“Thank you Jenn & Brian for taking such great care of Rooney, just like last time. Thanks for all the pics and videos while we were away! Clearly he had a blast playing with your pups, and he also came home nice and clean!! 😀 You guys are the best!”

“This was my first time ever boarding Winnie and Monica put me so at ease with leaving him in her care. She even spent extra time to make sure my dog was comfortable with hers before I booked an overnight and she kept me informed on how he was doing with texts, photos and video. I would not hesitate to book a stay with her again!”

“I booked Beverly because I thought she would take good care of my Lola while I was away. And she did. She messaged me almost every day I was away and sent pictures! Lola had a good time and got along well with Bev’s dog, Daisy. An added “perk” is the fenced in back yard where I knew Lola could do her “zoomies” safely. I didn’t worry about Lola getting good care while I was away. I highly recommend Beverly and would book with her again.”

“Amazing experience! My dog felt comfortable immediately upon entering Mindy’s clean home. Mindy was very warm and welcoming upon arrival. She sent photos and videos along with written updates anytime I reached out. I felt 💯 at ease and plan to use Mindy’s services again in the future.”

“Michelle was an amazing with our shy foster dog Roxy! She was super patient, kind, and created a really loving and safe space for her to be comfortable with her. She has excellent communication with us so we were updated the whole weekend. Cannot recommend more!”

“Kimberly and her family are amazing! Chyna was so happy to go and play with their dog for the weekend. She was worn out after her fun filled weekend. Would suggest her any time to any one! ”

“Jackie made it possible to leave on a 2 week vacation. All 3 of our dogs were well taken care of. Jackie did everything we asked. We will definitely ask Jackie to take care of our family again. Thank you”

“I enjoyed working with Annalisa and my dog liked staying in her place. A large backyard is the right fit for my big pitbull. My pet was treated with love and attention. Will definitely leave my pop with them again and recommend to others.”

“We’ve trusted Courtney with our dog for many years, and she’s been consistently reliable and kind. It’s clear she truly cares—our dog is always happy and well looked after. The sweetest part is that our dog’s best friend is her dog, so every stay feels like a visit with family rather than boarding. We’re really grateful to have her.”

“Dan and his family were excellent dog sitters for our pup who stayed with them for 3 nights. She is 7 months old and this was our first time leaving her with anyone so I was very nervous. We did a meet and greet and Dan and his family made us feel comfortable right away. During her stay, he was very responsive to texts and gave multiple updates about what they did and even sent pics! They have a nice background where our girl was able to run around and play and their house is very spacious and clean. They took her on multiple long walks during her stay and when we picked her up on Sunday and brought her home I could not believe how exhausted she was! She’s a puppy with lots of energy so to see her passed out means she must’ve had a great time getting lots of attention and exercise! I definitely would not hesitate to have Dan dog sit again for us and I’m grateful to know I now have someone that she & I both trust & feel comfortable with. Thanks again to Dan & his wonderful family!”

“This was our second time using Rover, and I am so thankful we chose Charlette and her family. From the moment we dropped our dogs off, they fell in love — and honestly, so did we. Charlette was amazing. She followed everything I asked, kept me updated, and sent pictures so I always knew my babies were safe and happy. Her whole family treated my dogs like their own, and that meant the world to me. You can truly feel the love, the patience, and the care they put into watching them. I’ll definitely be booking with Charlette again. If you want someone who treats your dogs like family, she’s the one. We will definitely be booking her again.💕🐶”

“Kiara & Yves, did such an amazing job with my little kitty. She was so well cared for and the sitter was super responsive sending many nice updates and photos of Lottie. I would recommend their services to anyone who was looking for a sitter!”

“Best person ever to watch your dog. Absolutely would go to her before anyone else. Takes care of our dog better than anyone could. I can’t stress enough to go to her for any dog stay. Perfect!!!”

“Anthony did a great job taking care of my pup. She can be shy and fearful in new situations and Anthony did a great job to keep her calm and comfortable. She enjoyed playing with his dogs, Yoki and Canelo. I enjoyed receiving updates and pictures of my pup while I was away which helped me feel at ease. Anthony is calm, reliable and welcoming. I plan to use his services again when I need them.”

“Julie is the best ,she took care of our dogs so well.. it was our first time leaving our pet babies alone and we couldn’t thank her enough for always keep us giving updates about them and for everything thing..Julie , her baby girl and her husband all are extremely sweet people.. i will definitely always send my pet babies to her only. Tatyjana was honestly amazing l, I have never left my pup with anyone outside of my family and was so anxious hoing out of town for two weeks, but he had the absolute best time and recieved the best care! I was updated daily with pictures and my questions before and during his stay were met with quick and detailed responses. I am happy to find a new sitter for my baby and will continue to book with her!

Miranda went above and beyond to make my very timid and fearful dog feel right at home in her home! She sent me daily pictures and updates and answered all my questions quickly no matter how silly they were. She took excellent care of my “baby” and I highly recommend her pet services.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
