About Daniel C.
Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
I understand every pet is unique with its own care requirements. I prefer meeting your furry friend before any house-sitting/ dog walk bookings as it is important to develop rapport with your pup. Making them feel safe and comfortable is a priority of mine. Any medical, feeding, training, walk time or general information about your dog or cat is crucial to make it a positive experience both for your pet, for yourself, and for me.
Information Daniel C. would like to know about your pet
Understanding a dogs daily routine is critical to ensuring a successful sitting. Dogs are creatures of habit so understanding how they act on a daily basis is important. I like to know what verbal commands they know so I am consistent in my verbal communication with them as well as any visual communication. I need to know whether they have medication and what time they take it, as well as any quirks that I may need to know about. For example, how they let me know when they need to go to the bathroom or if I need to do something specific to help them go to sleep.
A typical day
My days with dogs consist of plenty of walks with plenty of sniffing opportunities, playtime with their favorite toys or balls, countless pets and lovings, and mentally stimulating training exercises if the owner requests it. Feeding time is a special time because I like to use that as rapport building time.

Pet care experience
I am a huge animal lover and dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have 20+ years of dog caring experience, working with dogs of all sizes, ages, breeds, and activity levels. I have even cared for a handful of cats. Although I never owned any myself, I am very comfortable with caring for them (meow). My specialty is high-energy dogs who love to play, stay active, and who need training. My friends and relatives repeatedly come to me for their dog-sitting needs (I'm the fun uncle) and I couldn't be more thankful since playing and cuddling with my dogs is my idea of a good time. You can trust that your furry friend will receive the best possible care with me, and that they will have a great time while you're away.

Reviews

Daniel was great - excellent communication and great with the pups. One of our pups took an instant liking to him and was asking for belly rubs during the meet and greet. We hired him to house sit during our wedding weekend and he even walked the dogs up to our wedding venue so we could take pictures with them on the day.

Best there is!! Always reliable and always amazing to my puppy!!

Daniel came through on short notice. Enthusiastic, great communicator. I will book with him again in the future.

Daniel recently provided drop-in visits for our daughter's cat Milo while we were on a family hiking trip. His pics of Milo showed how happy Milo was to see him, and when we returned home it was obvious Milo was much more at ease compared to other times we were away. We've also had Daniel pet sit for our dogs in the past, and he really creates a fast bond with them. We're so thankful to have someone as reliable and attentive as Daniel to care for our pets!
