“Andrew comes highly recommended. He is extremely dependable, thorough, and spends every minute of that window with your pet. He is very communicative, flexible, and further, is a consummate professional. Your pet is in good hands and to this day we take advantage of his availability every time we get the opportunity.”

“Karen and Donald were absolutely wonderful caring for my foster cat while I was away. They sent pictures each day and gave him some much needed play time.”
“Jennifer was amazing! We had a few issues pop-up with our dogs while we were away and Jennifer handled everything with ease. We were so comfortable knowing she was taking excellent care of them. Her communication was awesome. Sawyer and Digger absolutely loved her :) Finding a sitter for our dogs has been challenging, we had total peace of mind with her…that goes a long way! Highly recommend her, we will definitely be booking her again.”

“Gwynne was amazing! She made us feel very comfortable leaving our animals in her care and we came home to 2 very happy cats. She was super sweet, responsive, and professional. I will definitely recommend!”

About: I’ve been a dog owner for over 15 years and have experience with breeds ranging from Siberian huskies to chihuahuas! I share a deep passion for animals and take pride in my care for all furbabies. I work full-time but my love for animals is my top priority! Eventually, I want to make pet-sitting and taking care of animals my full-time career! I have experience in crating dogs, feeding, administering topical and oral medications. We will set up a meet and greet prior to booking to make sure your pet(s) are comfortable with me!
“I give Jared a 5-Star ***** rating for today’s visit . Hershey bonded with Jared way beyond my expectations. As the saying goes: “A picture tells a thousand words.” And Hershey looked happy. My dog was safe and loved. I will be booking Jared again through Rover! I highly recommend Jared as well. 🐾💕🐾”
“Anna has been wonderful dropping in to visit with my pup! She has been very good with communicating me with and always sends me photos & videos of her time with him. Anna did so well getting Ash to be comfortable with her and I can tell her visits with him are helping him through this rough patch with me being gone several days a week for long periods of time. He has separation anxiety and the mental health breaks during the day are so beneficial for him. I cannot say enough how great Anna has been for him and with him. Thank you, Anna! You are making a big difference for both Ash and I!”

“Amanda took great care of our pups while we escaped for the day. She checked in, was on time, and took lots of pictures to reassure us they were fine. Our kitty munchie even came out to visit her and she is very anti social. Would recommend Amanda and can’t wait to escape again.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by different types of dogs my whole life from sports dogs to K-9 units to house dogs. I love all kinds of dogs and I have dog sat many dogs like huskies and yorkies. I currently care for a 15 year old pitbull that needs attentive care and have the ability to adjust to newcomers and elder dogs. I have two dogs that I care for after my full time job. I’m currently looking for a side hustle job that I can do after work. Keeping the dog in its dominant home I think is safer than transporting the dog into a new environment. I’ll be sure to feed the dog its regular based food plan, constant let outs to bathroom use, and extensive cleaning if accident
“Adam watched my cats this weekend (two drop-in visits) for the first time; he was fantastic and exceeded all my expectations! He showed up exactly at the arranged times and texted me 11 pictures each visit which not only showed me my beloved cats, but also showed me that all of the necessary tasks we had discussed previously had been completed (ie a picture of a cleaned litter pan, a picture of a food plate arranged with medication, etc). And bullet items for each cat such as if poop and or pee was found in the litterpan. I highly recommend Adam and will definitely be using his services in the future! Thank you Adam!”

“Rielly is the perfect dog sitter! She went out of her way to spend time with our pups, brush them, & gave them extra treats! She is truly passionate about animals and it is evident in the way she cares for them as if they were her own.”

About: I am available anytime before 12pm. I also can do later in the evening from 8:30-11pm. I have my own baby; He’s an older shit zu/ yorkie named Chewbacca. He loves to go on a good walk. I understand having a senior dog. They are becoming fragile and not so aware, so you must be gentle and empathetic with the babies. I work part-time, so I am able to offer walks most days. My schedule is very flexible at work, so times will have to be discussed. We have one dog and two cats. They are allowed most places in the house. Affection is very big in this household. I try to take care of the animals health, with probiotics and correct food amounts.
“This is the second time I’ve booked Kimberly. We were able to work out a flexible schedule for her drop-in visits. Kimberly took good care of my cat! I came home to my happy Pudding! I’ll definitely ask Kimberly again.”

“Melissa is beyond a 5 star sitter!! I was very anxious leaving my 2 labs while I went away for a few days. Melissa had a meet and greet with them and answered all my questions. I was SO relieved! She sent pictures twice a day which kept me reassured the pups were doing well. She went above and beyond!!”

About: Hi my name is Michael. I am a current senior at Wilkes who is looking to get involved in the local community. I have spent several years caring for dogs. I have two of my own at home in Stroudsburg (pit mixes), and in high school and over breaks I have pet sat and walked dogs for over a dozen homes in my community. I take pride in being a student leader and a future educator, as well as being responsible, dependable, and knowledgeable. For instance, I am well versed in dog body language, basic obedience, and many different breeds and personalities (small to big, guardian breeds, I love them all!). I am happy to reinforce the rules, expectations, and training that you have with your pet, or teach small new things like leash manners. Whether your dog needs to burn some energy, or just needs someone to check in on them throughout the week, I hope that you will consider me! Being a college student, my schedule is actually pretty flexible. I am generally available for: Morning/Midday walks/check-ins throughout the work week. Afternoon and evening visits on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Weekend stays or longer visits potentially as well. If you have any questions please reach out and I can see if we can work something out! Being a pet parent myself, I understand the varying needs and concerns when it comes to a pet sitter. Because of that, I take time to speak with all owners about expectations, routines, and how they would like me to approach their home and pets. I usually like to meet all pets with the owners before beginning care as well, simply to ensure that they are comfortable with me. Generally, I will also take notice and respond to any body language or comfort concerns, exercise and training expectations, feeding and medication routines, and any other requests that an owner or pet may bring! If you have any questions please also reach out!
About: I grew up with dogs and cats as pets, so have lifelong experience caring for animals. My family owned a small farm for a period of time, so I also gained experience with horses in addition to cats and dogs. We owned a German Shepard and a cockapoo, so I do have direct experience with both smaller and larger dogs. In high school, I took 4 years of animal science, which further advanced my knowledge of pets and gave me hands on experience in a pre-veterinarian science atmosphere. I plan on returning to school in the near future to further my studies in the animal sciences field and pursue a career as a Veterinarian Technician. I have had a life full of loving animals and live to care for them any way I can.

Amanda is an amazing person and of course pet sitter. My jazzy loves her! So glad I found her. She is honest, reliable, and caring. My cat has some special needs and she took care of everything. Thank you so much Amanda looking forward to using your services again!

Melissa is beyond a 5 star sitter!! I was very anxious leaving my 2 labs while I went away for a few days. Melissa had a meet and greet with them and answered all my questions. I was SO relieved! She sent pictures twice a day which kept me reassured the pups were doing well. She went above and beyond!!
May was awesome with my two dogs. One dog was diagnosed with diabetes this year and has developed diabetic cataracts. I hesitated to leave them at home on a recent trip, but May took great care of my girls! She is wonderful and did a great job administering Bitsy's insulin. She has my highest possible recommendation!

Tammy was an amazing pet sitter for my four cats while I was gone on vacation!! I just needed her for two drop in visits originally, but she was available at a moments notice when I needed to add another date + for a quick emergency visit to the house because my cat knocked over his water fountain. My cats liked her a lot and she always sent plenty of photos :) Next time we have to travel I will absolutely see if she's available to check on them again!

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a West Wyoming stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in West Wyoming. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
