“We are so incredibly happy with our dog’s experience with Rhea and Michael. They were highly responsive the entire time from the initial booking request to even after picking up our baby from them. It is so clear how much Rhea and Michael love dogs and they showed such great care of my Max from the second they met. They gave us such a peace of mind while we were away for a few days; we didn’t have to worry once if everything was okay. They sent frequent updates and photos which really put us at ease and allowed us to enjoy our trip. Rhea and Michael will be our first call next time we need someone to watch Max!”

“Sandra and San were absolutely exceptional with our dog, Luna. From the moment we met them, it was clear they genuinely care about the animals they look after. They went above and beyond in every aspect of Luna’s care. Their attention to safety and protection gave us complete peace of mind, and they took the time to learn every detail of her routine—from her meal schedule to her individual needs and preferences. They even asked for our veterinarian’s name and contact information in advance, which showed how prepared and responsible they are in case of an emergency. Throughout Luna’s stay, we knew she was in loving, capable hands. The level of care, professionalism, and genuine affection they showed her exceeded all of our expectations. We couldn’t recommend Sandra and San more highly. If you’re looking for people who will care for your dog as if they were their own, look no further. Thank you both for taking such wonderful care of Luna—we will absolutely be booking with you again!!”

“Angelica was great. We kept switching the drop off time and even the pickup time and she accommodated us with no problem. She sent pics and videos showing that Raven was having a good time.”

“Thank you so much for watching Oreo on such short notice! I truly appreciate you stepping in last minute and taking such great care of him. It means a lot to know he was in good hands .”

“Brianna was great with our dog! She watched him for a week and sent daily photos/updates. Our dog doesn’t get along great with other dogs but Brianna was very accommodating to his needs. Will definitely book again with her in the future.”

“We left our cavalier king charles with Amanda for the first time and we had a wonderful experience. She and her family did a great job taking care of him, and we received photos of him having fun and going on walks. She lives in a beautiful, calm neighborhood and her house is prepared to host pets. We’ll surely book with her again in the near future.”

“Thank you so much for taking such great care of Ashwa bear for me! This was her first time boarding with someone on rover and I was nervous, well because she’s my baby. You were great with her and responded to all of my texts checking in on our little trip. I really appreciate all of the pictures that you sent, it made me able to just enjoy my time with my son and not worry. I could tell she was in great hands. I will be in touch for sure if I ever need someone to look over her again. Again thank you so much!”

“We recently moved to the area and after an extensive search on Rover for sitters decided to meet with Raymond for an in person interview. We were immediately impressed with his willingness to meet and greet Sonny our English bulldog and it was clear there was a match. Shortly thereafter we booked his first stay and are certain Sonny felt like part of the family because Raymond sent pictures of him laying in the living room and in the evening he was resting in his crate (he loves to sleep in his crate) which was also kept in the family room. Throughout the day Raymond was kind enough to send pictures of Sonny playing in backyard and most importantly ensured that he received his medication daily and took great precautions to adhere to his strict diet given his skin allergies. Highly recommend Raymond and have already booked a number of upcoming stays. Great job Raymond we appreciate YOU!”

“Carol is an amazing pet sitter! Her care was exceptional, and she made communication so easy with adorable photo updates. My dog clearly had a wonderful time with her. She's professional, reliable, and truly warm-hearted. Highly recommend!”

“Karla was amazing! She recently took care of my German Shorthaired Pointer, Olive, and I couldn’t have been happier. She was incredibly communicative, sending daily updates with photos and videos that showed how happy and comfortable Olive was. Karla’s attention to detail and genuine care made all the difference. It was clear that Olive was in great hands, and I felt completely at ease knowing she was so well cared for.”

