“Did an excellent job. Very attentive to the pets and the house. Even helped keep mud out of the house when Ohio was becoming a mud pit. Highly recommend and would rebook again in a heartbeat!”

“John took care of our babies while we were gone for a trip! This was the longest we’ve been away from them and our nerves were all over. He eased our anxiety by providing pics multiple times a day and giving us updates on them. We can’t recommend him enough!”

“We love Tonia! She was fantastic with our two treasured pups. She was attentive, loving, and very clean/ organized, which always makes coming home a delight. She made sure to send a lot of pictures so we always knew our babies were well cared for. 100% recommend!”

“Victoria watched our two huskies and did an amazing job. The dogs clearly love her peaceful and fun disposition. She took them on walks, followed our requests for their care, and kept the house in tip top shape. Big Victoria fan!!!”

“Excellent Dogsitter-watched our two dogs in our home. Very responsive and sent updates regarding the dogs while we were away. Made sure the dogs got plenty of exercise. Will be a repeat customer!”

“Sarah took very good care of my Reggie boy. I was very assured to find out she had experience as a Vet Tech and also worked as a groomer in the past. Thank you Sarah for taking such good care of our beloved Reggie?”

“Megan and Lee are awesome! It was so lovely getting to do a meet and greet before we left on our trip. They took wonderful care of the pets and I really enjoyed getting photos of the happy animals while we were away.”

“We booked for a second time with Elizabeth, and much like the first we have nothing but good things to say. Our two boys love her, and she takes very good care of the house while we are away.”

“Emma is amazing! She cared for our girl like she was her own and helped us out on short notice. Our dog has separation anxiety and was right at home with Emma. We hope to have her back again soon.”

“Kylie was so great the entire process! I initially was hesitant to have someone from this app to stay at my place and watch my pup, but she eased all my worries! She was super sweet and knowledgeable and I have already rebooked her for next month 😊”

About: I am caring, flexible and fun! I have professionally worked with dogs and cats of all ages, sizes and temperaments. I have provided medical care to pets who have needed it. I was raised surrounded by many different types of pets and I have been caring for cats and dogs since I was a child. I have a huge heart for all animals. Fun facts about me are that I have a boa constrictor and I have worked on a primate sanctuary. I am a teacher living in Blue Ash and I only work 9am-3pm, so I have a short enough workday to provide your pets with lots of cuddles and attention. I also have a lot of free time on the weekends. I travel too much to have a dog or cat of my own, so this is more than just a job for me. This is an opportunity to enjoy spending time with a furry friend. I am always grateful for a booking :) If you are looking for in-home service, I am a great option as I am willing to help outside of pet care in whatever capacity you may need.
“Ann has always been great with my girls! She watched them a few years ago and has recently returned to keep them again. We will definitely continue using her! She always communicates and sends pictures often!”

“Kylie did an awesome job staying with our pups while we were out of town for the weekend. Quick to respond and thorough communication, provided lots of photos and updates. She was fantastic with our almost 16 year old senior dog who wears a diaper and requires more care, and also played fetch in the backyard with our younger dog. She was tidy and left the house spotless. Would book again!”

“Julie was so helpful to us! She took care of our elderly dog and skittish kitty with as much love as we would have. She provided regular updates and photos and even did light housekeeping for us-that we didn’t expect at all!! I highly recommend Julie for your pets and home.”

“100% recommend Kathleen!! She treats your pet like her own. Very respectful of our home. Took our dog on a walk every night & fed our fish. It’s hard for us to take a vaca & leave our baby at home, Kathleen made the process easy.”

The median cost per night for house sitting in Blue Ash is $45
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Blue Ash
David was professional and easy to talk to. He sent us pictures about once a day so we could see his bonding with the animals. It was a relief to know they were well cared for. He also stayed overnights with them for the three day duration. The house condition when we returned was as if we never left. We will be using David again in the future.

Anna was great! Will absolutely be booking again. My two dogs were happy to see me when i got home, but not too happy-- that's how i can tell they got lots of attention and play time. Anna was conscientious and responsible, it was clear the dogs were fed, happy, and loved. And i think my house looked better than how i left it. It was obvious from the meet and greet that Anna is smart, mature, and takes dog care seriously. Can 100% recommend!

Tarani is beyond excellent with our 3 dogs. We feel confident and relaxed when we go out of town knowing she is staying over with them. They have gotten to know her very well, and miss her when she’s gone. Tarani knows how to deal with difficult situations- our one dog forced her way through our fence to escape and join Tarani and our other dog on a walk. Tarani remains calm and gets everyone to safety. Thank you!!! She’s also determined, even though Lucy refuses to go on walks, she still tries daily to see if she has changed her mind; I know one day Lucy will agree to go! 😅 Tarani we are so lucky that you agree to watch our pets. Thank you!

Daniel was great - excellent communication and great with the pups. One of our pups took an instant liking to him and was asking for belly rubs during the meet and greet. We hired him to house sit during our wedding weekend and he even walked the dogs up to our wedding venue so we could take pictures with them on the day.

Sarah was fantastic! She was very communicative while I was away and sent lots of pictures and updates which I appreciated. Both of my fur babies were happy when I got home and I could see they had been extremely well taken care of. I will definitely book with her again.

My wife and I were exceedingly pleased and impressed with how Meagan and Lee took care of everything we asked them to do. That included managing the various tasks for each of our two dogs. Especially an older one with a schedule of multiple times for meds and careful handling with him going into our backyard having a limp from an injured leg. Beside these things, they were so friendly and easy to communicate with and cooperative from the initial contact, the meet and greet, and the in person contact before we left. An extra appreciated feature is how much and well Meagan provided daily updates and photos and responded courteously without delay to my text messages. And above and beyond, they also cleaned up before they left that was a pleasant thing to return to. We absolutely would want to arrange for Meagan and Lee to be home sitters with our dogs again. Joseph was superb and stayed in constant communication with me and took wonderful care of my German Shepherd (Zak). Zak has some anxiety issues and was nippy on Joseph's first day but he worked through it and rapidly gained Zaks trust and affection I will be coming back for sure on my next trip

Our dogs had such a good time with Scott that they were actually sad to see him go when we returned from our trip! I am sure they will be elated next time they see him. Scott is easygoing, communicative, and has our full trust. We're so glad to have found Scott and know our pups are in good hands with him!

Jeff was great! He was very responsive to communications, completed a meet and greet before booking, and above all took great care of our house and pups while we were away on vacation. He also sent us pics of our pups to let us know that they were ok. I'd highly recommend Jeff for anyone looking for a committed dog sitter! We'll definitely be using him again! Good job Jeff!

Olivia was outstanding! She was everything her resume and past reviews said she was... and more! I have three dogs, 2 that are up in years and 1 that requires medication and monitoring daily. Olivia connected with them right away and she provided excellent care for all of them. She is dependable, reliable and professional,, all the things you look for when you are entrusting someone to care for the pets you love. I had a number of pet routines that she had she had to master to make my pups feel comfortable and she did great,,, she was the only change for them and they connected with her on the join up visit. I could not recommend her more highly.
Yuliia stayed with Rosie for 2 weeks while I was out of town. She was absolutely fantastic. Rosie got lots of walks, spent many nights relaxing on the couch with Yuliia and we got lots of pictures. She also left the house cleaner than I think it was when I left. I would absolutely recommend her for anyone looking for a sitter.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Blue Ash walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Blue Ash maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Blue Ash choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Blue Ash. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
