“Deborah was amazing with our kitty! She provided loving care and kept us updated regularly on how she was eating, sleeping, and bonding. And we came home from our trip of 2+ weeks to a spotless house. We will definitely look to have Deborah sit again and would highly recommend her!”

“Telma took care of my sweet Hank and treated him as if he was her own. She provided updates and photos and even put hit sweatshirt on him when it was cold out. He had a blast on his walks and she was very quick to Respond and provide updates on Hank. She did a great job and I would strongly recommend her to family and friends. Thank you, Telma!”

“Dana was wonderful housesitting our two cats for a long weekend! She was professional, prompt, communicative, and sent excellent pictures. Huge thank you to Dana for bearing with our extra detailed care instructions and for generally making everything super easy for us! We’ll definitely reach out again for the next trip.”

“We were able to secure Meghan to look after our Chadwick for a few days while we were away. She watched our place (and Chad) and was outstanding with communication and some EXCELLENT pictures that looked like Chadwick was having an absolute blast. When it was time for her to leave, he wanted to follow her to the elevator. He really took to her, and we can't recommend her enough.”

“WOW! No really, WOW! Hieu and Anna are AMAZING! I can't thank them enough for taking such good care of pup. You see, she can be a challenge. I can't board her due to her fear aggression issues (we're in therapy for it!). From the meet and greet, which by the end of my pup was on her back getting belly rubs from them (and that never happens with other people!) to the excellent communication (with hilarious fotos) from them, I am beyond impressed. And they left my home exactly the way they found it: clean and tidy! I've had some real disasters with pet sitters and Hieu and Anna are absolute GEMS!”

“Lenny is wonderful! Upon her 1st visit all the animals including the cats that usually hide from strangers were investigating her. She took great care of everyone - our cats and our dogs. She even did wash animals bowls and the dishes we left in the sink in a rush to leave. Everyone seem to be very happy. She sent a ton of photos and asked questions! Cannot recommend enough!”

“Melissa was great and Rocky loved her! This was my first time using Rover and I was nervous but Melissa eased my mind. Not being used to “strangers” staying with him, Rocky had some separation anxiety. Melissa was very straightforward about it and kept me updated the whole time. I made some suggestions and she tried them all. I would love to have Melissa stay with Rocky again if she’s interested.”

“Ray was wonderful with our dog and took great care of both her and our home. Communication throughout the stay was excellent — we received thoughtful updates, honest notes about how things were going, and clear follow-ups at the end. Our dog can be a little hesitant in bad weather and new situations, and Ray was patient, attentive, and proactive in giving her plenty of opportunities, encouragement, and affection. It was clear she was comfortable, well-exercised, and genuinely cared for. Ray also went above and beyond making sure everything was clean and handled before leaving. We came home to a happy pup and a well-kept house, which is exactly what you hope for. We’d absolutely trust Ray again and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter.”

About: I’ve grown up with pets all my life, and can’t imagine life without a furry companion or two. Or three. Or a hundred. But I can’t have a hundred critters in my apartment, so I have to fill those critter-shaped gaps with YOUR fur babies! I have 20 years of experience with cats, and about 8 years experience with dogs. Over the years, I have fulfilled multiple house and pet-sitting gigs spanning as long as two weeks, or as short as a single walk around the block. I am happy to learn how to administer medications or provide reasonable levels of support for any animal’s medical or behavioral needs. Currently in between jobs, and needing to pay rent while I look for work! I’m putting my name out there to help my community and their pets during this time of increased availability. My schedule is pretty flexible. As a renter, I cannot offer my own spaces at this time. However, I am more than happy to drive out to care for your pets at your home! With instructions communicated to me, I am happy to water plants, rotate lights, adjust blinds, etc. as well.
About: I am super friendly out going and love being and playing with all dogs different shapes and sizes. I have an open availability almost always. I have worked in several dog daycares and was also a grooming apprentice. I know the basics in grooming like nail trims, ear cleaning, teeth cleaning, bathing and brushing dogs. I have experience with all sized dogs with a variety of different temperaments. I'm always available to give cuddles to fur babies when they need and or want them. I enjoy having the company of dogs in my home and having the chance to make them all feel right at home with my family. Your fur baby will feel very spoiled in my home. I love working with all dogs.

“Veronica is the best dog sitter I’ve ever had! My six month old puppy Zeke loved her and had such a great time with her and her dog JoJo. She kept me up-to-date on how things were going and sent pictures every day. She stayed at my house and when I returned, it was like I never left… She had cleaned everything up!! She is fantastic! Highly recommended!”

I am available after work for dog walks, and fridays i’m usually pretty available. I can also provide house sitting and boarding. I don’t have any pets but i have area for long walks and im near a dog park. my apartment has lots of dog space
About: I love to take care cats and dogs I take great pride in making sure they are well taken care of. Also if there are certain routines for your pet that to be followed I can handle it because once I’ve learned the routine I can stick with it when ever I take care of your pet for you. I also have some training in animal first aid because it was required for the Petcare company. I also have a really big problem with taking care of dogs thar will bite you because I’ve beaten by two dogs in the past two years by two completely different dogs. Also I know how to take care of cats as well such as cleaning the litter and feeding them their food. I’ve worked as a pet sitter for two years. Taking care of pet seems to be what I’m best good at because I really love and care about animals. When I’m not working at the daycare where I take care of school age kids and on the weekends I’m usually free all day long Make sure that they’re fed and played with and make sure they’re with me at all times and even sit with them to make them comfortable

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Wiley
We have two very anxious pups, and against all odds ZaNai won them both over. She was patient, knowledgable, and clearly experienced. She kept us informed and even FaceTimed us daily so we could see the dogs. She took great care of our house, leaving it clean and even ready for us to come home with fresh linens on the beds and freshly baked brownies on the counter! We are so grateful for ZaNai and would 100% recommend her to anybody looking for an in-home dog sitter!

Eyowyn was great! She sent multiple photo updates and took great care of Dixie. She was responsive and made sure to take the time to do a meet in greet giving me piece of mind and letting Dixie get comfortable with her. The house was left clean and as if she hadn’t been here. She’s the best!

Telma took care of my sweet Hank and treated him as if he was her own. She provided updates and photos and even put hit sweatshirt on him when it was cold out. He had a blast on his walks and she was very quick to Respond and provide updates on Hank. She did a great job and I would strongly recommend her to family and friends. Thank you, Telma!

I had a great experience with Maya as a sitter for my puppy Nela. She showed up on time, was reliable, and communicated clearly throughout the day. She followed all feeding instructions exactly and went above and beyond by giving Nela plenty of playtime and sending me updates. Highly recommend!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wiley walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wiley maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wiley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wiley. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
