“After meeting Angela I had no concerns with leaving my dog Bear with her, it was immediately obvious he was in a caring home and would be well looked after. I have no doubts he had a great time, the updates and a pictures were great! I’ll be using Angela again and happily recommend to anyone!”
“Holly took great care of Pepper at very short notice due to a family member being ill. She was extremely accommodating and caring and thoughtful. Holly kindly sent lots of updates and photos of Pepper having the time of his life during his stay. He had the best time - running around with his ball, playing with Gary the Gull, meeting and playing with his new buddy Ronnie, swimming at Easby Abbey. I knew Pepper was in extremely capable hands from the moment I dropped him off. He was immediately at ease and that had a huge impact on me. I’ve already arranged for Pepper to go back to see Holly in a couple of weeks and Holly would be my go-to person for all future stays for Pepper. Thank you so so much Holly.”

About: I’ve grown up and taken care of dogs near enough all my life, whether that’s for friends, family or colleagues and dogs ranging from working cockers and springers to Irish terriers to German Shepherds, puppies too. I’m an active person with fields and walks a stones throw, also a fenced back garden and no other pets. Any needs for your dog I’m happy to discuss and accommodate as best as I can. I’m currently full time, however some days working from home and when I’m not I only work 10 minutes from home so can regularly pop in if I’m not already at home. Dogs have free roam to the ground floor of my house and fenced garden. Preferably dogs crate trained, however happy to accommodate if not. But dogs are not allowed upstairs so they will need to be happy sleeping by themselves downstairs if boarding.

“Michael was lovely and understood the importance of sticking as closely as possible to Otto's normal routine during his stay. He sent regular photo and message updates as requested and my boy just settled straight away in his home (which is lovely and quiet). I've already rebooked several times and I'm sure Michael and my Otto will be the best of friends. Thank you Michael, the best possible alternative to kennels”

It is obvious that she loves dogs and she asked lots of questions to tailor things for Alfie, who looked like he had the absolute best time! Emily is an extremely reliable, trustworthy and caring sitter. Thank you so much!”

About: I have been around pets all my life! I am a registered complex needs carer who currently works in the care sector, but I would like to care for animals fulltime as I do enjoy walking especially with dogs! I have a caring nature and I like to be physically active in all weathers! I have owned dogs, cats throughout my life. My current work allows me to select my own working schedule and therefore im in charge of my own time management. I would like to pet sit fulltime. Although I live on a busy road im fortunate to have a good sized garden which is completely walled. My home is secure and a good size. I live alone and I'm a non smoker and enjoy the company of animals. I have experience with reactive dogs and understand the needs of anxious dogs. I have experience of caring for adults in their own home and im cleaning and tidy and respectful of people's own homes. I have looked after friends dogs while they go on holiday. I live in a lovely town and have access to beautiful countryside on my doorstep. I understand owners can have particular routines for their pets and im more than happy to keep to routines.

About: I’ve been around animals since I was 8, growing up with a Jack Russell cross and a Staffy, and I’ve always loved caring for animals. I often look after my friends golden retrievers so also used to being around larger dogs. I now have my own 2-year-old British Shorthair, Mimi, who is neutered and very much part of the family. My partner has also grown up around a variety of animals, so we both have plenty of experience and genuinely enjoy being around pets. I’m comfortable caring for senior dogs who may need a little extra attention and understand that every dog has different needs and routines. I enjoy walking and spending time outdoors, so having a friendly dog along for the walk is a bonus! We’re looking forward to helping other pet owners out and giving their pets plenty of care, attention and cuddles while they’re away. I currently work full-time in marketing, which gives me plenty of flexibility throughout the week. My partner also works from home four days a week, so between us, we can easily fit pet care around our working day, whether that’s walks, feeding, playtime or simply giving your pet some company and attention. We’re also free on weekends, giving us plenty of time to give your pet some extra love and attention, with the added bonus of being able to take them on some lovely walks around the Yorkshire Dales 🐾 We want your pet to feel happy, comfortable and cared for while you’re away, and we’ll treat them as one of our own! ❤️ We have an enclosed garden with plenty of grass, sun and shade for your pet to relax in and go to the toilet! I can accommodate a crate trained dog (we can even supply the crate) or one that likes company to sleep next to 🫶🏼

“Nicola was so welcoming! She arranged to meet us before we confirmed if we were comfortable booking with her, where she allowed us into her home with our a dog so we could see the space for ourselves. She was so kind and caring for our dog who was only staying away from us for the 2nd time. She sent constant photos of him being happy during his stay and even went out of her way to take him to the river. We couldn't recommend her enough and she will always be an option for us going forward if we are ever in need of a sitter again. Thank you Nicola for making our Arnie feel at home”

“Wendy was absolutely wonderful! I was anxious about leaving Tado over night unsure how he'd cope but he soon settled, I was updated with images throughout his stay. I could not recommend Wendy enough and wouldn't hesitate for Tado's next holiday !”

