“Gwynne, as always, was amazing!! She was able to help us with almost no notice. We were able to enjoy a last minute get away and we knew our fur babies were in excellent hands”

“This was our first time trying Rover. Melissa came to do the meet&greet and I had such peace of mind. She kept us informed with photos and videos each time she visited our girl Piper. We seriously couldn’t be any happier with how this all went. Huge thank you from our hearts!”

“Andrew was incredible!! He watched our 2 cats while we were out of town for about a week and was very quick to respond and sent us lots of pictures. He was very accommodating to some last minute changes and was so good with our little kitties!! Will definitely be using his services again. Highly recommend!”

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was eight. Not only my own personal pets, but also those of friends and family members. I do not currently have any pets, but I love animals, so this is my way to interact and spend time with them! I currently attend school, but my classes are spread out and only on certain days so I have plenty of time to take your dog on a nice, long walk. I'm really good as being able to tell if an animal is comfortable in a situation or not, so after our first walk, I can find the most enjoyable route for your dog!

About: Lifelong Dog and Cat person, have always had pets and always will. I love all animals. My dog Hank was diagnosed with Glaucoma right before his 6th birthday; it was an adjustment getting used to a new routine of 3 different types of Eye-drops, every 8 hours. My friends and colleagues had often commented, "You're really good with animals." the💡idea became a recurring suggestion that I would enjoy offering temporary care to other people's Pets, similarly to how I lovingly care for any of my own animals. Often get asked why/how my dog Hank is so well behaved, mellow, and such a good dog. Is it the training? "Sure," of course. But most of it is quite simple: Hank is rarely left alone. He goes everywhere with me. He hikes about 5 miles every day. He doesn't overeat, or sit-around. He's active, gets exercise, and is socialized often with other people and pets. So when he meets a new person, it's not a first, it's his daily routine. If your work/life balance has you leaving your pet alone most days? I can help change your dog's daily routine - so when you come home from work? Your dog has had a full day of activities they enjoy, and are happy to see you (with less pent up energy) Available 7 days a week to care for your dogs or cats. Have flexibility to be able to adjust to a variety of tasks. Let's chat about what you need. Whether I'm stopping-in quickly to fill the water & food bowl, administering some mid-day medication, taking your dog outside for a brief walk, or picking up your pet at your place & taking it to their favorite park or nature center; even having your pet for a play-date at my house with our huge fenced in Yard, or doing a doggy slumber party at your home. I'm ready to keep your pet entertained, well cared for, well fed, up to date on all medications, and very well-loved while they're in my care. Relax knowing, i've checked ✔️ off that box representing the responsibility of your dog or cat, while you're working or vacationing.

About: Hi my name is Michael. I am a current senior at Wilkes who is looking to get involved in the local community. I have spent several years caring for dogs. I have two of my own at home in Stroudsburg (pit mixes), and in high school and over breaks I have pet sat and walked dogs for over a dozen homes in my community. I take pride in being a student leader and a future educator, as well as being responsible, dependable, and knowledgeable. For instance, I am well versed in dog body language, basic obedience, and many different breeds and personalities (small to big, guardian breeds, I love them all!). I am happy to reinforce the rules, expectations, and training that you have with your pet, or teach small new things like leash manners. Whether your dog needs to burn some energy, or just needs someone to check in on them throughout the week, I hope that you will consider me! Being a college student, my schedule is actually pretty flexible. I am generally available for: Morning/Midday walks/check-ins throughout the work week. Afternoon and evening visits on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Weekend stays or longer visits potentially as well. If you have any questions please reach out and I can see if we can work something out! Being a pet parent myself, I understand the varying needs and concerns when it comes to a pet sitter. Because of that, I take time to speak with all owners about expectations, routines, and how they would like me to approach their home and pets. I usually like to meet all pets with the owners before beginning care as well, simply to ensure that they are comfortable with me. Generally, I will also take notice and respond to any body language or comfort concerns, exercise and training expectations, feeding and medication routines, and any other requests that an owner or pet may bring! If you have any questions please also reach out!
About: I have lived with dogs my entire life and I had helped with the puppy stage for two dogs in the last 5 years. My family got a German Shepherd puppy 5 years ago and then we decided he needed a friend so I helped with a new puppy who’s a Beagle just this past fall. I also have had recent jobs where responsibility was a necessity as I was a para educator with special needs kids over the summer. I’m currently a college student so my weekdays are pretty busy with classes and trying to keep up with school work but I could be free on the weekends depending. At home I help with feeding my dogs, one of my dogs has epilepsy so I’m familiar with giving medications, I also help to walk them and love to play with them to help them get their energy out. I have also helped friends and siblings with watching their pets when needed.
“I cannot say enough about Daniela B. We adopted a puppy mill Bichon that doesn’t know home life, human touch or kindness. Daniela came to our house to care for our frightened, new (we adopted her two weeks prior to the sitting) girl. Daniela treated our girl as if she were her own, and put my worried mind at ease.”

