About: I have taken care of pets in both my professional and personal life for over 15 years. I love interacting with different animals and getting to show them lots of love and care. I’m currently working part time and could look after your pet from Thursday-Sunday. I could offer full weeks during the school holidays when I am off. I have a fenced garden and there is a secure dog walking field near to my house. I am happy to accept crates to create a safe space for your dog to visit if they are worried or stressed along with relaxing remedies. I would love to be able to take your furry friend further afield so car crate/harness would be great.

About: I grew up with West Highland Terriers and now love welcoming dogs into our home to enjoy country walks in our beautiful local surroundings that we are fortunate to live near. I am currently a full time mummy so am flexible everyday to care and walk for dogs when they come stay. I enjoy daily walks and having a dog with me encourages me to visit beautiful places for days out. We have a fenced, secure garden which backs onto beautiful dog walking fields. There is room for dogs to bring their own beds if preferred to help them settle in.

About: I’ve grew up always having pets including dogs, cats, gunea pigs, hampsters, rats etc. Since moving out of my family home I had 2 dogs, that both passed away now. I loved them so much. I thought I could help others to care for their dogs. I am at home most of the time, so I have plenty of time to look after your dog, and take him/ them for walks I have a good size fenced garden, and plenty of space at home to play, or to rest and take a nap when needed .

About: Although I have always owned animals at the moment I have a dog, cat and budgies. I am in a position now to do my dream job and work with animals of all kinds. I have had experience of dogs, cats, birds, micro pigs, goats, small rodents, rabbits and all the jobs required in the looking after and understanding of them. No job is to small or too large when animals are concerned, I am reliable and trustworthy and will not let you or your beloved pet down in taking good care of it. I currently work at my local vetinary surgery 5 early mornings a week and am keen to pursue my days looking after other peoples animals. I am available every day of the week from 8.30am - 5pm for dog walking, house visits and collection or drop off services. Dog boarding is available but I will only take one owners animals at a time to make sure they get the best care possible. Although I work from 5am -8am Mon - Fri my partner is always in the house so your pets are never left on their own. I have a medium sized back garden and patio area which is ideal for toilet breaks and being out in the fresh air in good weather. My own dog and cat are very friendly and best of friends and would be happy to welcome a play mate or two into their home. Your pet will be made to feel like one of the family and will go for long walks in the countryside surrounding us. Your personal requirements for your pet will be fully adhered to, making sure individual requirements are met to keep your pet happy and secure.

“Jake had a great time staying with Olivia and Chris, they were very welcoming and he was at ease straight away. You can instantly tell that they really love dogs and it put my mind at ease knowing he was in good hands. I got regular updates which was good, and I can tell that Jake's had a lot of exercise because he's slept so much since we got back. It's also a perfect location for dogs, there is a big back garden and it is surrounded by countryside and close to places like Hamsterley forest. It's further to travel for me, but I will definitely be using Olivia again because I know he will be in good hands and that extra peace of mind is worth it for me.”

“Rogan, our very energetic Rhodesian Ridgeback has been going to Steve’s for over a year now. As a pup Rogan could be quite destructive and although he was walked daily sometimes it just wasn’t enough. After spending the day socialising with other dogs and running on the fells with the Not just Al pha dogs pack Rogan was definitely getting the exercise he needed. Rogan’s behaviour improved and Steve even helped with lead work and walking to heel. Rogan can be very stubborn and is not a fan of the rain, so sometimes he needs a bit of convincing to go to doggy day care. Steve is always very patient and kind, he gets to know the dogs and it’s clear he cares about them all. I would definitely recommend Steve and Not just Al pha dogs.”

“From the moment we arrived, I could just tell that Storey would be very well cared for and looked after while I was away. Jade showed great interest to know his likes, dislikes and little foibles, and obviously wanted to make him feel comfortable and as "at home" as possible. Her informative daily updates (with pictures) only added to my sense of contentment that Storey was being kept safe and happy. I'll definitely be booking with her again and can 100 percent recommend her to anyone who might be at all nervous about leaving their hound.”

“I have a chocolate lab pointer cross who is a senior and is very nervous, she needs daily medication and Wendy is able to give her this. Wendy has looked after Tilly on a number of occasions and has bonded very well. Wendy is calm and gentle which is what Tilly needs. Tilly loves going for walks and playing with her ball, likes cuddles and sleep time which Wendy full fills . Home from Home for Tilly I can go away knowing Tilly is in capable hands with Wendy.”

About: My name is Adele and my partner is Mike, We have over 15 years experience owning large breed dogs - German shepherd and Labrador. After loosing our gorgeous girl at 13 just before Christmas 2023 we are looking to provide a loving homely environment for any families who need care for their fur babies. Our dogs meant the world to us and where part of our family, due to work commitments we are not able to get another just yet but hoping to help other families providing a temporary home when they need it As we both work Monday to Friday ant the moment and currently we are only able to provide care on weekends. We are off work at the weekend we miss having a dog around the house to make a fuss off and take on walks. I’m looking forward to hearing the sound of paws around the house again We have a large fenced garden which is decked and paved for the dogs to enjoy when here. We also live a few minuets walk away from a playing field and a short drive away from Preston park where we used to enjoy taking our Labrador on early morning walks