“Jordan was fantastic, I only booked the evening before and she was so accommodating and easygoing, especially as it was short notice. Doris has a wonderful time, I received regular updates which was great. I’d happily send Doris back anytime. 🩷”

About: I live in the beautiful village of West Tanfield, surrounded by countryside walks right on my doorstep. I’m lucky to have access to a lovely river loop walk, open fields nearby, and regular trips to Thornborough Henges, which is fully fenced and perfect for safe exploring. I work from home most of the time, so your dog will have plenty of company and a calm, relaxed environment throughout the day. They’re more than welcome to join me in my home office — keeping me company as the “office dog” for the day. I’ve had dogs all my life and recently lost my beautiful black Labrador, Ralph, in January. While I’m not quite ready for another dog of my own, I would love to open my home to yours and give them the same love and care. My aim is to provide a true “home away from home” — dogs are welcome to relax freely in the house and garden, and be part of a safe, comfortable environment. I’ll always treat them as if they were my own. I work from home most days, so your dog will have plenty of company and care. I can only accept bookings when I’m working from home. I only take one dog at a time. Dogs are treated like family and I like them to feel relaxed, with free roam, sofas, beds, a garden fully secure, and countryside walks.

“Jordan must've been brilliant because my dogs didn't seem that bothered about coming home with me when I arrived to pick them up. Everything was very relaxed, easy and stress free. Thanks for keeping them company.”
About: My wife and I both grew up in houses that always had dogs although when we moved in together we always felt too busy to get our own. Luckily for us, mum and dad's dogs tended to stay over whenever they went away. We got the fun part of being around a dog, and the companionship that brings, but also the freedom not be tied down once they returned home. Now that I've retired, I'm free weekdays, weekends, evenings, extended stays or even staying at the dog's place if that was needed. Ideally I like seeing the same dog, or dogs, more than once so I can feel they see me as familiar and a small part of their lives. I usually miss them when they go home! We live right on the former railway line which is now a path and so is ideal. I love walking although am restricted to a steady pace because I suffer with ILD (lung disease). I can do fairly lengthy walks although can't go fast and hills really slow me down. This means that a small to medium sized (or an older) dog is my best fit although I have looked after dogs as young as one. Retirement means more availability so I'm ideally suited to being around for a dog when you're busy. I prefer to keep the flexibility that caring for other people's dogs provides, which is why I'm not looking to have a dog of my own full time. The fact I have the lung disease means it's best for me to keep active as much as I'm able and having a dog around gives the push to walk multiple times a day. We have very small garden which is fenced off but mostly it'll be walks to get out and about. We have an admittedly small 3 bedroom house so a small to medium size dog would fit best. The dog will sleep in the living room preferably in a bed provided by the owners. Although this site asks whether we'd allow the dog to be in furniture or beds, I'd prefer to stick with whatever it's used to at home.

About: I have loved and cared for dogs my entire life and have grown up in a dog loving home. My family has a French Bulldog who is now 12 years old, and I have been closely involved in his care throughout his life from a little pup all the way to a senior dog. I regularly look after him when my family are away, ensuring his daily routines are maintained and that he feels comfortable and well cared for. In addition to this, I frequently care for other family pets while they are on holiday, providing walking, feeding, and general day to day care. I am attentive, patient, and reliable, and I understand how important it is for owners to feel confident that their pets are safe, happy, and cared for as they would be at home. I am available for dog boarding, doggy daycare, dog walking and drop in visits on weekends. I can organise longer stays/visits upon request. For clients that choose dog boarding/dog sitting, I live with my partner who will also be in the house as he works at home full time. I provide a calm, safe, and attentive environment both in my home and in a pet owner’s home. In my home, dogs have plenty of room to relax and I also have a large, fully fenced garden where they can safely play and get fresh air. Outside of my home, I have access to lots of green spaces, which allows me to take dogs on regular walks in quiet surroundings. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I follow all instructions carefully to maintain their normal routines, including feeding, walking and any specific care needs.

