“Henry was amazing with our puppy. He kept us updated throughout and really brought peace to our dog while we were away. Would highly recommend his services and will be using him in the future!”

“I only needed a sitter for one night, but I was so happy with how Tazzy was when I got home! Tazzy is an anxious pup and can be a little particular about new people and changes to his routine, so I’m always a little nervous leaving him with someone new. When I came home, though, he was completely himself—happy, relaxed, and clearly very well cared for. You could definitely tell he got plenty of attention and cuddles while I was gone. 🥰 Everything at home was just as I left it, communication was great, and most importantly, I came home to a happy Tazzy. That’s really the best review I can give a sitter! I would absolutely feel comfortable having her watch him again.”

“Once again, you came to my rescue, allowing me to go out of town to see my grandkids. I’m so grateful for your service—it brings me such peace of mind knowing my puppy is in your loving and capable hands.”

“Thank you for taking good care of Sam! I felt very comfortable with her from the moment I met her at our meet and greet. We will definitely book her again.”

“Amanda is awesome… We were nervous about having a stranger watch our Stella girl. But we found out almost immediately that we had picked the right sitter. We will definitely use her again.”

“My pup Ted couldn't have had a better time hanging with Maddie. We can't recommend her enough! Trusting, reliable, and so caring of our Ted. You can tell Maddie absolutely loves animals. Highly recommend!!”

“Kara was so wonderful! She was extremely communicative and took amazing care of my dog Willow for 5 days. She is so kind and a true natural with dogs. She also took amazing care of my house, it was so clean when I got home. Definitely will be booking Kara again!”

“Katelyn was great! I had a long list of details for my dog and Katelyn accommodated everything and was able to work with her when she was a little nervous and barking. She was very communicative and sent me a ton of pictures and updates. Would definitely have her watch Rue again and would recommend to anyone that needed a dog sitter!”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life. No breed is too big or small. I’ve had a Maltese and a Great Pyrenees to even a rescue Beagle at the same time. I’m also a Fort Lauderdale native. I can’t wait to hear from you! 🐶😻 I have an open schedule so I am available whenever you need me to take care of your fur babies. 🐱🐶 7 days a week. I can spend as much or as little time with your pets as you would like. Dog walking brings me joy. Also, cat sitting and anything else necessary to make them happy and comfortable.
About: Over the years I have cared for a variety of animals, including domestic, exotic, and livestock. Friends and family have trusted me to care for their medically needy animals over the past decade and I am now opening that service up to Rover. I'm not a vet tech but I am comfortable and experienced administering a variety of medical treatments like insulin injections, pill regiments, eye drops/skin ointments, and subq fluids. Leaving town with a pet can be stressful, especially one that needs specialized care. I can help. Currently over all I have quite a bit of flexibility with my schedule. I have my own small business that is sporadic gig work on the weekends. Most events last 4 to 6 hours, maximum 8 hours, and not every weekend has events. I prefer to pet sit in the home the pets belong to. I find that with most animals it's incredibly stressful to move them, staying in their home with them minimalizes that stress. It also allows for easier medicine administration. I like to meet the pets and owners ahead of staying with them, this is to again reduce the stress on your pet when I show up without you as well as to observe the quality of care you are administering to your fur babies.

“Michele stayed over with our dog Connie and she was wonderful, confident, communicative, and quick to respond to every message. She truly cared about Connie, and we couldn't have been happier. Highly recommend her for house sitting, I would absolutely book her again!”

“Catherine is amazing. Took great care of our home and 3 Alaskan Malamutes for a weekend. Very flexible with our plans and attentive to all of our dogs’ needs, including medical/health needs. Will definitely continue to work with her!”

