“Brandon and Mary C. were absolutely wonderful with Millie! They dropped-in Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and went above and beyond every single visit. They made sure she got outside, spent time playing with her, practiced tricks with her, and even took lots of pictures so we could see how she was doing. It was clear that they genuinely cared about her and wanted her to have a fun, happy visit each time. We came home knowing Millie was well taken care of, and that gave us such peace of mind. We would absolutely recommend Brandon and Mary C. and will definitely be booking them again! 🐾❤️”

“Ann made Darla‘s first visit with her very pleasant and comfortable. She’s the perfect person for our little Darla. We know she’s in good hands in Ann’s care.”

My babies are always by my side like shadows. I have a fenced in yard.My dogs love to play with friends dogs. The more the merrier!
About: I have watched over many of my friends and families pets. The dogs I have watched in the past have been moderately large, and could be a bit wild at times but I was able to keep hold of the situation. I have also accompanied my family and friends when they had taken care of pets for other families. I had helped train a very wild pup for a friend, as well as a basic command which was sit. I absolutely love animals and even went to a program in high school for them. I am currently free during most times of the week. I am currently attending HCC, my classes being on Monday and Wednesday and do not stretch late into the day. I am very available to watch your pups or kitties! I can come during the mornings or evenings during the week depending on the day. I am also available to house sit. I care for them by learning their needs and wants first in their home. I understand every animal is unique and needs to be cared for in a way that works for them. I listen to the owner to ensure that everything will be safe and cared for in their absence.

“Kaylee was superb 🥰 very nice Loved our dog 🐕 and which meant a lot she made sure he was well taken care of and made it a point to bound with him. Would highly recommend Kaylee and hope she will be available again. She always posted pictures and was always on time even on a bad weather day she was there 🤗💜”

“Cassie was the absolute best! She was so attentive and responsive, and gave great care to our two cats! She also sent great updates and pictures, would highly recommend her to pet sit!”

“Kyle came to meet the cats and see where things were kept. They took to him immediately and I am leaving for a work trip with no worries at all that they’ll be well taken care of.”

About: I've loved dogs for as long as I can remember and have been around them since I was a child. I've cared for dogs of all sizes for friends and family, so I'm comfortable with different breeds, personalities, and energy levels. Whether it's going for long walks, playing fetch, giving belly rubs, or simply keeping them company with plenty of cuddles, I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. What sets me apart is the care and attention I give every pet. I understand that every dog has their own routine and personality, and I make it a priority to help them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I'll treat your dog like they're part of my own family, providing reliable care, affection, and regular updates so you can have peace of mind. I have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to accommodate a variety of pet care needs throughout the week. Whether your pet needs daytime visits, evening walks, overnight care, or weekend attention, I'm happy to work with your schedule whenever possible. Caring for pets is something I truly enjoy, so I make sure I have the time to give each pet the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. I provide care in my clients' homes to help pets stay comfortable in the environment they know best. I follow each pet's normal routine, including feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and any special instructions you provide. I also make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, and companionship while you're away. My goal is to keep your pet happy, safe, and stress-free, while treating your home with the same care and respect I would my own. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away.
“We have a German Sheppard, and we are precautions with new people meeting her but Elizabeth did amazing! Our dog immediately liked Elizabeth and started playing with her. Elizabeth also eased our mind by having experience with dominant breeds.”

About: I’ve been taking care of pets since I was 8. I’ve had guinea pigs, dogs, and a rabbit. My family currently has one rabbit, Thumper. He is the best! We also have three wonderful dogs…two English cream golden retrievers, Remi and Raven, and a spunky beagle named Snoopy! I was a teacher for 24 years and now I worked in a school library for the past 4 years. I’m trying to make some extra money on the side. I started doing some dog walking/sitting during the summer of ‘25 and have truly enjoyed it! I love being outside and taking walks with the pups or just playing with them inside! I’ve also taken care of cats too. I love spending time with animals! I’m available after 4 p.m. and at night too, during the school year. On the weekends, my schedule is very flexible. Since I work for the school system, my schedule is much more open in the summer time, if you need any help! I can take your dog for a walk, so they can get some exercise. I can also stay and play with your pet! Happy to send pictures and updates too!
About: I've always been the person friends and family trust to look after their pets. I know how important it is to have someone dependable caring for them when you can't be there. Whether it's going for walks, keeping them on their feeding schedule, giving them lots of attention, or administering oral medication when needed, I'm happy to make sure they're comfortable and well cared for. I take the time to get to know each pet's personality and routine because no two pets are the same. My goal is for your pet to feel relaxed and for you to have peace of mind while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home, which gives me the flexibility to provide plenty of attention, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I can easily stick to your pet's routine and make sure they don't spend long periods alone. My weekday schedule is very flexible, while my weekend availability is a bit more limited, so I recommend reaching out in advance for weekend bookings. When I'm caring for pets in their own home, my priority is keeping their routine as normal as possible. I know pets are most comfortable in a familiar environment, so I make sure they're fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and, of course, lots of love and attention. I will follow any specific instructions you leave to make sure your pet receives the care they're used to. I also believe communication is important, so I'll send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and doing well. I treat every home with respect and every pet like they're part of my own family, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for until you return.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Aberdeen
Excellent care, compassion, dedication, dependability, observant, and very friendly, that’s Samantha. She took care of our 17+ year old cat for a full week while we out of state. We didn’t have to worry about anything. Samantha provided great communications, kept us informed daily on everything, from feeding, litter-box, cat behavior, etc, and sent daily photos. Samantha took care of everything and questioned anything that might be of a concern to us. For example, with all the rain, we had some very tiny ants finding their way in for shelter, but went to the cat food. We probably wouldn’t have noticed, but Samantha did. She quickly notified us, emptied, cleaned and washed water and food bowls, plus the tray underneath, then refilled them fresh and relocated a few feet away. Continued by washing that floor area, and put a Terro ant bait trap (pet friendly) that we had at that location. Sent photos of everything being done, and rechecked all was well on next visit and gave us updates. Samantha is very conscientious and observant with great communications. We always knew what was going on, and knew if any issue came up, she would react quickly and take care of it. Made our trip pleasant knowing we didn’t have to worry about anything. Very pleased with Samantha’s efforts and dedication in providing the best care. Highly recommend her, plus our cat found her very likable too. He normally hides from others, but not with Samantha. Location wise, Samantha lives in Bulle Rock, our same community, so it was like having a dependable close friendly pet care professional next door. We will definitely use her again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