About: Although I have only had my own pet for a year, I have looked after multiple dogs of friends and relatives in my adult life. I have a working male cocker spaniel who I have trained from being a puppy so have had experience of all age ranges. I have looked after older dogs who only need light activity to younger high energy dogs. I will try to help out in any way I can whether it be a walk to over night stays. I work part time and can alter rota if needed to help scheduling. I can mostly do Friday, Saturday and Sunday so you can enjoy long weekends away. I can do the odd day during the week depending on schedules for dog sitting and walking during the day. I have a fenced garden and a one year old male cocker spaniel dog who LOVES other dogs. Both me and him will do the most to make your pets feel the most comfortable from walks to overnights stays.
“We have left our two dogs (a Puppy and an adult dog) with Smarika while sightseeing in London for Daycare on 2 days in a row. We met Smarika directly infront of HMS Belfast and infront of the Tower of London. Smarika took very well care of both, handled them professionally and was very receptive and caring regarding the needs of the dogs. While caring for the dogs, Smarika sent lots of pictures and information about the dogs wellbeing. Smarika is very trustworthy, polite and professional and satisfied our needs 100%. I would definitely recommend her to everyone who is looking for a loving care of their dog(s).”

About: Since childhood, I have always had a family dog, so being around and caring for dogs has been a big part of my life. I’ve been volunteering most weekends at Holly Hedge Dog Sanctuary, whenever my work schedule allows. During my time there, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of dogs, each with different personalities and needs. This experience has not only shown my love for animals but has also helped me develop a strong confidence in looking after dogs and understanding their behavior. It's something I really enjoy and feel passionate about. My work schedule changes each week, so feel free to send me a message! Your dog will always be my top priority, and I will make sure to find time to give them the attention they deserve. I’m currently living in military accommodation on Catterick Camp. While my living area isn’t very spacious, I can guarantee that your dog will receive plenty of attention and care. I’ll make sure to take them out for walks in a secure and safe environment where they can enjoy themselves. Your dog's well-being is important to me, and I want to ensure they have the exercise, love and attention they need.

About: I have over a year of professional pet-sitting experience here on the rover app. I have also been a volunteer with the Blue Cross for a couple of years, helping to foster and rehabilitate stray cats. I absolutely love animals and caring for them is something I take great pride in. I am particularly well versed in looking after shy, senior and anxious pets - ensuring I take my time and build up trust is essential. I absolutely adore caring for pets and would love to share my passion with you. I work from home flexibly so I am available most days to care for your pets and to walk them / take them outdoors whenever they need. I live in a house with a gated garden and security is a priority for me. I am patient and caring with all furry friends, no matter their personality.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs since I was young, much like I have grown up with cats. Animals were a constant in my upbringing, as my family is very fond of animals. Whilst I don’t have dogs of my own due to my cat’s anxiety, I’m lucky enough to have many family and friends with dogs I love to look after when I can. I regularly pet sit my parents four dogs (two retrievers, two spaniels) who I grew up with since I was eight. They’re energetic, even the old 14 year old Timmy, and due to their countryside home we go on long walks regularly. I haven’t trained any dogs in a few years, as my parents dogs haven’t needed it in about eight years, though I’m more than happy to follow any routine set by yourself. I work from home as a comic artist/ illustrator so my routine is quite flexible. Hey, if I stay at yours you may even end up with a little doodle of your furry friend! I work from home as a comic artist/ illustrator so my routine is quite flexible. I tend to sleep quite late, so am happy to do drop-ins/ walks later in the evening, though early morning walks probably won’t happen before 9am. Due to my worn in also sat at home quite a lot, so I’m eager to do multiple visits a day, as it gives me a chance to take a break and do some exercise walking/ playing with you pet. I am available both weekdays and weekends. I do not offer boarding at my home fire to my own cat’s anxiety. However, I do live by three parks within a miles distance of each other, as well as my parents having a long countryside walking trail behind their home in Catterick, which is quiet and great for dog walks. I have quite a spacious car, so if you would like your dog to go for walks in the countryside, I’m happy to travel with them!
About: With 21 years of hands-on pet care experience, I offer calm, home-style boarding and sitting. I’m experienced with energetic dogs, anxious pets and seniors, and I stick closely to your instructions and routine. Safety comes first: secure doors/gates, lead rules, and careful supervision. I can support basic training habits (sit, stay, lead manners) and I’m happy to send frequent updates so you feel confident while you’re away. I work remotely, so I’m at home most of the day and can give pets plenty of attention, comfort and supervision. This means I can stick closely to your pet’s routine for feeding, toilet breaks, play and rest. I’m flexible with drop-off and pick-up times (with notice), and I’m available for weekday and weekend bookings depending on dates. Because I work from home, pets are not left alone for long periods and are supervised throughout the day. I keep a calm, safe home environment and follow your instructions closely (feeding routine, walking preferences, medication, and house rules). “Had great communication Sophia and really took care of my dog 100% would recommend as you are very trustworthy and caring towards animals and will definitely use you again Thankyou”

