“I wish I could give more than 5 stars! As an anxious person, using Rover for the first time, and for a longer house stay, I couldn’t have asked for a better person to watch our babies! Marykay was absolutely amazing! She communicated many times throughout the day and took such good care of our two cats! They miss her already! We are so thankful for her and thankful we have now found our go-to sitter! If you’re on the fence about using Rover or anxious like me, message MaryKay - she’s amazing!!!!”

“Zach was very good at building a strong bond with my dog. He sent photos and took him on walks even when he was resistant (not a fan of the cold). He also took care of our bunny and cat. He was able to effectively handle more then one pet at a time and made sure all got equal time and attention.”

“Claire was friendly, on time and attended to our dog's needs. Cameron was well taken care of while we were out to dinner with friends. We can recommend Claire and will use her again.”

“Our pups had the best reaction to meeting a new person ever. They felt her confidence and kindness. She always sent a pic and a note each day. Everything went great! She's the best.”

“Julia was great with my 1 year old Goldador Julia was great with 1 yr old Remigus with lots of energy! She went above and beyond on limited space this time with an update to our wood flooring where Remi was not allowed to go on yet... very pleased and will definitely request Julia again!”

“Meghan took great care of our pups, cat, and our chickens while we were away! We couldn’t ask anymore from a sitter; she gave them plenty of love, was very responsive, gave frequent updates, and went above and beyond! This was our first experience with Rover and we couldn’t be happier!”

“Avita took great care of my two cats and even spent extra time with them while I was gone on a longer trip. She made both the kitties and myself feel completely at ease. By the end of the trip, they were her new best friends—curling up on her chest and giving her kisses, which is a massive compliment from my cats! She also took special care of my plants. She is thoughtful, kind, highly responsive, and so easy to work with. I would recommend her to anyone!”

About: I've loved and taken care of animals since I was about 3 years old. I always asked to be the one to feed the dog before dinner! I have 2 cats, who are my world. I have a lot of experience with dogs, and have a chihuahua named RiotGrrl. I love dogs. My family has always had dogs, and i once lived in a home where I helped care for 6 dogs, a cat and a rat. I have 26 years of pet care and sitting experience. I'm able to do overnight sitting in your home, walks and baths! Meal times too, of course. I would love to make your pup or cat my new fuzzy best friend! I'm currently free full time for pet care! Im available from 6am-8am and again from 1pm to 12am all weekdays and weekends. I'm available for walking and pet sitting for holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas etc). I do same day booking for walks, but require one day notice for stay in sittings. I prefer to watch animals in their own home, so they are the comfiest they can be. My apartment doesnt allow me to board unfortunately. I will completely stick to your pets normal daily schedule while they are in my care.
“Wonderful care and compassion. Highly recommend and great communication. We are new to Rover and the process and cannot thank Iuliia and Constantine enough for the care they show. Thank you.”

“My animals (2 dogs and a crabby cat) loved Carolyn. In fact she came over a few days after I returned and the were so excited to see her. They definitely got a lot of attention. She sent lots of pictures which I really appreciated and communicated everyday on how their day was going. I appreciated her taking good care of my fur babies.”

About: I started off as a volunteer dog walker at the Minneapolis Animal Care and Control (4 hours/month). Now, I walk dogs regularly for several families throughout the week during my mornings and lunch breaks. I have some flexibility in my daily schedule as I currently work fully remote. I aim to walk dogs in the morning or lunch time. I do occasionally travel for work for about a few days out of the month (exclusively during the weekdays). But I always make sure to keep my calendar updated as much as I can. When I’ve taken care of my friend’s or neighbor’s pets, it’s been for a couple of days or a week. Sometimes, I would drop by to feed them and bring them out. Or there’d be times where I’d just sit and do work at their home while occasionally taking breaks to play or socialize with their pet.
“Val was the sweetest! She sent me pictures and updates of Zeke while I was away! She kept my apartment very clean and Zeke looked like he was so happy spending time with her! Zeke is leash reactive and Val was so honest with me about how their outside trips went which I really appreciated! Thank you for treating him like your own Val!”

“Lilah recently house sat and took care of my dog Honey, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! From the start, she was responsive, friendly and made sure to ask lots of questions to understand Honey’s needs and quirks. I received updates and photos while away, and Honey was happy and well cared for when I returned home. An all around great experience, and I hope Lilah is available to hang out with Honey during my next trip.”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs on Rover with my family for 7 years and love each pup like my own family. I’ve had experience with a many dogs with different needs and personalities. I’ve grown up with dogs and have two dogs of my own. One is a senior so I’m used to the intensive care and attention that comes with that. The other is a high energy dog that requires many walks and care. I am well versed in what it takes to be a good dog caretaker! I’m free most days as I work part time while also attending university. I’m home for the summer and have availability to dog sit. I am happy to walk dogs, check in on them a couple times a day at your home and stay at your home to watch them! I am available every day, I work part time Tuesdays 3:00-6:30 Wednesday 9:30-12:30 and Saturdays 12:00-5:00. I am available every day, I work part time Tuesdays 3:00-6:30 Wednesday 9:30-12:30 and Saturdays 12:00-5:00. I can take care of your dogs every day of the week but would have to move around my work schedule those days. I do not take dogs in my home but I am able to visit them feed them as needed snd give any medications as well plus lots and lots of love and walks. I also would be able to stay at your home to watch the dogs.
“Brooke did a great job with our high-energy dog, Isa! Brooke is very knowledgeable about enrichment activities and was both patient and proactive with our dog. Isa can be sensitive while we’re away. It made such a difference that Brooke sent wonderful updates throughout our trip and Isa looked happy and very well cared for. We came home to a clean house and a happy dog!”

