I was really pleased with Ty and Charlie. Their setup worked extremely well for our very Velcro-needy guy. I was initially a little hesitant about having two people watching him, simply because we’d never had a couple before, but if you’re on the fence like I was, don’t pass them up — it worked perfectly for us. They arrived on time for both the meet-and-greet and the sitting job, and they checked in to confirm the times I had listed before coming and when they were scheduled to leave. Our guy is very routine-oriented, and they followed my detailed instructions (yes, I’m that parent!) to a tee — including giving his meds on time, which was huge for us since some past sitters have struggled with that. I truly couldn’t have asked for better sitters; they’re probably my favorite so far. I’ll absolutely continue to use them and am already working to see if they’re available to sit for us again. I would definitely recommend them to others. Thank you both so much for taking such great care of him!

We had a wonderful experience with our dog sitter. She was incredibly responsive and communicative throughout our time away, which gave us real peace of mind. We loved receiving daily photos and updates, and it was clear our dogs were well cared for and comfortable. She also left our home clean and tidy, which we really appreciated. We’re very grateful for her care and would happily book with her again.

Hannah managed to coax our three shy cats out of their hiding places and eventually even got kisses from the boy cat. She kept us informed of her progress along the way to feline acceptance with emails, photos and new toys from them. As a house sitter, Hannah dealt with Verizon FiOS when our wifi went down by troubleshooting and meeting with the technician who was able to fix the problem. And she left the house cleaner than we left it! We (both humans and felines) look forward to calling on Hannah for our next vacation.

About: Hello, I’ve been taking care of my dog as well as my family’s and friend’s pets since I was 5, and I love all kinds of animals. I have just recently gotten out of the military and I will be having a lot of free time soon so I figured it would be the best time to take care of pets since they require a lot of attention. I will make sure your pet is properly walked and fed and played with for proper exercise daily, as well as applying any medicine needed.

About: I’m new to rover but a lifelong pet care provider. I’ve primarily cared for dogs and cats. I’ve some experience with exotics like birds and reptiles as well. I’ve cared for and raised dogs and cats from puppies/kittens to geriatrics and their many potential extra care needs. I pride myself on bringing a balance of experience and calm but engaging energy for all pets. I have experience caring for dogs as small as 7lbs and as large as 90lbs. I’ve provided care for multi-pet and multi-species homes. I pride myself on being the most popular person at the dog park (with dogs, I’m not there for the people). I’m happy to provide additional care to animals that need it for medical or non-medical reasons. Every person and every pet has their own personality and quirks, so I’m happy to learn and provide the highest quality care that I can. I’m currently open to pet care across many times and days. So if you need a recurring or spontaneous pet care, I am happy to work with you. I am experienced with crate training and can crate your dogs if needed. Every home has different dynamics and rules that I want to respect and make your pets experience with me as comfortable and fun as possible. If you have any special requirements, safety concerns, or additional accommodations, then I am always happy to work with pets and their owners for the best possible situation.

I highly recommend Katherine! This was our first time using her services, and she definitely met our expectations. She was extremely communicative, followed our specific care instructions to the letter, and took wonderful care of our cat and dog. In her home visit beforehand, she asked specific questions that showed she was listening and cared about corrective care. When we returned, not only were our animals happy to see us, but they seemed completely at ease - as if we’d never left. The house was just as we left it, and she even took care of thoughtful little details, like refilling the water pitcher we use for their bowls. You really can’t ask for more when trusting someone with your pets.

About: I’ve have experience with large medium and small dogs! I currently have a Shih Tzu mix who is super friendly, of course she lives upstairs, but she does like to say hi to friendly dogs. She is 16 years old and still runs, jumps, plays with toys, gets excited about treats, and it’s pretty much the runner of the household lol. I am a favorite human for most of my friends’ dogs and for some reason tend to bring out their playful nature like no one else can. I have yet to figure this out why- maybe because I’m a Play Therapist? My neighborhood has an awesome cul de sac and is the perfect neighborhood for long walks. All my neighbors are friendly and love pets! My neighborhood is also very safe and quiet so it’s truly a cottage of peace! Please read about my downstairs studio- Coco’s Cottage and make sure your pet is suitable! I work full time, but I’m self employed and can work around my own schedule. I sometimes don’t leave the house until 11 am! Feel free to ask me more! Please make sure to read about Coco’s Cottage below as this is where your pets will be boarded! My pet cottage- Coco’s Cottage- is just for your baby/babies! It’s my downstairs studio, above ground with sliding glass doors that open up to my fenced in backyard and deck! It’s a pretty decent space to run and jump and get some exercise in. Coco’s Cottage is not used by my pets, it’s a sanctuary where pets can come and chill on the couch, the bed, I put on tv or music sometimes to give the space a homey feel for them! I pass between the downstairs and upstairs constantly, making sure all needs and wants are met!

Natalie took great care of our dog while we were away. I had some concerns leaving our dog with a stranger for the first time because he can be protective of his home. Natalie made the time to come meet our pup at a neutral spot and then headed to the home so he could get use to her in his environment. The meet and greet went well and our dog was excited to see her when she came to stay overnight. Natalie was very quick when returning my texts and calls. She took great care of our pup while we were away and we will use her again in the future.

Tiana is the ultimate professional. I almost had to cancel the booking due to unforeseen circumstances. She handled it with understanding, grace, and patience. I’m glad I was able to make alternate plans and keep my booking with her. She was early to everything related to the booking which shows how serious she takes her job. Everything seemed pretty okay overall, but there were several issues I wanted to mention. I had asked Sarah to bring her own toiletries, including a towel and washcloth, but she ended up using mine instead. I also noticed that the dogs did not eat their dinner, and I’m not sure what time they were fed or whether their normal feeding schedule was followed. I specifically asked that their food be served in the ceramic bowl, but it was put in the wrong bowl. Aston also had an accident and peed in the bed. I’m unsure when their last potty break was, so I can’t say for certain whether the timing contributed to the accident. I would have appreciated clearer communication about their feeding and potty schedule and closer attention to the care instructions I provided. Following the rules and instructions provided is important to me, especially when it comes to the care and safety of my dogs and home. I also expect personal belongings that do not belong to the sitter to be respected and not used without permission. Most importantly, Sarah left the door open without knowing what time I would arrive. This was a serious safety concern, as anything—or anyone—could have entered my home. Safety is very important to me, and this should not have happened. Overall, the stay was okay, but following instructions, respecting boundaries, communicating clearly, and prioritizing safety would have made the experience much better.

FAQs for House Sitting - Agnewville

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Agnewville on Rover is $37.45 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 9,389 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Agnewville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Agnewville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Agnewville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Agnewville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Agnewville. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