About: I've been professionally caring for pets for over four years through my home-based pet sitting business, Yech's Pet Haven. I am also a licensed boarding facility, giving pet parents added peace of mind that their dogs are staying in a safe and compliant environment. During that time, I've cared for dogs of all ages, breeds, and sizes, including puppies, seniors, and pets with special routines or medications. I have experience safely managing multiple dogs, supervising playtime, and making sure every pet receives the individual attention they deserve. Growing up surrounded by animals, including dogs, horses, and goats, has given me a lifelong understanding of animal behavior and care. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, low-stress environment where every pet feels right at home while you're away. Pet care is a big part of my daily routine. Since I run a home-based boarding facility, I am able to provide frequent attention, potty breaks, playtime, walks, and supervision throughout the day. I keep my boarding numbers small so each pet receives personalized care and plenty of one-on-one attention. My schedule is built around making sure every dog feels comfortable, safe, and cared for while their family is away. I provide a safe, calm, and loving home environment where pets can relax and feel comfortable. As a licensed boarding facility, I prioritize cleanliness, safety, and responsible pet care. I carefully manage introductions, supervise interactions, and separate pets during meals, rest time, or whenever needed. I follow each pet’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise needs, and individual preferences, so they feel right at home.

About: Hi! I’m Allie, and I’d love to be your pet’s new favorite sitter! 🐾 I know how hard it can be to leave your pets with someone else, so my goal is to make that experience as easy and stress-free as possible. I’m dependable, attentive, and genuinely love animals. Your pets will get plenty of love, attention, playtime, and care while you’re away. I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m also happy to follow your pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, special instructions, and plenty of cuddles. ❤️ Communication is important to me, so you can expect regular updates and photos while your pet is in my care. I want you to be able to relax knowing they’re being well taken care of. Whether your pet needs a quick walk, a midday check-in, or someone to keep them company while you’re away, I’d be happy to help! I’m self-employed and work primarily from home, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m able to work my schedule around walks, potty breaks, feeding times, and playtime, rather than leaving pets alone for long periods. I love having animals around while I work, and I’m happy to provide the companionship and care they need throughout the day! Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I focus on making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, medications, playtime, and any special instructions. I’m respectful of your home and your pet’s space, and I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality and individual needs. I’ll also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away. 🐾❤️
About: Since the day I was born I’ve always had a dog around to take care of. He was my entire world, always treated him like my baby. My Grandparents also had two cats that I would take care from time to time. I just moved from Orlando Florida back to Laflin pa where I originally grew up and I’m currently a middle school teacher in Wilkes Barre I unfortunately do not offer boarding but I have no problem hanging out with furry friends in the comfort their own home! I’m very neat and ALWAYS treat a clients home with respect.
About: I've had dogs my whole like since I was a child. First dog was a beagle, then a Brittany Spaniel, then two Golden Retrievers. I've trained and house broken all my dogs and am very good friends with a dog trainer. At the time my friend was a dog trainer I was exposed to all different breads of dogs. I have plenty of time to walk dogs in the evenings and anytime on the weekends. During the week during day specific times can also be accommodated as well. At the time my dogs had a fenced in yard and crate if needed. Currently dogs can be brought into my apartment and I have various places I can take them to play.
“Lynn was great at communicating and sending me a photo of my cat while I was away everyday! She washed the water bowls daily, cleaned the litter boxes well, and overall was an excellent caregiver to my senior cat while I was away. Would highly recommend her!”

