“Barbra is wonderful with our Charlie. I can see from his interactions with her that he trusts her and is so comfortable there. She is kind, accommodating, and has excellent communication. Charlie always comes home happy after a stay!”

“Sue was great. My dog got along with her two dogs, and had a nice fenced in yard for them to run and play. She kept me informed and sent me a couple of pics over the week. Havre de Grace isis on the way to the Baltimore airport so very convenient drop off snd pick up. I don’t travel Vera often but will reach out the next time I do.”

“Bambi was very nervous going in - she’s never stayed with a non-family member in her almost 13 years. Elena won her over (with treats of course). Thanks Elena for taking on the last minute booking!”

“Abby and her family were amazing! They took great care of my pup Maxx while I was away and sent plenty of videos and pictures of all the loving and play time he had. Maxx loves kids so he was spoiled rotten having friends to play with and keep him entertained. I will happily book with Abby again and recommend her to anyone.”

“Ann & her husband were very loving to our dog, and we know he was in great hands while our family had to go out of town! He received a lot of snuggles during his time, and we received a lot of updates. We’re very thankful for their care!”

“Deanna is such a great dog sitter! She and her lovely family took such great care of Romee. Romee had walks, plenty of playtime—just a perfect situation. Knowing Deanna was taking care of Romee allowed me to truly relax and not worry a bit while I was out of town. I’ll be rebooking with Deanna! Absolutely recommend.”
“Ceil took care of my dog for a few overnights and I could not be more happy with the care he gave. From the time I dropped him over I knew right away my dog was in good hands. He kept me updated with pictures and videos which was very warming. If there were 10 stars I woukd of gave all 10”

“Elizabeth took great care of my dog. She gave lots of updates and was a pleasure to work with. My dog loves her and seemed so happy while she boarded with her.”

About: ***drop off and pick up times are between 9 am -2:30 pm or between 5 pm and 10 pm***** as I have zoom meetings in mornings and afternoons ; Rover will not let me put in specific times I do apologize****I have two fur babies of my own! They are spoiled rotten. Their names are Rainy and Stormy . I am well trained in giving oral medications as I had a fur baby that had congestive heart failure for 4 years whom also was a senior dog when he passed at 18 years old. I have taken care of other people’s dogs and cats. Where they are treated like my babies while here as well and get spoiled and lots of attention. I work from home and care for my grandmother so I will home with them at all times. I can administrate pills/medicine if needed. I am able to take the dogs out whenever it is needed. My babies are always by my side like shadows. I have a fenced in yard.My dogs love to play with friends dogs. The more the merrier!
“This is my very first time using Rover to gin weekend did a wonderful job caring for my 2 year old cat Ninja over the weekend. Colleen’s home was clean and she’s seems to have alot of experience dealing with pets. My cat had never been around a dog before, and Colleen took the time to allow them to acquaint them and they just left each other alone, no fighting.”

About: Love many different types of animals and have pet sat for many people in my family over the years. From my experience every dog has liked me. I have minimal knowledge in training dogs. And can adapt my environment to fit the personality of the dog. Im currently in college, so Mondays-Thursdays are busy for me but I am almost always available Friday-Sundays. On the warmer days I like to go for a walk around the neighborhood and back. I have a fare sized fenced yard. A 8-year-old yorkie, he is very sweet and friendly with other dogs, not much of a barker. Two other reptiles locked in their tanks, the will never be a concern with them they are very small.
“Jessica was awesome. She took great care of my baby Paris. She kept in contact with this nervous dog mom and made me feel at ease. Will definitely book with her again.”

Thomas was great with loki even though my booking request was last minute, he accepted it, we also met beforehand to make sure both dogs got along. Loki had a great time during his stay! I really appreciate Thomas's flexibility, communication, and the care he provided. I will definitely be bringing Loki back again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable dog sitter!

Aaron and his family were amazing. They welcomed our 3 year old English Bulldog Rowan into their home and he was comfortable from the start. They took him for walks often, sent pictures of him daily, and put our minds at ease while we attended an out of town funeral. We will absolutely be booking with them in the future for our boarding needs.

Abby and her family were amazing! They took great care of my pup Maxx while I was away and sent plenty of videos and pictures of all the loving and play time he had. Maxx loves kids so he was spoiled rotten having friends to play with and keep him entertained. I will happily book with Abby again and recommend her to anyone.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
