“Enis is Excellent! So very caring and capable. Especially kind and patient with my young,(very) energetic pup who loves staying with him. I highly recommend Enis and will definitely book again!”

“Juan and his family took great care of our dog while we were out of town for a week. He was quick to respond to our messages and provided us with updates as to how she was doing. We would gladly use his services again in the future.”

“Angelica was great. We kept switching the drop off time and even the pickup time and she accommodated us with no problem. She sent pics and videos showing that Raven was having a good time.”

“She’s fantastic! Michelle ensures that your animal is loved, care for - takes time to feed and do the routines that your dog has daily. She has a super clean home with an area just for your dog that makes you feel like it’s a doggy hotel! Nameplate and first time sitter certificate was a nice touch. We received many updates of all kinds - videos, pictures and texts throughout her stay. Her own dogs are lovely and kept Lulu active and entertained (she s a puppy so it was great!). We plan on booking her again if available and would recommend her to everyone! Thank you, Michelle!!”

“Cannot thank Tracy and Steve enough for taking such good care of our dog, Peppa! It was nice to get regular updates via both photos and videos. You could just tell that Peppa was having a great time and was in good hands! We would definitely recommend Tracy and Steve whose level of excellent care gave us peace of mind. Thanks to them again!”

“Oliver loved staying at Ksenia's. Her place was clean and welcoming and he felt right at home. She is a great communicator and sent lots of picture updates. He can't wait to go back!”

“So… we researched 100’s of Pet Sitters and Board for our Ginger - a Mini Bernedoodle and finally decided on Dee right after introductory meeting in Early Fall. Safety, communication and mannerism was prominent for us and Dee checked off all boxes! Last night was the first day out for Ginger. She came home happily today and we are looking forward to sending Ginger to Dee shortly for a long visit. We are now beginning to understand why so many people recommended Dee and why she is booked out many times!!!.. A more detailed review after Gingers next and upcoming long stay at Dee’s.”

“Karla was incredible!!! This was our first time leaving our puppy with a dog sitter so we were super nervous but Karla was so friendly and reassured us constantly. She sent us tons of photos and kept us up to date on how he was doing. Our puppy is a little shy but he took to Karla super fast when they first met! He had tons of play time and made so many friends! He was so happy running around in the yard and we could tell he was having a wonderful time! Thank you so much Karla for making this such a great and positive experience for us :) we will be booking with you when we go traveling again for sure :) many many thanks !!!”

“Alex is really a great dog sitter and dog lover. Jacky was with him first time and he loves staying with Alex. He sent pictures to us and we can see our dog’s relaxing and happy smile. We strongly recommend Alex to anybody who would like to find a sitter for their dog. We will definitely go to him again for our trips during the year.”

“Danielle and Jason were amazing hosts for Onyx! 🐶 Danielle sent me daily photo updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. They’re such warm, personable people who clearly adore dogs and treat them like family. Onyx was so happy and comfortable the whole time. I’ll definitely be booking with them again! 🤗”

“Thor has stayed with Kun, his partner and Som and more times than I can count and Thor NEVER wants to leave. They consistently update you with pictures, ask dietary related questions prior to giving any treats and are all in all outstanding communicators. They’ve helped me out last minute so many times and the appreciation is massive! Thank you guys!!”

“Jenise was amazing! She took care of our goldendoodle for 1.5 weeks and our little girl had a blast. Jenise was attentive and flexible, and gave our dog plenty of exercise and attention in a lovely home environment. Thank you for taking care of Lainey!!”

“Thank you so much! Really appreciate your help with Garçon! We know he can be a bit of a handful sometimes with a lot of energy, but really appreciate you taking him last minute and providing such great care ! You guys are the best!”

“Ankita was absolutely wonderful with my pet. From the start, she was professional, reliable, and incredibly kind. She treated my pet like her own and made sure every detail was taken care of while I was away. She kept me updated with regular messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear my pet felt comfortable and happy in her care. I truly appreciate the attention, love, and responsibility she showed. I highly recommend Anikita to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Kira had such a great time at Maureen’s for her 2 night stay! Maureen gave Kira lots of attention which we appreciated since Kira can be a bit anxious. Maureen also watches Kira on a regular basis for doggy day care and is always great with her! We would not hesitate to have Kira over for a future stay!”

“OMG Jess is the best! We had never left Ringo in years with anyone and COVID def kept us all home anyways the last 18-20 months. We found Jess via a friend and I am beyond happy that we found Jess. She cared for Ringo like her own. We got pictures of him through out the day and updates. It made leaving him for the weekend a lot more bearable knowing he was in loving and caring hands. Ringo is also older so easily stressed and tired but Jess kept him safe and happy. We are so fortunate to have found Jess and her beautiful dogs That made Ringo feel at home ❤️?? I woukd recommend Jess to anyone any day without any hesitation.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Woodland Park
Marcy and her family were so sweet to my boys! I was so nervous leaving my two dachshunds with a Rover for the first time but Marcy was very reassuring, confident, knowledgeable and communicative! I received multiple pictures and updates throughout their stay and I will absolutely be booking again. Thank you for being so good to Otis and Rufus! ❤️

Yeisa is the best and so sweet! Unfortunately while I was away on my birthday trip in Dominican Republic, my other sitter had mentioned she couldn’t take care of Moki. Yeisa being my life saver went and picked up Moki in less than a two hour notice and has treated my dog with the upmost respect. God bless you Yeisa! No issues whatsoever, and she will cater to your dog and its needs!

Kora was beyond well cared for with Valerie, I could not have been happier she was available. Valerie asked all the right questions to understand Kora and her needs and made her very comfortable. From the 1st pic 2 hours after drop off I could see how comfortable and happy she was. Valerie's communication was great before and during the stay, it's clear she loves animals. If Valerie is available do not hesitate to book her, made me feel comfortable quickly that Kora would be cared for well

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
