I have volunteered at animal shelters since I was 10 years old, and am comfortable with dogs and cats of all sizes and ages! Additionally, I have seven years of experience pet/house sitting, including overnight. In the past few years, I have specialized in caring for puppies, and have experience with bottle feeding. I also had the unique opportunity to work with a coalition that supported people experiencing domestic violence by connecting their pets with fosters while they stayed in shelters (which normally do not allow animals.)

I am very comfortable walking dogs of all sizes, and am happy to take them outside to play as well! If your pet has any medication, I can make sure they take them. I will make sure that dogs have plenty of potty breaks, and that all animals are fed on time. If I am staying in your home, I will be respectful of any boundaries you have and will leave the place just as you left it.

Put simply: Kate is Great! Kate recently cared for our somewhat nervous (and quite energetic) rescue dog, our bearded dragon, and two parakeets for 10 days while we were visiting family out of state. She did a fantastic job and was incredible to work with on all fronts. She sent us regular pictures (and even a video) of our pets doing wonderfully and somehow managed to leave our house cleaner then when she arrived. She also deftly navigated a tricky situation in which our bearded dragon's basking light burnt out. We had some extra bulbs but they were buried in our basement. Through text Kate was able to find the replacement bulbs and save the day. This was our first experience with Rover, and Kate set the bar extraordinarily high. She is a genuine and kind person, and our dog, who typically takes some time to warm to new people, liked her immediately. Thanks for all your hard work caring for our furry, scaly, and feathered family members Kate! We're grateful to have found you on Rover.
Kate has dog sat for me in my home on several occasions. Kate is incredibly respectful and responsible. I’ve known Kate her whole life; she’s always been an animal lover and animals love her! You won’t find a kinder or more attentive person to care for your pets.
I would highly recommend Kate to anyone looking for a petsitter or dog walker! She is very reliable, and her love of all animals is apparent. When Kate took care of my dog, Millie, I could relax, knowing she was being well taken care of.

Schedule
I am an ESL teacher, so I have a ton of availability during the summer! Whether you would like me to stay at your home full-time while you are away, or just need me to stop by for periodic visits, walks, or play-time, I have plenty of time to dedicate to your pets! I am available both during the week and on the weekends, and can't wait to spend them hanging out with your cats and dogs!
