“I can’t begin to tell you how wonderful it was to have Bev. She was watching my dog during this last snow event and not only did she reassure me because I couldn’t get back in time (plane cancelled) that she would gladly keep her as long as needed she went to the store and bought more of her dog food as I didn’t send enough. I couldn’t ask for anything more. It certainly made me feel great that my dogs care was one less thing I had to worry about. I wish I could give her more than 5 stars.”

“Julie is the best ,she took care of our dogs so well.. it was our first time leaving our pet babies alone and we couldn’t thank her enough for always keep us giving updates about them and for everything thing..Julie , her baby girl and her husband all are extremely sweet people.. i will definitely always send my pet babies to her only. Thankyou so much”

“Jenn & Brian did an amazing job with our puppy! She loved playing with their 3 dogs in their backyard and going on walks with them. They took great care of our puppy!”

“Melissa and Gregory were incredible! This was our first time using Rover and they put us immediately at ease. They welcomed our rambunctious puppy into their home with open arms, making us feel confident that he would be well taken care of. He had some tummy troubles going on when we had to leave and they were so understanding, telling us not to worry. He made a mess in his crate one night because of this and they were so understanding, not bothered at all. They cooked up his brat diet (ground beef and rice) for several days until his stomach was working better. Leo came back to us healthy and happy. I highly recommend Melissa and Greg - they are just super!”

About: As a fellow pet parent, I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone new. That’s why I treat every pet like part of my own little furry family—warm cuddles, silly moments, and all. Your pet’s happiness and comfort mean everything to me. I’m available for boarding pet care on the weekends mainly. Also, open to be flexible and accommodate special requests. Please message me with your questions. I have a smaller fenced yard for quick potty breaks throughout the day and take my own two doggies for regular walks in the neighborhood as well. A minimum of 2x per day, rain or snow.
“We rebooked with Mindy for a recent trip after our experience with her last time. Our dog is a little bit neurotic & high maintenance and doesn’t like to be left alone in new places. It is so so so nice to be able to go on vacation and not worry about her because Mindy takes such good care of her. My dog randomly stopped eating and Mindy figured out that if she changed her bowl she would eat. She took her for plenty of walks and gave her plenty of snuggles - our dog even gets to sleep in Mindy’s bed at night! We are so relieved to have found Mindy and would recommend her to anyone.”

“David and Cathy and were wonderful, they very friendly and appeared to genuinely enjoy caring for our 14h month old border collie. They sent regular photos and provided long walks and plenty of play time with their pet pug Sadie in their large back yard. We will definitely be arranging future visits and highly recommend.”

“my sincere gratitude for Michelle help this whole weekend You are really appreciated and thank you for your willingness to work with my unpredictable schedule. Score is (10)”

“Stacey is amazing! My dog Adler had a great stay with her & she sent me some sweet photos of him in her yard. Adler is a special needs dog & Stacey took great care of him. I would definitely recommend Stacey!”
“Charlette was wonderful!!! Nikey does well with new people, but can get nervous in new environments. Charlette treated him with kindness and patience. She was able and willing to work with his normal routine and sent plenty of updates and pictures, which helped me feel at ease. Nikey warmed up to her, her home, and her family quickly. We are so happy to have connected with Charlette and will absolutely request services again!!!”

“Jessica and her family were so great with my little girl I’d use them again and again! Great communication. Super understanding. Felt so safe and comfortable. I can’t thank them enough!”

“My puppy was so happy at Courtney space! And I appreciate Courtney was doing a wonderful job sending me photos of my puppy. I will definitely reach out to Courtney for taking care of my baby doggie again. 100% recommend her!”

“This was our 1st time using anyone but family and I could not be happier! Kimberly and her family treated my pups so great that I wasn’t sure they would want to come home!!! We got lots of updates with pictures on how they were doing and Kimberly was very comfortable giving meds. The kids were great with them and I know they were spoiled rotten with attention! Put my mind at ease knowing they were just as loved here as they are at home! I will definitely rebook and I’m sure Copper and Robber would love to come back for another stay with this great family! Thanks again guys!! ?”

“Raisa took wonderful care of our dog, Bonita! We could tell Bonita had a fun and comfortable stay, and she almost did not want to leave. Raisa went above and beyond by giving Bonita extra home-cooked dog food and comforting her during loud noises and thunderstorms. Bonita also loved spending time with her daughter and husband too. We are so thankful for the love and care Raisa and her family gave Bonita. Highly recommend and would definitely book again!”

About: I’m a recently retired professional with a lifelong love of dogs and a home that feels a little too quiet these days. For many years, I cared for my own dog, who was truly part of my family. After losing him about a year ago, I’ve found myself missing the companionship, joy, and daily rhythm that comes with having a dog around. While I’m not quite ready for another full-time pet of my own, I would love to open my home to care for yours. Because I’m retired, I’m home most (if not all) of the day. That means your dog will get plenty of attention, companionship, and supervision-no long stretches alone. Whether your pup loves walks, playtime, or just relaxing nearby, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I’m experienced with daily routines like feeding, walking, administering basic care, and, most importantly, providing a calm, loving environment. I understand how important it is to feel confident your dog is safe and well cared for while you’re away, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. I truly enjoy getting to know each dog’s personality and making them feel comfortable and loved. It would be a privilege to care for your pet. Stacey was super easy to communicate with and even allowed us to do a meet and greet with her dogs before we booked! Delilah was in great hands and we really appreciated Stacey being so flexible with drop off/pick up given our travel changes because of the weather! We would definitely recommend Stacey and wouldn’t hesitate to leave Delilah with her again!

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