About: Peace of mind pet care! Hi there! I'm Noelle! I'm a 35 year old animal enthusiast. I have years of personal experience being a dog and cat guardian. I have also worked with animals in a retail setting and a shelter setting. I bring to the table knowledge of pet behavior, basic care, food, toys, treats, health and wellness products, accessories, and more (a little of everything). I believe all pets are family members and will treat them as though they were my own. I will try my best to accommodate any special needs or requests you may have. I'm always receptive to questions or concerns so feel free to ask! I'm trying to earn money to help support my furry family by spending some time with yours! I look forward to making some new fur friends! Please allow enough time before your furbaby is under my care for a Meet and Greet. I will not accept service requests without a proper meeting! I want to confirm your baby, my babies, and myself will be safe and comfortable during our interactions! Don't hesitate to ask me questions if your booking falls outside my normal availability. I will do my best to make your needs work with my schedule! I am Fully Insured and Bonded through BIC and a member of NAPPS since 2026! Currently trying to make this my main kibbles and bits! I am hypervigilant with my own furbabies and will be with yours as well! Potty time will always be supervised (if you have a fence) and a leash is a must for walks! I will stay by their side the whole visit!

About: I've taken care of multiple cats and dogs for the past 7 years, have helped with house sitting and dropping in to keep energetic dogs from tearing apart the house while the owners are away, and have walked dogs for quite a bit. I have also owned or lived in households where there are multiples cats and dogs, so taking care of more than one animal at a time is not an issue for me. I work night shifts and can easily pop out during the day to take care of any animal, stopping by the house to let the dog out as frequently as needed, feeding the pets, etc. I also have my own car, so transportation is not an issue. For pet care, it entirely depends on the animal. Basics, however, include feeding and providing fresh water, cleaning out litter boxes on a regular basis, and making sure dogs or more active pets get the exercise they need throughout the day.

I'm Shelby, your local dog lover and fashion designer; while caring for your beloved pup, I will give them tips on how they can improve their runway walk and enhance their personal style :) I have experience with, and love, all types of dogs and had a beautiful Golden Retriever of my own for 15 years. I am looking to make connections with regulars to establish relationships with the dogs that I am caring for, so feel free to reach out to me frequently! I recently moved to the Poconos from the suburbs of Philadelphia so I am accepting clients in both locations.
About: Hi! My name is Brooklin, and animals have been a huge part of my life for over 18 years. I have hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, breeds, and personalities. I previously worked with the Charleston Animal Society, where I gained valuable experience caring for animals and understanding their individual needs. My background has given me the skills to provide safe, reliable, and compassionate care for your pets while you're away. I am comfortable administering medications when needed and have experience monitoring pets' health, feeding schedules, water intake, bathroom habits, and overall well-being. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a calm and relaxed environment, I strive to make them feel comfortable, loved, and stress-free. I understand that every pet is unique, and I take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and personalities. My goal is to treat every animal as if they were my own and provide pet parents with peace of mind through dependable care and communication. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! At the moment I have a full time job, but have weekends off. I plan to entail doing this on my weekends and even after work days. This is more then just making it my routine. I adore animal(s). I have a fenced in yard, I as well have a crate. Plenty of opportunities for walking adventures. I enjoy going to the dog park, as well with adventuring outside anywhere with the animal(s). Whatever you set for rules or boundaries I’ll always continue to respect them, and always follow. I enjoy working with animal(s)

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Hudson
Amanda is an amazing person and of course pet sitter. My jazzy loves her! So glad I found her. She is honest, reliable, and caring. My cat has some special needs and she took care of everything. Thank you so much Amanda looking forward to using your services again!

Jared did everything as expected. He arrived when he was supposed to, did was he was asked to do and send multiple photos of each visit. He was not a hands-off sitter, he sat on the couch and outside on the steps with the dogs, keeping them company and giving them lots of affection. I would use Jared again if I needed a sitter. This was a one time sitting as I had a family wedding out of state, usually a family member cares for my pets when I need to go away. Jared cared for my dogs better than my kids.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
