About: I’ve owned cats and dogs over the years. My family raised kittens for years when I was in high-school. I also had a dog of my own for 15 years. I’m always the first to volunteer to care for friends and family members pets when they are out of town or need extra help walking them during the work week. I am currently pet free and miss having furry friends around! I work evenings so I have plenty of time during the day to walk pets and take them on adventures! I’m happy to house sit or keep pets overnight as well, as long as they can be left for 4-6 hours in the evening! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. I have a dog park at my apartment complex, and take lots of daily walks as well. In your home, I make every effort to keep your pet on their normal schedule, including feeding, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and plenty of affection. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I’ll always treat them like one of my own and keep you updated with photos and messages while you’re away. My 14-year-old son is gentle, respectful of animals, and has grown up around both dogs and cats, but all pet care and responsibility is handled by me.

About: Hello! i’ve had pets since 4 years old. I’m a cat owner and have dogs as well. I’ve helped family members/friends with drop ins for their dogs from time to time. I love animals and can handle small to large dogs as well as cats! I am currently working as a full time nanny. Mon-Fri 9-5 hours ish. I’d be willing to make drop ins before and after work. Weekends are free and flexible so i’d be happy to offer assistance on those days! I can assure you your pets will be safely taken care of in your home. Making sure they are given the correct food, medication, assistance, and are staying happy!
About: I have years of experience working with dogs. More recently I’ve dog sat for family friends and my boyfriend is a dog trainer/groomer/boarder so I get to be around dogs a lot! I work from home and structure my schedule intentionally, so I’m able to provide consistent walks, feeding times, and attention throughout the day. I’m available for morning, midday, and evening walks or drop-ins, and when boarding, pets are rarely left alone for long periods. Cleopatra usually takes a little time to warm up to new people, but she gave Kylie the ultimate “belly of trust” upon meeting her, which told me everything I needed to know! My household has gone through a lot of changes this year, so it was especially important to me that Cleopatra had not only her basic needs taken care of, but also the attention, interaction, and affection she needed while I was away. I felt completely confident that she was in great hands. Kylie took the time to thoroughly read through all of my instructions, kept me updated, and was incredibly attentive. I came home to a happy, well-cared-for kitty, a beautifully taken-care-of home, and somehow my house even smelled amazing! Having someone you can genuinely trust with both your pet and your home is invaluable. I contacted Natalie one day before I left and she was so accomodating. She even fit in a meet and greet with me the morning before I left. Natalie did amazing with Kulfi! She was very respectful of his space, and followed all instructions. Thank you for taking such good care of him!
I’m really glad Anissa was available to watch my cats the following week. Doing two back-to-back trips was stressful, but I knew I was in good hands. We were able to work out some minor kinks in their care, and it made for a smoother visiting time! She was so good with Azula, and I got plenty of pictures (pictures of Mitski were occasionally included, as long as she was behind the washing machine). :)
Sarah took great care of our very shy Charley! He hid from her for the first few visits but they became huge playtime pals on visit #3 and thereafter. In addition to Charley’s fun and games, Sarah watered indoor and outdoor plants, filled our bird feeders and kept a close eye on our home. I just hope we can get Sarah again the next time we travel!

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
