“Adam watched my cats this weekend (two drop-in visits) for the first time; he was fantastic and exceeded all my expectations! He showed up exactly at the arranged times and texted me 11 pictures each visit which not only showed me my beloved cats, but also showed me that all of the necessary tasks we had discussed previously had been completed (ie a picture of a cleaned litter pan, a picture of a food plate arranged with medication, etc). About: I grew up with dogs and cats as pets, so have lifelong experience caring for animals. My family owned a small farm for a period of time, so I also gained experience with horses in addition to cats and dogs. We owned a German Shepard and a cockapoo, so I do have direct experience with both smaller and larger dogs. In high school, I took 4 years of animal science, which further advanced my knowledge of pets and gave me hands on experience in a pre-veterinarian science atmosphere. I plan on returning to school in the near future to further my studies in the animal sciences field and pursue a career as a Veterinarian Technician. I have had a life full of loving animals and live to care for them any way I can.

About: Hi my name is Michael. I am a current senior at Wilkes who is looking to get involved in the local community. I have spent several years caring for dogs. I have two of my own at home in Stroudsburg (pit mixes), and in high school and over breaks I have pet sat and walked dogs for over a dozen homes in my community. For instance, I am well versed in dog body language, basic obedience, and many different breeds and personalities (small to big, guardian breeds, I love them all!). Afternoon and evening visits on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Weekend stays or longer visits potentially as well. Generally, I will also take notice and respond to any body language or comfort concerns, exercise and training expectations, feeding and medication routines, and any other requests that an owner or pet may bring! May was awesome with my two dogs. One dog was diagnosed with diabetes this year and has developed diabetic cataracts. I hesitated to leave them at home on a recent trip, but May took great care of my girls! She is wonderful and did a great job administering Bitsy's insulin. Jared did everything as expected. He arrived when he was supposed to, did was he was asked to do and send multiple photos of each visit. He was not a hands-off sitter, he sat on the couch and outside on the steps with the dogs, keeping them company and giving them lots of affection. I would use Jared again if I needed a sitter. This was a one time sitting as I had a family wedding out of state, usually a family member cares for my pets when I need to go away. Jared cared for my dogs better than my kids.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
