There were resident cats looking for an escape route but Jeff was on top of the escape plan & thwarted their every attempt to break free; even bringing treats for the cats! About: I have worked at a doggy daycare as well as fostered and volunteered at the shelter. I also have raised dogs my whole life and have three of my own. I have dealt with administering medicine at the doggy daycare and taking care of dogs with needed special care.I also have one cat who I adore!! Fostering is one of my passions in cincinnati when there are animals in need! I work one job only two days a week as well as I am a senior in highschool looking to make money for college as I am about to graduate. About: Hi! My name is Elisheba, along with being a mother to 3 kids, I am also a lover of all things furry and cute. I have been caring for dogs my entire life and have owned American Bulldogs, Boerboels and Frienchies. I frequently dog sit for my friend's furry kids while they are away. About: I grew up in a home full of pets, ranging from dogs and cats to rodents and reptiles, which only encouraged my love for animals. Over the last decade, that interest has lead me to pursue multiple paths in the pet care field. I have learned how to care for many types of animals, how to provide a safe and stress-free environment for pets, and how to keep an open line of communication with pet parents. The greatest takeaway, however, has been building a better understanding of animal behavior and how to interact with everyone at their own pace! At the moment, I am available for two drop-in visits per day, Monday through Sunday, providing loving attention, playtime, feedings, and medication as needed. Your pet's routine and comfort are my priorities! That leads me to focus on leash safety, home safety and security, and food/medication schedules. Regular communication is important to me, as it is the best way to ensure all needs are met.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for about 10 years, mostly my own (now senior) dogs. I also had a dog who was special needs (partially blind and deaf), and unfortunately passed 3 years ago. I am always open to taking care of your pets! I’m normally the most free every day but Wednesday and do not mind spending the night with your pets! I cannot currently house pets in my own home, but I’m always free to stay at your home! I drive, so only staying for a few hours at a time is also okay. Since I have senior dogs, they often “forget” they went outside, so frequent potty breaks (including in the night) is a must. I also give my dogs medication, so if your pup needs oral medication, I am 100% okay with that.

I have 10+ years of experience watching pets for family and neighbors who have peace of mind knowing their pets are loved while they’re away! I’m a full time researcher and master’s student, and am available in the early mornings evenings after 3pm and all day on weekends. My schedule would work best for pets that can be alone for 8 hours during the week while I’m at work. I can be very flexible with a pets individual needs. I love to cuddle and give affection to animals that seek it, but I also understand when space is necessary to build trust and respect. Mia was absolutely amazing with my cockapoo, Ginger! She was reliable, communicative, and took such great care of her while I was away. I’m really glad Anissa was available to watch my cats the following week. Doing two back-to-back trips was stressful, but I knew I was in good hands. We were able to work out some minor kinks in their care, and it made for a smoother visiting time! She was so good with Azula, and I got plenty of pictures (pictures of Mitski were occasionally included, as long as she was behind the washing machine). :)
Sarah took great care of our very shy Charley! He hid from her for the first few visits but they became huge playtime pals on visit #3 and thereafter. In addition to Charley’s fun and games, Sarah watered indoor and outdoor plants, filled our bird feeders and kept a close eye on our home. I just hope we can get Sarah again the next time we travel!

This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
