About: I grew up with dogs and cats around me since I was a baby, and have always held a special place in my heart for them. When my parents, as well as family friends, would go out of town, I would frequently be responsible for feeding the animals, taking them on walks, or simply just keeping them company. My mom is a veteranrian so I have grown up with a great role model on how to treat animals in a safe and respectful way. I am home for 2 months before my study abroad trip, Dec. 21st-Febuary 10th. About: I love all animals, was raised with 4 cats, and have owned cats and dogs most of my entire adult life. For the past couple years I have dropped in and cared for my co-worker's cats when they were out of town. I have also done dog walking for my neighbors. If there is an issue, I make sure to immediately contact the owners with my concerns. -While caring for the animal, I always carefully watch their body language and behavior. I act in a calm manner and try to help animal feel at ease. I make sure to ask the owners about sources for anxiety for their pet, such any fears the animal may have or any areas the animal does not like being touched, so that I am aware. -Before leaving, I always check that the animal is safe and secure, such as crating an animal in needed, putting harmful things out of reach, and double checking doors are locked.

I had the absolute pleasure of having Mikaela stop by and care for my cats while my husband and I were away, and I truly can’t say enough wonderful things about the experience! She spent quality time with them, made sure their food and water were taken care of, gave them plenty of attention and cuddles, and kept me updated on how they were doing. When we arrived home late that evening, it was obvious how happy, relaxed, and well cared for they had been. Knowing they were in such great hands made all the difference and allowed us to enjoy our trip worry free. I will absolutely be booking with Mikaela again!
Sarah took great care of our very shy Charley! He hid from her for the first few visits but they became huge playtime pals on visit #3 and thereafter. In addition to Charley’s fun and games, Sarah watered indoor and outdoor plants, filled our bird feeders and kept a close eye on our home. I just hope we can get Sarah again the next time we travel!

Ashley & Trinity are reliable and super communicative. They were very proactive when one of our cat litter box (automatic) stopped working.