About: I have had many pets over the years. From a donkey, goats, chickens and of course dogs! I stumbled across offering care for other people's dogs by accident really, but it works really well. I care for our extended family and friends dogs in my home while they go away on holiday. I lost my gorgeous dog four years ago and miss him terribly. I decided this would be a great way to enjoy having the company of a dog again. My dog was a whippet so I know what a good walk looks like! I am are registered on trusted house sitters and have five star reviews from all my sits. I have no dogs myself so your dog would be the only dog to be cared for whilst with me. You can go away knowing your dog would be having a lovely holiday with me while you are having your own holiday. They fit in as my pet for the duration of their stay. If I stayed in your home you could rest assured I know how to look after a home. I have been married for over 40 years. I have an acre garden so grass cutting does not faze me either.

“Thank you for taking great care of Kobe! Great communication throughout with quick replies, we had a ‘meet and greet’ beforehand and I received lots of pics and updates of Kobe having a fun time when he stayed over for the night. I would definitely recommend Rebecca and will be asking again if will dog sit Kobe when needed in the future! Thanks so much :)”

I'm happy to adapt walks to suit the needs of the pet - long hikes, medium walks or quick walkies! I can drive in my estate car to secure locations, hire a dog field or just walk locally.

I can accommodate a crate trained dog (we can even supply the crate) or one that likes company to sleep next to 🫶🏼
“Liam and Hannah had our little westie Daisy for 2 weeks why we all went on a big family holiday and all I can say is Daisy is very depressed being at home she much prefers being with Liam, Hannah and Beau! We can not thank you enough for having her and will definitely be coming back next year if I could give more than 5 stars then I would 100%! Of course the star of the show Beau! What an amazing boy he is Daisy is most definitely missing him he's such a kind beautiful natured boy I would also highly recommend his dog buddy services!”

“Bobby has had an amazing time, lots of really long walks, playing in the fields and then having his own window seat to watch the world go by. Jane kept me up to date with plenty of videos and photos.”

“This was the first time we used Jessica, and we were not disappointed. From the messages before the visit to the care and photo updates while we were away, everything was excellent. Boris, being a bulldog, has specific food requirements and a set routine, which Jessica and her family adapted to perfectly. We felt completely reassured knowing he was in such good hands. We will definitely be using Jessica again in the future. Boris does not like the car and we always have trouble on collection but Jessica’s husband helped get Boris in the car with care, he is now snuggled up having had his favourite dinner , doing his favourite hobby of snoozing 💤”

“Jennifer is lovely! Highly recommend! I booked the wrong night & she responded immediately upon me realising my mistake (right before I was about to drop him off!) saying not to worry & she’d be able to have my dog Teddy on the day/ night I needed. She sent lots of pics & updates, and I collected a very happy pup! Thank you!”

“Here’s a polished 5-star review you can post for Amanda: --- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amanda was absolutely wonderful! She cared for both of our dogs like they were her own and made sure they were comfortable and happy the entire time. She kept us updated with plenty of photos and messages, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Her communication was clear and reliable, and it was obvious how much she truly cares for animals. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter—highly recommend Amanda!”

“Ella-Marie provided an excellent service, she was fast at responding, kept me updated throughout and looked after Bigby really well! Can't fault her and would definitely use her again!”

“Stan had a wonderful time staying in Becky’s lovely home. Becky really knows how to look after dogs to the highest standard and the ease of communication and feedback was fantastic throughout. I would not hesitate to have Stan stay again. Excellent job. Would give more than 5 stars if I could 🤩”

“We’ve had a fantastic experience with Emily. She looked after our Olde Tyme Bulldog while we were away and it gave us real peace of mind. We especially appreciated the regular updates and photos she sent through, it was lovely to see how happy our dog was in her care. Communication was excellent throughout, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and attentive dog sitter. We’ll definitely be booking again!”

“We have just returned from a 2 week holiday in greece and we're very nervous about leaving our dogs but leaving them with maxine and her family was the best decision. Maxine was terrific she sent photos and videos everyday making our holiday more enjoyable knowing that our fur babies were getting well taken care of. Maxine looked after Heidi and benji as if they were her own we couldn't of asked for a better sitter we think she is amazing and carnt thank her enough. Maxine took the dogs for a few walks leading up to our holiday which was really good to make them feel settled she showed them love and welcomed them into her family. Thankyou so much we will most definitely be asking her to look after them again and will be recommending her 100 percent to family and friends”
