About: Hi my name is Michael. I am a current senior at Wilkes who is looking to get involved in the local community. I have spent several years caring for dogs. I have two of my own at home in Stroudsburg (pit mixes), and in high school and over breaks I have pet sat and walked dogs for over a dozen homes in my community. I take pride in being a student leader and a future educator, as well as being responsible, dependable, and knowledgeable. For instance, I am well versed in dog body language, basic obedience, and many different breeds and personalities (small to big, guardian breeds, I love them all!). I am happy to reinforce the rules, expectations, and training that you have with your pet, or teach small new things like leash manners. Whether your dog needs to burn some energy, or just needs someone to check in on them throughout the week, I hope that you will consider me! Being a college student, my schedule is actually pretty flexible. I am generally available for: Morning/Midday walks/check-ins throughout the work week. Afternoon and evening visits on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Weekend stays or longer visits potentially as well. Because of that, I take time to speak with all owners about expectations, routines, and how they would like me to approach their home and pets. I usually like to meet all pets with the owners before beginning care as well, simply to ensure that they are comfortable with me. Generally, I will also take notice and respond to any body language or comfort concerns, exercise and training expectations, feeding and medication routines, and any other requests that an owner or pet may bring! About: I'm new to Rover but I have had experience dog/cat sitting/walking, taking care of sick pets, and making sure they're fed, safe, happy and comfortable I have plenty of free time in my day to house sit, walk your dog, play with your pets, or just check in on them! And I'm 100 percent okay with taking care of other pets not just dogs and cats, I'll happily watch rabbits, reptiles, or rodents, etc :) If you have a sick pet I will follow every instruction you need me to to insure your pet is feeling good and healthy, happy pet happy life, that's not the correct saying sure but it still applies right!

About: I've grown up around labs since my grandparents were breeders. All my aunts have had labs (usually more than one at a time), so I've gotten the chance to look after them and give them walks when they were away on vacation. My most recent experience was with my roommate's St Bernard. Optimus is the largest dog I've ever cared for let alone lived with. He's been a ton of work considering his previous owner's unfortunate lack of care. We've dealt with ear infections and bulking up to a healthy weight. Throughout all, patience and determination prevailed and he's our big buddy. I'm currently working three 12-hour shifts each week providing me evenings on work days and full days twice during week and all weekend for caring for cats. I'm unavailable Wednesday evenings and weekend mornings for religious reasons. I have a clean home vacuumed every morning with plenty of windows for looking out of. Scratching posts are in every room with plenty of toys and treats to go around. I love petting cats and giving belly rubs if that's their thing.

Devaeh was super communicative, punctual, friendly, and most importantly, so sweet and kind to my babies. We booked with her after an injury sidelined me from being able to adequately care for my pups during the day, while my husband was at work. She was such a big help!
May was awesome with my two dogs. One dog was diagnosed with diabetes this year and has developed diabetic cataracts. I hesitated to leave them at home on a recent trip, but May took great care of my girls! She is wonderful and did a great job administering Bitsy's insulin. Jared did everything as expected. He arrived when he was supposed to, did was he was asked to do and send multiple photos of each visit. He was not a hands-off sitter, he sat on the couch and outside on the steps with the dogs, keeping them company and giving them lots of affection. I would use Jared again if I needed a sitter. This was a one time sitting as I had a family wedding out of state, usually a family member cares for my pets when I need to go away. Jared cared for my dogs better than my kids.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