About: I have two siblings with a rescue dog each and I have been the go-to auntie to dogsit for them for years. Anytime anyone’s need to go on a trip, Auntie’s got them 💪. I work from home and have a flexible schedule so I can give them the attention, the cuddles, the walks, and the treats they need to be absolutely cared for. I work a remote job from 9-5. It’s not demanding so I have lots of flexibility. I will do walks in the mornings and evenings and can fit in a fun one in the afternoon for a little nature enrichment. Meal times are how the dog parents want. They can have access to my furniture and bed. I see myself as their auntie and they will be treated with the best love and care. My apartment is right next to a train so there will be loud train noises every few hours. I’m hoping this doesn’t spook the babies but please keep that mind.
“Andrew was awesome! Hank wasn't feeling well and Hazel was being a diva but Andrew was fantastic thru it all. He was in constant contact w me and provided lots of pics and videos. He went beyond his caretaker role. Would highly recommend him!!”

“Xunzi took my 2 cats at the drop of a hat! I booked the night before I needed them out of the house for a chemical treatment there after a fire. She did not just take care of them, but also paid attention to their psychological well-being, inviting us to visit them and slowly introduced them to her pets. She played with them and showered them with treats and food, replacing the inadequate one I had brought. A gem!”

Another great stay with Funda, this time for 5 nights. As usual she took great care of our girl Okoye. She shared regular updates with pics and videos of our girl enjoying the big fenced in yard. We hate to leave her but when we do I always trust Funda to take great care of her. 100% recommend booking with her, it’s clear the whole family loves dogs.
Florence was amazing with Enzo! She kept me updated throughout his stay, sent me pictures, and took such great care of him. I felt very comfortable knowing Enzo was in good hands while I was away. He seemed happy and comfortable with her, and I would definitely book with Florence again. Thank you so much for taking such great care of my boy! ❤️🐾

I was so happy for my Bulldog Earl to receive such excellent care and also make some new friends with Carolina, her family and their dog Daisy. I was oversees and didn’t have to worry once how Earl was. She updated me daily with a note and pics. I have already used her again and will continue to do so in the near future. I might even see if she wants to set up playdates with her dog and visiting dog pals.

Keisy was wonderful! She kept me up to date everyday with messages and pictures, and she was responsive, friendly and kind. She also accepted my request at the last minute, when my other plans fell through, she was a total lifesaver! I would highly recommend her and will be using her again in the future. My pups came home happy, healthy and well cared for.
We left Reggie in Ankita’s care for two weeks while we were abroad. Since then, she’s also been helping us with doggy daycare. She kept us updated throughout the trip, sending regular snaps and videos that really helped ease our nerves. Ankita is an excellent communicator—she’s very careful with the puppies and respectful toward their parents. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for doggy daycare or boarding. Thank you so much, Ankita!

Desi and Marilyn were awesome. We honestly haven't left Jagger with anyone in a long time and were a bit nervous as he is 10+ years old. But after visiting Desi and a after a few days into his stay we were at ease. They made daily TikToks which were great and responded quickly when we asked how he was doing. You can tell they truly love these dogs. Best of all they are right in the same town as us. He will be back for sure

We had such a great experience with Juan. This was our first time leaving Teddy with them and Juan made us feel very comfortable. He took great care of Teddy and sent us pictures and updates which we really appreciated while we were away. It was so reassuring to see that Teddy was doing well and being well cared for. We’re very thankful to Juan and would absolutely feel comfortable leaving Teddy with them again.

Yeisa is the best and so sweet! Unfortunately while I was away on my birthday trip in Dominican Republic, my other sitter had mentioned she couldn’t take care of Moki. Yeisa being my life saver went and picked up Moki in less than a two hour notice and has treated my dog with the upmost respect. God bless you Yeisa! No issues whatsoever, and she will cater to your dog and its needs!

Kora was beyond well cared for with Valerie, I could not have been happier she was available. Valerie asked all the right questions to understand Kora and her needs and made her very comfortable. From the 1st pic 2 hours after drop off I could see how comfortable and happy she was. Valerie's communication was great before and during the stay, it's clear she loves animals. If Valerie is available do not hesitate to book her, made me feel comfortable quickly that Kora would be cared for well

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
