About: Hi my name is Michael. I am a current senior at Wilkes who is looking to get involved in the local community. I have spent several years caring for dogs. I have two of my own at home in Stroudsburg (pit mixes), and in high school and over breaks I have pet sat and walked dogs for over a dozen homes in my community. I take pride in being a student leader and a future educator, as well as being responsible, dependable, and knowledgeable. For instance, I am well versed in dog body language, basic obedience, and many different breeds and personalities (small to big, guardian breeds, I love them all!). I am happy to reinforce the rules, expectations, and training that you have with your pet, or teach small new things like leash manners. Whether your dog needs to burn some energy, or just needs someone to check in on them throughout the week, I hope that you will consider me! Being a college student, my schedule is actually pretty flexible. I am generally available for: Morning/Midday walks/check-ins throughout the work week. Afternoon and evening visits on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Weekend stays or longer visits potentially as well. If you have any questions please reach out and I can see if we can work something out! Being a pet parent myself, I understand the varying needs and concerns when it comes to a pet sitter. Because of that, I take time to speak with all owners about expectations, routines, and how they would like me to approach their home and pets. I usually like to meet all pets with the owners before beginning care as well, simply to ensure that they are comfortable with me. Generally, I will also take notice and respond to any body language or comfort concerns, exercise and training expectations, feeding and medication routines, and any other requests that an owner or pet may bring! About: I've grown up around labs since my grandparents were breeders. All my aunts have had labs (usually more than one at a time), so I've gotten the chance to look after them and give them walks when they were away on vacation. My most recent experience was with my roommate's St Bernard. Optimus is the largest dog I've ever cared for let alone lived with. He's been a ton of work considering his previous owner's unfortunate lack of care. We've dealt with ear infections and bulking up to a healthy weight. Throughout all, patience and determination prevailed and he's our big buddy. I'm currently working three 12-hour shifts each week providing me evenings on work days and full days twice during week and all weekend for caring for cats. I'm unavailable Wednesday evenings and weekend mornings for religious reasons. I have a clean home vacuumed every morning with plenty of windows for looking out of. Scratching posts are in every room with plenty of toys and treats to go around. I love petting cats and giving belly rubs if that's their thing.

About: I have health care experience from my daily career and I've been taking care of all kinds of pets since I was a little girl. This includes several kitten rescues and rehoming. My little girl abby was a recue. Feeding, grooming, litter care needs, emotional support, love, time, and attention all go towards my cat at home on a daily basis. It's a labor of love. About: Since the day I was born I’ve always had a dog around to take care of. He was my entire world, always treated him like my baby. My Grandparents also had two cats that I would take care from time to time. I just moved from Orlando Florida back to Laflin pa where I originally grew up and I’m currently a middle school teacher in Wilkes Barre I unfortunately do not offer boarding but I have no problem hanging out with furry friends in the comfort their own home! I’m very neat and ALWAYS treat a clients home with respect.

About: I’ve checked in on multiple pets before. Friends and my own family and relatives message me to come in, walk their dog, feed and give them water, and keep them company for a while! I love pets so when I found out I could get paid for it, I was astounded! I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own, with tender love and care. I am a working college student at the moment, so I would be working part time. I would make time for my clients though, especially how I often have time in between my classes and I also have time after school during the week and on weekends. While I currently do not offer pets in my home, I will respect your home by keeping it clean and untouched by the time I leave. Now I will keep your pet company if that is the service you’d like and by doing so, we might empty their toys on the ground and play for a bit. That being said, it will be cleaned up and so will messes made by their food or water before I leave the house as well.

About: Having been around animals my entire life, I recognize that every pet has their own special personality. Sometimes, beautiful personalities require more attention, love, or patience than others. Every pet I have owned has been rescued in some form or another, whether from a shelter or right off of the street, and each one has brought their own challenges, but also their own beautiful ways of showing love. I have no problem with jumpy, hyper, or "mouthy" pets, or any other behaviors that might be deemed "problematic". My life with all sorts of animals has allowed me to gain valuable skills, including being comfortable around pets of all sizes and shapes, handling "pushy" behaviors, and caring for senior pets with specific health issues. Allow me to offer a loving hand when yours is not available. While I do work full-time, my schedule outside of the office and ability to travel allows me the flexibility to accommodate for any pet's needs. My number-one priority has always been safety. I've worked in professional environments with animals, such farms and shelters, and carry with me the valuable lessons I gained from those jobs.