“Summer is fantastic. She is so thorough and detailed and handled our two Berners while away for a long weekend. So attentive to all of their needs and amazing communication. We hope she liked us as much as we liked her! ?”
“Our family has been struggling for several years to find a responsible, reliable sitter for our dog. Well, that struggle is over. Chuck is simply the best. He obviously cares about animals and seemed to really get our dog's quirks. He is professional, communicative...and he left our home in immaculate condition. We are lucky to have become acquainted with Chuck and will definitely be reaching out to him in the future!”

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats (and other animals) since I was a kid. A proud godmother of a Yorkshire Terrier, a sweet gentleman. Got on Rover during college, and I absolutely loved it. My situation makes it hard to raise my own pets, so I take the chance to be around them whenever I could. I work remotely, which gives me the flexibility and time to provide attentive care for animals, including long walks and companionship. This allows me to be consistently present and available while pet sitting. I’m not currently able to host pets in my own space, but I take the time to get familiar with each new environment so I can provide the best possible care. I make communication with owners a priority, especially when learning the details of a new home or routine.

“Robert was communicative, sent updates/photos throughout the day, and took great care of Pukka. Really appreciated his flexibility and attentiveness. Pukka seemed very happy and comfortable with him. Thank you again!”

“Ava is a go to for us! She takes such great care of our 2 labs, Lola and Daisy. Ava shares photos and communicates well. She takes care of things at the house when needed. We really appreciate Ava being our go to.”

Jenny was a great dog sitter! Friendly, great questions and communication, and we knew our dogs were well cared for. She took our pups for separate walks as they’re a bit reactive together, and she sent photos while we were away which we loved! Highly recommend Jenny.

We were in such a bind. A family trip we had looked forward to for years. A friend was supposed to watch our animals and our home for the week we were gone but ended up in the hospital. With our departure on the 4th of July, everyone we knew was out of town. We were nervous, having never used Rover for housesitting, and with our departure in less than two days. Anna was a dream. She was communicative, caring, and asked thoughtful questions. We received photos and updates every day we were gone, which provided such peace of mind. We returned home to happy animals and a tidy home - such a gift. We will be using Anna again in the future and highly recommend her. Thank you, Anna. You saved our family trip!

Tori took such good care of our dogs and also house while we were gone on an extended trip. She is a great communicator - reaching out when she needed to, and sending regular updates so that we knew all was well and could relax while we were away. House was nicely tidy and clean when we got back - we arrived late, so it was particularly appreciated to be able to hug happy dogs and go to sleep right away. We will definitely be booking again!

Sabrina was amazing! Would highly recommend her as a great dog sitter. She sent updates and pictures every day, took my dog for walks when the weather allowed and overall just took really good care of my dog when I was away. Also, Sabrina went above and beyond when she picked my dog up from daycare and brought him to our house. 🐶

Sumak took great care of Hannah. I was so surprised that she ate a lot when I was gone. She usually doesn’t eat when I’m not around, but Sumak make her feel so loved that she had a normal routine. Sumak also made super cute videos! Daily! Such an amazing experience working with her. I definitely recommend her and will continue to use her help!! :)

Marisa did such an excellent job caring for our house and our labradoodle for a full three weeks. She was so easy to communicate with and did a fabulous job taking care of the house and dog. She also had to navigate a few unexpected things during her stay and did so calmly and with great judgement. I would highly recommend Marisa to anyone looking for a great house and pet sitter!

Seth was a fantastic pet sitter. His communication was excellent and prompt, he sent great pics of the pets during our entire trip so I felt confident in their ongoing well-being, and he left the house in amazing shape. He even put up with the fact that our cats have an extremely annoying wake-everyone-up-at-5:00 AM habit ... his patience with our all of our pets' quirks and needs was exceptional. I will book him again!

Gone for a week with a NEW PUPPY. Avita was a great sitter. Both dogs and cat were well cared for as evidenced by their complete nonchalance when we returned. Avita woke up early with the puppy everyday and helped us crate train. Our house was, I dare say, cleaner than when we took left. Highly recommend Avita as a true professional pet/house caretaker.

Dannie did such an amazing job with my sweet Pax while I was out of town! He’s a slow-moving older guy who needs some extra TLC and I can tell he was wonderfully cared for by Dannie and loved having a new friend to spend the weekend with! My house was so clean and in wonderful shape when I got home, I would absolutely recommend Dannie and can’t wait for Pax to see her on our next booking!
