuggle or play in the home-whichever they like!

We are excellent dog, cat, bird, poultry, reptile, and fish caretakers as we have raised most of these, and a few years ago, we had a thriving Rover business taking care of folks' animal babies. We can take care of medications if your pet needs: We have administered medicine to most of the animals on our list, including oral medication for a rooster and injections for a snake. We have had some experience in training our current dog as a service animal. While we have not had the chance to care for farm animals on our own, we love them and have had experience being around them (horses, sheep, goats, cows, pigs, alpaca). Animals, plants, gardens, farms, and home-care are all in our wheelhouse and are the foundations to our lives. If you are looking to have your fur baby stay with us, we have a large home with a fenced backyard. Our German Shepherd loves to play with other dogs, and we take him and our guests to local dog parks or fenced fields to play ball and or frisbee. We take care of our guests exactly how we want our pup to be taken care of!

Bosco had a wonderful time with Akio (oh, and Angela and her family were pretty cool, too). He enjoyed the walks, the dog park, the constant company and wrestling with Akio - the icing on the puppy cake was the crunchy homemade sweet potato treats (I'm jealous myself). 10/10, would book again :)
Angela and her family are true dog lovers and we’re lucky to have them close by to care for our fur baby Chester when we’re out of town.
Angela is a very responsible and friendly sitter. She always cares about every detail of sitting dogs. She will send messages to owners immediately as long as she finds any problem and offers suggestions. I'm willing to rebook her sitting in the future!
Beware before leaving your pet with Angela and don't necessarily believe the sweet photos she sends. We had a terrible experience when we left our 5 year old Golden Retriever in her care for a 10 day stay over Christmas. I thought Angela's home with her adorable kids would be a perfect fit for my dog since Lucy is used to me being in and out of the house all day and having kids around. At first everything seemed great for 5 or 6 days and we got nice photos that looked like our dog was happy. I should have been suspicious since there was little to no text, just a photo, but when I asked how Lucy was doing, she wrote "She's fine!" Nothing could have farther from the truth. The next communication I get is that she can no longer care for my "unmanageable" dog who escaped from her house and attacked one of her chickens who roam freely around her residential property. Additionally, she informs me that Lucy has been peeing and pooping in her house repeatedly for days and she's at the end of her rope and wants to end the stay early. Not once did Angela let me know that she was having any kind of issue with Lucy, who I might add has never been a problem of any kind in any other sitter situation. Anyone with dog sense would know that my dog was in major distress! Thankfully a relative came to the rescue and got Lucy out of this bad situation.