“Wow! Jenniffer was fantastic! She was extremely kind with our Lono. Communication was great. Lots of pictures and walks. The house was just as we left it when we came home and our pup was in great spirits. Thank you so much for taking care of him. 🩵”

About: Ive been taking care of dogs since I was 12 years old, as well as having a black lab of my own. I have a lot of experience with puppies, seniors, special needs dogs, and special services or attention any furry babe might need (such as medications, allergies, and injection treatments) I currently work part time and work from home, and do my schoolwork online so my schedule is very flexible to meet your pets needs and schedule. For home visits, I make sure the dog/ cat has everything they need including food, water, relief, attention and love 💕 and anything else that may be requested from you. For walks I’m very mindful of the Florida heat and the concrete around the time of day.
“Marta is absolutely wonderful! She took the time to get to know our routine and meet our two pups before taking care of them. She was excellent with managing their schedule, cooking their food and taking care of them and our home while we were away. She has a gentle demeanor that our dogs loved. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi I’m Kacie, I offer dog walking, dog boarding, drop-in visits, and house sitting. Whether your pet needs a fun walk, playtime, feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, lots of affection, or overnight care while you’re away, I’ll make sure they receive the attention and care they deserve. I can also follow your pet’s regular routine to help them feel comfortable and stress-free. I’ve spent years caring for my own pets as well as helping family and friends with theirs. I understand that every pet has a unique personality, and I take the time to build trust while making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Because I have a flexible schedule driving for Uber, I’m able to accommodate many daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday requests. I always strive to be reliable, punctual, and responsive. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. My goal is to treat every dog or cat like they’re my own, providing a safe, fun, and loving environment every step of the way. I have a huge fenced in back yard for them to run and play and plenty of room in the house If they want to just lounge around.
“Peggy always takes great care of our two westies! She is patient with our senior who is very picky eater and pretty needy. We always come home to a clean house and happy healthy dogs. We would highly recommend Peggy!”
“Nicky was the most professional person. Arriving a few minutes early to ensure he got everything he needed done prior to arriving (securing parking, front desk reception etc.). Asked thoughtful questions about the care of our dog. Checked in throughout the day, and ensured our dog was walked throughout the day. Our dog LOVED him And even gave him her paw (which she only does when she is comfortable). You could tell he truly cares about dogs/animals. Anytime Nicky is free we’d love for him to sit our dog Bagheera any day. Could not ask for a better sitter.”

“Sara has been a fantastic dog sitter over the years for two of my dogs. She is incredible with all dogs and really takes the time to get to know and understand a pet’s personality and meet them where they are at. If you have a dog that you are a little nervous to find a sitter for (or you have a chill as can be pup) I’d highly recommend her.”

Maddie was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond, she even took our dog to the vet when she developed a cough and administered meds. Gunner requires a lot of attention and exercise and she got both. We have never come home to a more mellow and happy dog. :) And the house was spotless!

Brunna was amazing. Brunna house sat for me while I was out of town for the Labor Day weekend and did an amazing job looking after Meeko and Stitch. Brunna came over to meet my babies and give her a walk through of my apartment a couple days I went out of town. It was immediately clear her kindness and sweetness was recognized immediately by my boys and they loved her as soon as she came into the apartment. While I was out of town Brunna shared updates with me and took the cutest photos of them. I cant wait for my next trip to ask Brunna to watch over the boys again.

Jennifer was absolutely incredible! I was extremely nervous using Rover for the first time, and being out of town for 5 days, but she eased all of my anxiety. She sent me multiple daily photo updates, communication was fast and easy, and my dog loved her. I was able to truly enjoy my trip with no worries He was clearly taken care of with the utmost of care and she followed my detailed instructions. I will definitely be using her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter!!! Thank you SO much for everything, Jennifer!

Hali was absolutely amazing! She was available on short notice and took such great care of our dog while we were away. She sent us lots of pictures and even shared their walking routes, which gave us so much peace of mind. She also went above and beyond by cleaning up the apartment and doing the laundry before leaving. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. We highly recommend Hali and will definitely be using her again! 🐾🩷

So easy to talk to and it is very clear he genuinely cared about my pups wellbeing and comfort. Great communication, sending pictures. I was worried to leave them in such a new place with our me but James took care of them like it was me doing it. He even came over multiple times to meet them. I wouldn’t hesitate at all to have him back. Thank you james for being so good with them.

Michele stayed over with our dog Connie and she was wonderful, confident, communicative, and quick to respond to every message. She truly cared about Connie, and we couldn't have been happier. Highly recommend her for house sitting, I would absolutely book her again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wilton Manors walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wilton Manors maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wilton Manors choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
