“Caring, reliable, on-time, attentive, and trustworthy. I have two large German Shepherds who crave attention and brushing and Karen and Donald did perfectly. I never had to worry about their safety or condition as they let me know every time they showed up, sent pictures, and when they left. I recommend them to anyone!!!!”
“Anna demonstrates exceptional ability with my pups, showing patience, kindness, and a thorough comprehension of their behaviors, and attentively catering to their needs.”

“Rielly is the perfect dog sitter! She went out of her way to spend time with our pups, brush them, & gave them extra treats! She is truly passionate about animals and it is evident in the way she cares for them as if they were her own.”

“Andrew was incredible!! He watched our 2 cats while we were out of town for about a week and was very quick to respond and sent us lots of pictures. He was very accommodating to some last minute changes and was so good with our little kitties!! Will definitely be using his services again. Highly recommend!”

“This is the second time I’ve booked Kimberly. We were able to work out a flexible schedule for her drop-in visits. Kimberly took good care of my cat! I came home to my happy Pudding! I’ll definitely ask Kimberly again.”

“Madison took great care of our boys when we were out of town. She knew exactly how to win their trust. All instructions left for our doggies care were followed. We will definitely reach out to Madison for any future doggy sitting needs. Thank you for looking after are boys. Yoda and Panda say HI!”

“Jill was amazing! She cared for our dogs like they were her own. I have 2 very different dogs with different needs and she was great for both. I have an older dog who needs love and slowness while the other is a younger hyper pup who needs alllllll the love and walking and energy. Jill sent photos while I was away. She took the worry away of being away from my babies!”

About: I've been professionally caring for pets for over four years through my home-based pet sitting business, Yech's Pet Haven. I am also a licensed boarding facility, giving pet parents added peace of mind that their dogs are staying in a safe and compliant environment. During that time, I've cared for dogs of all ages, breeds, and sizes, including puppies, seniors, and pets with special routines or medications. I have experience safely managing multiple dogs, supervising playtime, and making sure every pet receives the individual attention they deserve. Growing up surrounded by animals, including dogs, horses, and goats, has given me a lifelong understanding of animal behavior and care. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, low-stress environment where every pet feels right at home while you're away. Pet care is a big part of my daily routine. Since I run a home-based boarding facility, I am able to provide frequent attention, potty breaks, playtime, walks, and supervision throughout the day. I keep my boarding numbers small so each pet receives personalized care and plenty of one-on-one attention. My schedule is built around making sure every dog feels comfortable, safe, and cared for while their family is away. I provide a safe, calm, and loving home environment where pets can relax and feel comfortable. As a licensed boarding facility, I prioritize cleanliness, safety, and responsible pet care. I carefully manage introductions, supervise interactions, and separate pets during meals, rest time, or whenever needed. I follow each pet’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, exercise needs, and individual preferences, so they feel right at home.

About: Hi! I’m Allie, and I’d love to be your pet’s new favorite sitter! 🐾 I know how hard it can be to leave your pets with someone else, so my goal is to make that experience as easy and stress-free as possible. I’m dependable, attentive, and genuinely love animals. Your pets will get plenty of love, attention, playtime, and care while you’re away. I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m also happy to follow your pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, special instructions, and plenty of cuddles. ❤️ Communication is important to me, so you can expect regular updates and photos while your pet is in my care. I want you to be able to relax knowing they’re being well taken care of. Whether your pet needs a quick walk, a midday check-in, or someone to keep them company while you’re away, I’d be happy to help! I’m self-employed and work primarily from home, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m able to work my schedule around walks, potty breaks, feeding times, and playtime, rather than leaving pets alone for long periods. I love having animals around while I work, and I’m happy to provide the companionship and care they need throughout the day! Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I focus on making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, medications, playtime, and any special instructions. I’m respectful of your home and your pet’s space, and I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality and individual needs. I’ll also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away. 🐾❤️

Pet care fits easily into my routine and I love breaking up study time with walks, playtime, and cuddles. Your pet will always be a happy priority! I always focus on keeping pets safe, comfortable, and happy, whether I am in my home or yours. “Daniela is amazing! When I was looking for someone to take care of my baby, I was looking for someone who would make my pup feel loved. Daniela made me feel that. As soon as she walked through the door, my pup fell in love. It was our first time being away from our dog and we felt extremely comfortable with Daniela taking care of our baby while we were gone. She is extremely loving and attentive, always not only on time, but early to visits, and very communicative during visits. She definitely has a passion for animals and asks more questions than you would even think to answer when it comes to your pet. When it comes to finding someone to care for your pet, Daniela is the best of the best. She is someone who truly understands that pets are not only pets, but they are family, and she will go above and beyond to make sure your baby feels safe, comfortable, and loved.”

Caring for pets isn’t a chore—it’s a rewarding part of my everyday life. In both settings, I prioritize open communication with pet owners to understand each pet’s unique needs and preferences, ensuring a personalized and caring experience for every pet.
About: I have grown up with lots of dogs from small to large! I own a dog myself, a turtle and fish! Most of my experience is with dogs but I’m a fan of all animals! Willing to care for any needs you require. I am a stay at home Mom that has lots of availability! I am available morning, afternoon and evenings! About: I’ve checked in on multiple pets before. Friends and my own family and relatives message me to come in, walk their dog, feed and give them water, and keep them company for a while! I love pets so when I found out I could get paid for it, I was astounded! I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own, with tender love and care. I am a working college student at the moment, so I would be working part time. I would make time for my clients though, especially how I often have time in between my classes and I also have time after school during the week and on weekends. While I currently do not offer pets in my home, I will respect your home by keeping it clean and untouched by the time I leave. Now I will keep your pet company if that is the service you’d like and by doing so, we might empty their toys on the ground and play for a bit. That being said, it will be cleaned up and so will messes made by their food or water before I leave the house as well.

Amanda is an amazing person and of course pet sitter. My jazzy loves her! So glad I found her. She is honest, reliable, and caring. My cat has some special needs and she took care of everything. Thank you so much Amanda looking forward to using your services again!

Tammy was an amazing pet sitter for my four cats while I was gone on vacation!! I just needed her for two drop in visits originally, but she was available at a moments notice when I needed to add another date + for a quick emergency visit to the house because my cat knocked over his water fountain. My cats liked her a lot and she always sent plenty of photos :) Next time we have to travel I will absolutely see if she's available to check on them again!

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
